CHEERY O
Hey there lOvely ladies!!!

Can I just BRAG!!!! for a second about Scott? Many of you know how much he struggled in HS, and how amazing it is that he has been doing so well in college. He texted Gary and I a photo yesterday- he got an A+ on a paper he had written. An A+!!!! It's not that I am surprised, b/c I am not, I know he has that in him, had it all along. But the fact that he is seeing it, in B&W -- does my heart good! He worked really hard on it and he had a hard time getting started, but once he got rolling... he did good. ;)
He cracked me up too, the paper was for Music History or something along those lines. For this assignment, he had to watch a concert of his choosing, either live or recorded.
He chose to do one of Pink Floyd in Berlin, in 1977. he is a huge PF fan. He was having a hard time at first b/c the Rubric the prof was using was geared more toward classical music. He bribed himself that when he was done, he was going to buy a Pink Floyd Album on vinyl as a reward. Then he decided it wasn't going to be just being finished, but if he got a good grade.
Guess what he did yesterday? Asked to borrow my credit card to place that order.
:whoo:

That was the highlight of my day, but darn, it was a good one!

Today, my "big" goal is to get ready for food shopping tomorrow and making deviled eggs with the eggs the kids dyed on Sunday.

I also have to rip out a crochet project I was working on. I have been following the pattern, counting my stitches, but something is not looking right. It was a stretchy headband that I thought Cait could use when she does her makeup to hold her hair back.

So that is it from. I don't have a QOTD at the moment but if something hits me, I will post it!

xoxoxo!

Morning O fam- a second extra day off for me. I have done my exercise and spent time talking with a friend, who validated my worth- love those kinds of calls. Off to call the bank to see what they think my worth is!!

Morning everyone... It is a beautiful sunny. but cool morning, frost on the rooftops. With DH home for the past 4 days, we got so much accomplished around here and at his parents place too. My backyard is looking pretty good and DH even managed to get the moss taken care of on the roof of the house. Many more projects to get done, but we are sore and tired from all the yard work.

Chris - Wow!!! Hooray for Scott!! You should shout it from the roof tops Chris!! You have every right to be the proudest Mom ever!! Too bad about the crochet project, I have never been able to crochet, but I used to knit a lot. I keep thinking that I should take it up again, but then it would just interfere with my scrapping time, so MEH!!

Today not much is going on, I think that I will go swimming and get back into doing my laps after 4 days away from it. Perhaps a page or two of scrapping and I have to decide what I want to plant in my new garden behind the retaining wall that hubby finally got finished. I hope everyone had a great Easter and that today will be filled with fun and creativity!!

Chris, nothing is as wonderful as when your kids do good. Congratulations!

Once again, I got nothin'! Scrapping our recent trip to Arizona, and tagging. Actually, I need to capitalize Tagging...it is such a pervasive part of my life.

OH! I will share, however, about the book I'm reading right now. It is a HOOT! The All-Girl Filling Station's Last Reunion by Fanny Flagg. It's the first book in awhile that I'm enjoying so much I resent getting sleepy and having to shut down for the night!

Trudy, I'm so impressed with your gardening. The most gardening I ever do is plant stuff in the patio pots...and I'm moving toward perennials so I don't have to even do THAT! DH does all our yard work. Hopefully the swim will take some of the kinks out.

Sharon - DH and I love to be out in the garden! We work well together and most of the plants I have are perennials now, but even those need some attention. After so many years in the cold long winters of the prairie, we are so happy to be able to be back outside for most of the year! I will have to check out your book, I have not been able to enjoy my reading since finishing the Outlander series. I miss Jamie and Claire in my life everyday LOL

Hey, there, I am back for a few minutes before I am off to make the deviled eggs. But I didn't want to miss catching up with all of you again.

Hi Laurie and Trudy and Shar!

From yesterday:

hahahaha!!!!! Sharon, there are many times I have to bite my tongue, smile and nod, b/c if I ask for clarification, it only gets me more muddled!LOL Congrats on being a guest on Romy's CT! That has to be so fun!

Nancy- where did you find the camera? Spring clothes. *snorts* we might get sleet/wet snow over night.

Trudy-- go ahead, rub it in! Cait and I were ooohing and ahhhing over one lone bunch of crocus that bloomed yesterday.
One of these days I am going to see if I can find Outlander online since I don't have any Pay Channels (Starz is it? HBO?)

Shar- I have never heard of that show, is a BBC one (since you talk about England?)

Laurie- I hope that whatever move you make, it is the right one for you all!

Chris, it is into its third season, I think, on PBS. Set in the early 50s. Excellent production in every way. Even DH likes it.
