Good morning O-Fam! Hope all of you are enjoying this last day of April.
I wish the sun was out a bit because my brain is a bit foggy. Maybe it is just that the coffee hasn't kicked in yet. :cof2:

I was out of the house for the longest time in a while yesterday. And it was the first time I have worn jeans since before the surgery and OMG- that was a *mistake.* Being lazy for so long and eating so much junk caught up with me quickly. That has to stop.
My appt went fine although I am not entirely done. I mentioned that my ankle is still stiff and sore in spots so he had me stand and walk a bit. I have flat feet and I guess that is impacting the way my foot lands. I am getting some arch supports made which should help. When I was a kid, I had to wear orthopedic shoes and they called them "cookies." I thought it was neat to get cookies, but after I realized what they were, I wasn't all that amused. (Especially since I had to wear special shoes and all of the other little girls got to wear cute ones)

I went to my parents' for coffee and then my brother stopped in so we went to lunch together. He got the new Galaxy 10 (?) the one with 5 cameras. They were in Washington DC last week and the pictures that thing takes-- wow. If I won the lottery, that would be on my list of things to buy!
Gary was going to come with me food shopping but he threw his back out last night.

Have a fab day everyone!

Nancy- it is too cold! That sounds like my family with the lawn mower/weather/weeds! Good that you didn't have to stay up too late with hockey but I am hoping for lots of 7 game series for you. Spread it out. :)
I have such mixed feelings for you about your son moving out temporarily. It is such a good thing but it stinks that it is so unaffordable.

Trudy- Did you get all of your painting hung up? Did you take pics so we can see?? So exciting! I should google the law re: mirrors in NJ too.

Jean- were you successful with your family history book? I love hearing about how Nature knows that it is springtime even though we humans are cold. Bet your yard is looking beautiful with the plants.

Kay- my heart is pounding as I read your PSE story! :faint2: Props to the Tech Support. That is impressive but must have been anxiety-inducing. Hope that the book helps take you away from it all for a while.

Hugs, everyone!!

Well, I am not a happy camper this morning. It looked like things were okay but the same problem with PSE re-occurred this morning. Not sure what is going on!!! I may have to move to my DH's computer which means transferring all my bookmarks, files and software!!! I will have my grandson-in-law take a look at this morning. If he can't resolve it - guess it means my computer will have to go to into the shop. Grrrrr!!!

Morning ladies... It is sunny here again today, but still so chilly in the mornings. Oh well soon we will be complaining that it is too darn hot LOL. We are never happy are we :becky: Everything went well at the coffee shop yesterday! I got all the paintings hung and they all wished me good luck with selling them. I don't have any high expectations, but I can leave them there as long as I want to, hopefully someone will think one of them will look good in their home?? I now have another project to work on, our Brother-In-Law brought me a hand saw that he wants me to paint, he wants spawning salmon painted on it. That should be a bit of a challenge for me, but fun too. He says he has a few buddies that might want me to do some painting for them also. Today I will go to the pool and get in my laps. This afternoon my new oven is supposed to arrive Hooray!! They phoned last night and gave a delivery timeline of between 12 noon and 4pm. I was happy that I did not have to cancel my swim time! I did take some photos of my paintings in the coffee shop and will try to get them posted here in a bit.

Chris - Sorry that your jeans are fitting like they used to, it sure doesn't take long for a couple of pounds to show up does it!! I know that you have had eating issues in your past, so don't freak out about it, you will get active again and your jeans will fit you just fine!! Hope that the arch supports help with your stiff ankle! Cute that you thought the cookies were something other than shoes LOL. Nice that you got to have lunch with your brother! Wow that phone sounds amazing, how on earth do they fit 5 cameras into one little phone?? Sure hope that the sun comes out for you at some point today! Summer has got to show up for you at some point right?? Heather was telling me that they are in for a whole week of crappy rainy weather. Ughh!! :rain:

Kay - Ohhh darn it!! That is so horrible that you continue to have problems with your Photoshop!! Did your computer do some kind of a windows update?? I know that has been the problem for many photoshop and PSE users and undoing the update usually is the solution! I sure hope your grandson-in-law can solve the problem for you!

Lots to get caught up with here at the O today! I hope that you all have a lovely Tuesday!

Good morning - it is cloudy and dreary but the rain has moved on. Luther is resting as he had a long walk and then had to go to the vet and still has his ear infection. Poor baby. Yesterday at swim rehab one of the women said her ex-husband's youngest son, only 17, was died in a single car accident. How sad is that. He was alone after mid-night and in NJ I think if he is out that late he is supposed to have an adult with him. No drugs or alcohol involved. I am thinking he probably just fell asleep. So sad! Came home and watched hockey. Very quiet at the house.

Chris I too need support for my arches and have special inserts in my tennis shoes. It really does help. At rehab they taught me to be more conscience of walking heel toe, heel toe. How nice to have brother stop by and have lunch. Phones are becoming too good at taking photos. But I still love my dSLR. And I want warmer temps!

Kay that is terrible about the Elements program. Have you thought about going to photoshop CC on the web. Yes I pay but it is so cool to have the continuous updates and all the tools you need. I hope you get the problem solved. I am impressed at how much work and time the tech put in to solve the problem. good luck today!

Trudy I cant wait to see the photos of your paintings hanging in the shop! It is good for people to see what they look like on walls. Yes the weather here in the east is not great! That is cute that BIL wants his power saw painted! That is a photo I really want to see!

Jean I have not noticed too many insects but the swallows on one of our walks are back and chasing something so they must be out. Spring is coming.

Waving to all! Have a great day!

Quick in and back out again. Update on PSE issues.... turned out it was a permissions problem with PSE. Spent another hour with Adobe tech who had to go in and change permissions on all the PSE files and folders. He says that should take care of it. Fingers crossed that he is right. You might be right, Trudy. Think that Windows did an update this week.

Wow... those photos and your artwork is fantastic.

Gotta run as GSiL is due here any moment. CYL

ETA: think I will leave the computer in sleep mode until I get all my LOs done that are needed this week.

What I time I had with the book. Finished the images last night then tried to upload them. Not many got through, so got up early this morning to try again, but still not too good. Finally gave in and went up to the senior center where Internet is fast. Then it worked like a charm. DH reviewed it all and then we placed the order. So cool to get in on 50% off and also free shipping. Sure hope his sister and her daughter enjoy getting it when they're here next month. Now I am drooping from being up too early.

Chris, hope inserts help with the ankle and all. I'm more flat-footed on one foot than the other, so standard ones are too awkward. I think you'll remember to not pay attention to the fit of the jeans and just concentrate on getting active again. Amazing to have 5 cameras in a phone!

Kay, so glad you're making progress on the PSE problems. Good idea though to stay in sleep mode while projects are getting finished.

Trudy, WOWSERS! The paintings look great and I really like the brick walls for them. I too want to see the hand saw if you take on that job. How curious a thing to want painted. And thanks for looking at my blog. I am so pleased to be working on my drawings again. Hope the oven came as is wonderful.

Nancy, so sad about that young fellow. But have fun with the hockey.
