The sun is shiii-ning, the sun is shiii-ning!

Deep breath in.... and out... In...... and out. One last time, in and out

Good morning, dear o-zies! Yes, I am over the moon (sun!) to see blue skies today! It is cold and we have frost advisories but it isn't raining!!! Yay!
My kids are really struggling with this weather. As if the entire situation isn't crummy enough, the dreary days are making everyone a bit blah. Poor guys have no idea how to deal with finals and papers. Scott has a Literature Review due in a few days and is totally overthinking it. He knows it but can't get it resolved in his head that he can take the class Pass-Fail- all he has to do is get a passing grade. After all those years when he did not give a crap about grades, the last 2 he has really worked so hard and cares about his work. Cait is pressuring herself still. She doesn't want to take any of her classes P-F, she still wants those As. But as her mom, I wonder at what cost? Two weeks and it will be over.

One of Caitlyn's professors gave them the format of how the one Final will be administered and she is not happy with it. She has to log in and it uses her laptop's camera and mic to monitor her activities. It is powered with AI to look for behaviors that indicate cheating. She isn't worried about cheating but is creeped out by the AI and privacy issues.

Yesterday's painting project was fine- the cabinets don't look any different, just clean. I also finished another LO-- 16 down, 4 more to go.
Today's big project is to get outside and clean my patio up. It is too cold to wash it down, but I can at least sweep it up and scrape the moss off of the planter box.

Nancy- Are you as happy as I am to see the sun? Luther is gonna be a happy boy to get outside too. Are you close enough to the Blue Angel's flight path to see the flyover today? They are going from GWB to LI and Newark. It would be really cool to see them. At first, I was annoyed that they were doing this-- what a waste of money! Then I read that a lot of pilots need to get flight hours in to keep certifications and this is one way that they can do it. I hope that is the truth b/c is the gov't is doing this as a "show" I would rather see the money be spent on something useful. Like PPE or testing.
How fun to see the Devils win the Cup again. That is great that your knees are doing so well.

Felis- what a fun project that Jet is doing with the music video. There are so many creative people out there.
My kids re so stressed about their finances. And al I can say is how thankful I am that Scott paid off his student loans already. He sold Mutual Funds that my dad started when they were babies right before the markets crashed. Literally days before. But still- no jobs... :(
I keep telling them that they are here-- no rent, no pressure. It is hard for them though. I hope that your financial situation improves too.
What a pretty, sunny photo! Thank you for sharing!!

Jean- did the sun yesterday make you feel better? When will you see that miraculous ball of light again? After today, I don't have any idea when it will be back. what a pretty page!!
Scott had talked to the Ecology Center where he intern/had job offer after graduation when this first started. He was supposed to work with the Camp kids again but they had no idea if camp was going to run. One idea he had was to do Go-Pro type hikes for subscribers, like with a Patreon through the Center's website. If NJ's distancing restrictions loosen, he might be able to do landscaping type work too. OTOH- they are a non-profit and no idea if they will have funds to re-open at all. Cait was hoping to work at the school she was at for her internship and no idea if they will open and if they do, can they afford another teacher?
I am hoping that my cleaning jobs come back at some point too. It is all such a mess.
Carnival night is coming along-- I ordered mozzarella sticks from Walmart and I can make nachos too. I usually have a few cans of vegetarian refried beans on hand.
That is awesome news about the Zoom H&S!

Trudy- you were very chatty yesterday! How nice to talk to the boys and your DS for so long. Sorry about the internet co chat. That is never fun.

Hugs everyone!!xoxo

Good morning everyone! It is cloudy with a few patches of blue sky this morning. Sounds like the rain will start up again around noon though. I hope to be able to get for a walk before that happens, but who knows I could be on face time with everyone again? :noidea: It is all good as I love my chats with the grands, they make me smile! Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day for Heather and her guys, so she took them to Tim Horton's drive through LOL she was on her scooter and Jonah rigged up the wagon behind her scooter so she pulled them over to Tim's and they got donuts with sprinkles and chocolate milk. Such a treat!!! First one in over 6 weeks. Tim Hortons restaurant part is not open yet but the drive through has always been, its a busy little place but its only a block away from Heather, and she felt safe to take the boys. She sent me a photo of them sitting outside enjoying their treat in the sunshine. So cute! Perhaps I can get a page done with it? Got everything all done with the Internet/TV/Phone provider yesterday and ended up getting a pretty good deal, we now have faster internet, more TV channels and at less $$'s than we were already paying! Hooray for us!! I am very happy as I did not want to switch over to the competition and have them come and install all new equipment again!! I posted this for Felis the other day, but not sure she even saw it, so I will share with everyone here in case you need a bit fun music to listen to this morning. https://globalnews.ca/video/rd/ddcc6efa-87dc-11ea-a5b9-0242ac110003/?jwsource=cl. Oh I just went to look and yes she has seen it, so happy!!!

Chris - I sure hope that everything gets settled with the kids education! It is stressful enough going through finals with out all of this other crap happening!! Now to have to worry about having employment too!! Hopefully your clients will call you for cleaning again soon too! I hope you get to see the Blue Angels, it might brighten your day a bit!

Nancy - I hope that the sun is shining for your and Luther today for your walk! How great to hear that your knees are holding up so well! Sure wish my DH would get on the wait list for his replacements, but who knows how far backed up that will be now?? Sounds like you had a good day of Devil's hockey the other day and I will have to check out your newest pages! We did get the yard all straightened up and looking beautiful once more, until the next wind storm at least LOL. I hear ya about being sick of the rain, we are in for three days at least of constant rain, hopefully the forecast will change, who knows :noidea:

Jean - How lovely to have your window opened on your warm sunny day! Now back to the rain though :mmph: I love the finches, we get many of the red ones, but don't see too many of the yellow ones, I wonder why?? Your page is lovely and sunny and bright! Thanks for sharing!

Felis - I am so happy that you saw the link for the music video! I adore Mr. Buble and that was such a happy little song! I have watched it over and over again and it always puts a smile on my face! Hope you enjoyed the movie night! Yes the Orient Express is a good one to see! Nice that you got all your little chores done so that you have a free night to sit and watch a movie! Did you have popcorn too??

Ok I am thinking that the kids will start their face time chat with me shortly, so I better go get my bed made and grab another cup of coffee too. Have a lovely day everyone! Keep safe!!

good late morning - I am waiting on a call back from United so I can discuss the cancel of my flights. So sad but must be done and I hate making phone calls. My DH has to go to LIU so I am home alone. But had a busy morning - my son's IL coming over so he wanted out of the house so I asked him to go grocery shopping for me and he was so happy to do it. And he got everything I needed but then left without taking the money. I feel so bad. But I have milk again for cereal. Yea. Then had a nice long chat with my sister. She developed a really bad headache and aches and fever so yesterday she went for a Corona virus test. She should know in 1-5 days. So glad she could get the test! Chris your talk about carnival got me excited for that kind of food so made burgers last night. For a change added chili sauce to the ketchup and that was really good. Got more pages done and just have to upload. Will work on more today.

Chris I am so happy to see the sun! I woke up early as the sun was shining so it was brighter in the bedroom. I will get Luther out for a walk later in the afternoon. I am going to look for flyover but not too sure I will see anything. Enjoy outside!

Trudy you are lucky to have the grands and kids want to call. Sorry about the rain. After today's sun it will be rain for a few days but the weekend looks great! Hope you are as lucky!

Felis I love what is happening on the internet with so many people getting together remotely. Love music - it really does change one's mood. Love your sun photo.

Jean I have yet to see goldfinches! You are so lucky. Love the page!

Grateful for the sun.

We had a lovely sunny morning but that has faded now. It's also warmer.

Felis, DH wants to say: "Много благодаря" - hope Google Translate got it right. I enjoyed seeing/hearing it too.

Chris, I understand Cait's angst about the AI for her exam. And her desire to stick with it for As. Wishing them both well in this final stretch and with jobs. We have someone next door graduating (virtually) this weekend and trying to land a job and considering graduate school. Wish we could all go on a carnival ride with your family this weekend. (Not that I have gone on a ride in decades, mind you.)

Trudy, why does the rain seem worse when we're staying home? I know it does though. Hope you got a walk in and chats with the grands. Love the images of the trip to Tim Hortons!

Nancy, enjoy the sun while you have it! Give Luther a hug from us all too. Does Paneras deliver? Could you and your friend each get delivery and have a virtually together dinner? So much is happening online now, some of it pretty nice. I "attended" a meeting Sunday, have one Thursday evening and another Saturday morning. It helps to see and hear my friends.

Wishing us all sunny days
Grateful for the sun
the birds
you all
DH's smiles (and starting up the bird bath and dripper)

Good morning girls!
Lovely day, lovely!!! Probably is bad to be so happy in such a tough time?! But somehow today my own soap balloon was enough for me to isolate me from the world.
Trudy, thank you so much for sharing this lovely song! I'm listening it whole day, as some old stuff of Mr. Buble too. There is no Christmas without his songs to come along, but I'm fan of his other albums too. As usual happens when something is intended for me I saw it with a delay. But it doesn't matter, as I saw it in a perfect time: just before to go to the bed, so woke up with this song at my mind.
It was sunny and warm day, but then had about an 1 hr rain at the afternoon, and lots of muddy paws to deal with, as my kiddos was supposed to sunbathing outside at that time. The world after the rain was smelling wonderful! I'm afraid that there is no other than music, laundry and cleaning today, that can to write about, and it sounds boring from side view, but was lovely, just lovely day!

Jean, OMG, how sweet is this! Yep, Google Translate got it right! I have to share also lots of compliments for your pages, which again I saw later, sorry, looks like I wasn't much concentrated yesterday  ! The bird is so bright! And your Daffodil Hill was SO at the newsletter totally deserved! But my favorite are the violets! They are beautiful themselves, but with this peek up technique your page is turned awesome!

Nancy, oh, don't make me even start, my sister is like a thunderstorm after every new cancellation of her fly tickets. They had such a big plans to start new life this year, but she came home to see us for 2 weeks, just 2 weeks at the wrong moment and now she is locked here. Even after the government re-enable flights, the low cost companies will be probably in bankruptcy.
I hate making phone calls too! Oh, so cute from your son's side to shop for you! Hope everything with your sister will gonna be alright!

Trudy, thank you for the song, again! :sorry: that I saw the thread later! So nice to have your internet connection renewed so easily! Yes, definitely scrap these 'picnic' photos, sounds as a lovely memory!

Chris, "Two weeks and it will be over." sounds as a good mantra. I can imagine how tense is the atmosphere at your house now, especially with this weather! At least It's sounds as your projects doing well!

Kay and Rae, hope you are good! We miss you here!
