Happy Earth Day!! I started a thread this morning about it and hope to read some of the things everyone does to celebrate.
(Go check out the thread if you want to see a LO done in 2011 and see how much my style has changed LOL!)

Did everyone make it through their Monday OK?

I did and I got a lot done. My topic for the next field trip was vernal pools but it still hasn't rained much, so I am postponing that for now. I did a little research and Jehovah's Witnesses consider themselves stewards of the Earth so as long as I speak in broad terms, Sustainability and Biodiversity will be an appropriate lesson. I wasn't sure how they feel about Earth Day as a holiday/celebration, but I should be fine the way I wrote it. I think I have enough activities and games to keep them happy for 4 hours. It made sense to do it this way since I am working Sun-Mon-Tues and I can use the bones of the plan for each day.
I patted myself on the back for turning down a job invite for Thurs. It would have been easy, a 90-minute Brownie troop program, but it involved a short hike and it wasn't smart to risk it. Yes, I surprised myself when I said No. :giggle4:

I also scrapped. Three pages!! Two were pre-releases and one I'll get into the Gallery this morning. Yay me!
Plans for today-- I have to pick up groceries and prescriptions this morning, and then I think the day is pretty free. I also have to move my Week 4 AJ challenge. I'd better do that before Tracy wakes up and :rollingpin1: me.

Hugs to you all!

We will be busy getting ready for the patio install today with power washing the back deck railings.
I am so excited to see the before and after pics.
Poor Hunter, I hope he made it home ok and no one else gets sick.
The birds have been an awesome distraction. Yesterday I saw a chipping sparrow. I could tell he was "sparrow shaped" but when I looked through the binoculars, the coloring, esp on his head, was very different. I used Merlin's ID guide and it came up as a chipping sparrow. I also spent time watching one of the goldfinches pulling out his feathers. He is a mess!

@BrightEyes hehe, here I am, so proud I scrapped three pages yesterday. Meanwhile, you are :runningdog: :multitasking: through every CP kit! LOL!
Your anniversary pages sound very special ♥
Hope that your back is 100% better!

Sixteen years ago today this little man grabbed hold of my finger and our hearts became one and they've beat as one ever since- This is the first birthday I won't be able to spend with him, but any time I do see him is a celebration. He took and passed his driver's license test this morning, big rite of passage. I sent him this picture on his 13th birthday and his reply was, "Woof, Nana, what was up with that hair?" Well, at the time it seemed like a good idea.
What a wonderful photo!!
My mom still gets annoyed if she can't see me or my brother on our actual birthdays. I don't want to think about the agita she gets when she can't see her grandkids. Congrats on the DL. Man, I am glad that I won't have to live through that again with grands. The first time your kid drives solo... :thud: Grandkid-- :thud: :thud::thud:

FYI - the female red bellies only have red on the back of their "neck" whereas the males' red goes all the way up and over the head.
I might have to give in and buy one of those camera feeders.
I was right with my assumption, the bird was male. Gorgeous red head and neck. Thanks!!
My regular feeder is a Birdfy brand, and the app is much better than the hummingbird one. That one is BirdKiss and to get video, you have to subscribe. The Birdfy one takes 21-second videos w/o a subscription. So if you do get a feeder, check out the app features too.

It's ONLY 12:30????? I feel like I've been up FOREVER!
:floorlaugh:

I know that feeling!!

Wishing everyone a phenomenal day!

No special celebration of Earth Day here. I try to be mindful of the earth in everything I do. I never throw my trash down, for sure! Unlike most ingrates! We are always having to pick up trash out of the yard where someone has thrown it out their car window!

Thanks for the bird feeder camera info. I will check it out.
I was awake again at 5 today, but I was able to go back to sleep after potty and Tylenol! After the busy day yesterday and the pickup sticks party, I didn't actually get up until 8:30, even though I wasn't sleeping that whole time after the 5 wakeup. I'm having to heat treat my back this morning after yesterday's party, LOL!

Good Morning,
Seems like I was just in here!
After my busy day yesterday.....nada is planned for today except lunch with Mark and pick up a few groceries while out. After my pickup sticks party yesterday my legs and back are stiff today so I am heat treating my back as we speak.
Woke up at 5 again with the stupid headache! Tis the season, I guess! At least it has been going away after I am finally up.
I think I will work on my ATCs and some CP layouts today. I haven't done much scrapping this past week with my decluttering expo.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning, all. Been busy this morning uploading Our Anniversary LO and Leslie & Max's Wedding LO in the gallery and around digi-land. Had to get them posted today as some of my previews of Color Play LOs will use up the 5 LOs daily limit late Wed and on Thurs.

I just realized today that tomorrow would be our 70th anniversary if Bill had lived! :cloud9: We had 62 1/2 years together... I stopped counting the anniversary years once he was gone.
Yes, Chris... I have been busy with the Color Play LOs.... so many delightful ones that I couldn't resist!!
The back is some better this morning. Temps from the mid-to-high 70's and sunny the rest of the week... so that should help.
Son-in-law#1 stopped by yesterday for a short visit and to pick up a couple of books I had bought for DD#1. It was good to see him even if it was just a short visit. DD#3 and her family are over the tummy bug finally. She is going to come down for a visit soon.
Need to get my shower and dressed soon as I have several errands to run today.

Good Morning everyone, just popping in quickly as I am not sure just what time the workers will arrive to start the deck replacement. I need to take some before pictures and then will take the afters when they are all done. I am so looking forward to having this completed! I am a bit stiff today as it was another day spent outside bending over and cleaning up the garden to get them ready for some fresh mulch. I also spent about an hour sitting on my garden cushion pulling weeds out of the gravel around our shed. Ugh I hate that job! Finally my DH is going to do an edging where the lawn ends and the gravel starts, I have been pestering him about it for around 6 years now :rollingpin1:he finally has time to do it now! So we hope that the weather continues to be nice so we can work more outside! Anyway I better get dressed and get those photos taken before the deck guys arrive! Have a great day everyone!!:waving1

Good Morning Everyone!

I also have to move my Week 4 AJ challenge. I'd better do that before Tracy wakes up and :rollingpin1: me.
Yep you do! I have been stalking the thread all day every day for MONTHS :floorlaugh: Was there at least 10 times yesterday waiting to see what shows up. So far nothing but now I will have to go look and see!! I blame you all. You got me addicted to this AJ stuff and man oh man its addicting.

Not much happening but rain rain rain. Went to dentist yesterday for a filling replacement. Need to go back as the bite isn't the same and I feel like I cant chew properly. Cant close my teeth LOL So my jaw aches from holding it slightly apart. Other than that, today is a slow day. Need to rest up before we start the crazy of tomorrows last dinner at church. Pizza night so its always crazy busy!

Need to do my study, get coffee and see if Chris posted the AJ or just teased me about it. :heartpumppink:

Your anniversary numbers are the same as my years of age! So you were married the same year I was born...1955, correct?
