Guess what kind of weather we are having today?? Cold and rain! wheeeee! Trudy, make up a spare bed for me, I might as well move in with you. If you adopt me, can I get onto Canada's health care? :rofl:

Not much going on here, just going to MIL's to work. I have to fill up my gas tank on the way down, ugh. Last week I heard on the news that the price of crude dropped a lot. So I figured that i would wait until the prices came down a bit, then fill up. Guess what happened instead? Yup- spot on- prices at the pump went up even more. :( How crazy is that?

I know NJ is not as bad as some other places, but its up to $3.70 for regular around here.

Anyway- what are you all up to for today?

Trudy- being non-religious, I don't have any end of the world type beliefs. However, i agree that Mother nature is getting peeved at us. I bet She is getting ready to shake us all off like fleas and start fresh. Is there any area that isn't having crazy/wild weather?
Hope that YMG had a yummy dinner ready for you!

Katrina- that is a tough one. I agree w/ you on the Hotel room. Since she is going to be 21, how about a set of some cute cocktail glasses and a Cosmo recipe book?

Oh- just saw your next post- a GC to IKEA or Target would be appreciated if it were me :)

Clara- that must be so hard to have to wait to help. Can you imagine how hard it must be for so many people injapan who can't even get close to their homes b/c of the reactor?

morning ladies.Well our septic guy didn't show up till 4. He said he was busy pumping someone's septic. For 4 hours? So he has to come back to take care of ours cause it will take a few hours. But of course today and tomorrow it's raining. And then supposed to rain all weekend. He can't dig if there is mud. So it looks like we will be having sewage flowing over our driveway for the next week or so. Uggh!

But I was productive yesterday. I got 2 Easter hats made, my youngest's mini top hat made, and a cute barrette for my dd made.

My youngest came down with a very bad headache last night. It came on suddenly. It was so bad he threw up. He still has it today, so I am very worried. Is it normal for an 8 yr old to have migranes? Both my mother and MIL have migranes. I'm wondering if I should go have a ct done? DH says if you have the worst headache of your life, go in and get your head scanned. I think this just might be one of those cases.

Sorry to hear everyone is having so much rain. But look on the bright side. Just head outside and see all those beautiful flowers that are popping up because of it. And the tiny baby leaves on all the trees! Everything is finally turning green again!!!

Clara: That's tough having to wait. I wish I could come down and help. I am as surprised as you that they haven't sent any soldiers out to help the civilians. Very odd. And don't worry about not bringing the camera. You were more focused on just going out to do whatever help you could. That is the important thing.
 
Morning all... I just have to jump in here and say to Katrina... does your son complain of a sore neck??? If so get him to the hospital right away, don't mess around, he could have meningitis!!! They will do a lumbar puncture, a little painful, but worth it to find out for sure. I waited to get my daughter properly diagnosed and she ended up in the hospital for almost three months. Her encephilits was viral and it could not have had a different outcome than it did, but if your son has cold/flu like symptoms and has a really bad headache with sore neck, then it could be meninigitis and it can be devestating if not caught in time. I don't mean to scare you but you don't want to mess around with your son's health!! My daughter did not even complain about a sore neck and that is one of the biggest symptoms, guess her headache was just hurting too much to notice but she ended up being such a sick girl!!! Please don't wait!! Sorry but this just scares me:frown:.

Working today...darn now I am all teary eyed. :focus:.
Chris you can come and stay with me for as long as you want, I will lend you my care card for the health care. If you stay and become a dual citizen then you can get your own Care Card. I will adopt you and we can garden and go for long walks together LOL. But I have to warn you that it get very rainy here too!!!

No you didn't scare me. Actually his headache has gone away. He was grounded to his room yesterday and was very mad all night and bumped his head on his bed. I think that's what caused the migrane. If it comes back I will def get him checked out. He has an issue of getting over emotional (mad more than anything).
 
i dont believe in "end of world" stuff either....its just the course of nature...its happened for millions of years and will continue to happen..its how the earth evolves..

ugh today was horrible...was sick all day :( im glad i had the day to myself though since helena is now in preschool....today was her day to go...so i couldn't have picked a better day to get sick i suppose....

Thank you for posting- this layout is so dear to my heart- the little one is a friends daughter who is a square peg in the educational systems round holes! We had been discussing her mothers how best to proceed dilemma and this layout just happened! Well tonight as we go to bed, we have tornado watches in the counties surrounding mine- praying for just storms tonight.

Quick checkin for me - we're home now and jeff's in the bathroom getting sick. He claims it's food poisoning but I think he over ate greasy stuff.

We had an amazing time, pictures and details as soon as I get things back in order!!
