hello and a very good morning to y'all!

It feels like it should be at least Thursday or something, however heh.
What a difference a fight makes in clearing the air, it was much calmer around here and Gary gave me a hand in clearing out some of the junk on the patio. But already it is terrifying to me to see him outside around the leaves. Or even just on the lawn. He was sprayed with Off and *still* found several ticks on him. (I am itching all over just thinking about it, even though ticks don't make you itch). there are theories, not sure of actual studies or not, that some people have a pheromone that attracts ticks. It is anecdotal, but Gary has to be one of them. he can be outside for literally 5 minutes and find ticks on his clothes. (Scratch, scratch scratch).
While most people, like the CDC :)mad: ) will say that only deer ticks carry Lyme, all ticks do.

For the newer O-Fam, get ready for *lots* of Lyme Disease Awareness facts coming ahead. It is the season...

yesterday I worked more on these pine cone/zinnias. Cait thought that they would look better glued to stems and put in vases rather than in bowls so I spent an hour or so trimming off the ends of them to get ready for that. I hope that they do look better that way or I just ruined hours of work and a gazillion pine cones.:p

Today I am off to clean-work, then I have to some scrap CT work.

have a fab day!!!!

Today is National Kids and Pets Day! Created in 2005, this day is dedicated to celebrating the magical bond between kids and animals. It helps to bring awareness to the many animals in need of a loving home, as well as educates the public about safety between kids and pets.
Colleen Paige, a mother and pet lover, established this day to honor the strong connection that kids have with their beloved pets. Children who grow up with pets learn about compassion, responsibility, caregiving, and more.
This day also encourages pet adoption through local animal shelters – with an importance placed on safe interactions between kids and pets. On Colleen Paige’s website, you can find a useful list of safety tips and guidelines for families looking for the right pet.
Celebrate today by reminiscing about your favorite childhood pet, or bring your children to interact with animals at a local shelter. How did your pets impact your childhood?
My kids have a great time talking about memories of all of our pets. They also bond like mad over our dogs. After dinner last night,Scott and Caitlyn went outside to play with Jaida instead of running upstairs to text/surf etc. I could hear them laughing while I was washing up.

I think most of us, if not all have pets. Did you always have pets? I grew up in a household w/o pets and I was one of those kids who would ask for dogs/cats/hourses for b-days and Christmas.

Trace- I can never convert C to F* but it was chilly here too. My fingers are crossed that the weather changes for the field trip today.
I can't complain too much about our lawn, since a lot of its issues are b/c of the dogs. hah!
Oh yuck! Sorry to hear about the gallbladder test. I was IV Rocephin for a long time and it is notoriously rough on gallbladders and that was one of my concerns. Maybe he will give you time with dietary changes instead? *hopeful*
Is gallbladder surgery same day?

Nancy- ugh, men!!!! (Boys!!! That is what they all are, not matter what the number says). Bet you are counting the hours until you get a break! When do you leave?

Trudy- ooooh the cabinet sounds lovely!!!! Can't wait to see the finished project! I still need to post the pics of my table and chairs.
I hope that the bunny finds another garden or patch of grass to relax in.
Abstract painting now too? You amaze me with your talent!!!!

Rae- what a bummer for Bailey about PSE not working :( Is GIMP still a thing? Would that work for her? I have no idea what other things that she cloud use... So nice to see you two doing things together, and I hope that she is coming along with her Tx.
"Peed in the window" :pound: That is too funny!!!! BTW- my eyes do that wonky thing a lot too and sometimes the stuff that I think that I see... iy yi yi!!!

Better get Cait off to the bus stop. xoxoxo!

Just A quick post by before I go:

Chris, no the surgery will not be the same day. I have to be referred to a surgeon first and then we go from there. That may take a few weeks in itself.

It's FREEZING today!!! UGh...I put long johns on my girl..IN APRIL!! IN APRIL!!! This weather is brutal.

Rae, I read this in the other thread and I spit out my tea laughing so hard!!!

Trace - I was reading your post and my eyes were wonky so I read that your neighbor "peed in your window". WTH???? I just about spit my coffee out. I read it again and saw that....she peered in your window....ok, not nice but not as disgusting as peeing in it. .

LOLOLOL....if she had have been peeing in the window, I think I would have called the cops. hahahahhaa...she was a bit nutty, but not *THAT* nutty. I think she was just lonely.

Sorry, got to run, but I will be back later today to read and reply!!! Have a wonderful day everyone!

Yesterday was a bit of a sad day for me. One of those days where just driving on the Turnpike made me miss my mom cause we always used the Turnpike when we went to visit her.

Rae, since Chris brought up Gimp I have to give it a big shout out. It's the program I used for over 5 years. It is very much equal to PSE and at a price of $0 is a great deal. I only switched to Photoshop CS5 because I got a Mac and in 2012 Gimp did not work well (it's no longer an issue) and we got an incredible deal. But I can highly recommend Gimp. Here's the download link.

Morning ladies... The sun is out again today, but it is still much cooler than last week. I am off to swim this morning and then the In-Laws will pop around to pick up a batch of wine that DH and I bottled the other day. Yesterday was spent finishing off the cabinet and then I decided to paint a birdhouse that I have had sitting around here forever the same colours. Then I got inspired and got an old chair that used to be in the crawl space and I have been meaning to do something with that for years and I painted it the same colours too :becky: I was on a roll!! It looks so good, but now it needs a pretty painting to hang over it, so I am going to try to paint something today and then will have to look for a fancy frame to put it in. Wish I could get some of this inspiration in the winter, when I am stuck inside instead of in the spring when I should be out in the garden.

Chris - OMG about the ticks!! Your Gary must have something that they really love!! Yuck now I am feeling all itchy

Thanks for thinking that I have talent, but you haven't seen my abstract art yet LOL I haven't done this for years and I hope it actually turns out!!

Trace - Sorry to hear that you are having such cold temps, that probably means my DD will be as well. Hope it warms up for you soon! Good luck with your dr. appts.

Cindy - Aww sorry that you were having a sad day yesterday! My mother has been gone for many years now, but there are still some things that remind me of her daily!! Just remember that she will always be there with you in your heart!!

Rae - That was too funny about he peeing in the window

What a nice day you had with Bailey!! She is so lucky to have you in her life!! Have you tried to find a copy of PSE on used Vancouver or a similar site? Not sure if they sell those kind of things or not :noidea: Hope you have another great day and get to scrap some more today! I really need to catch up on things here and stop messing around with my old furniture LOL.

Hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday and get to do something that you love!!
