I need some sleep! Or :cof2:
Most likely I will be doing the latter, not the former.

What a long few days for me. Saturday was the party, on Sunday Cait and I stayed at my ILs and then yesterday was the hearing for Cait's testimony.
Party was nice. IL's was nice. Cait and I headed down for dinner and my niece met up with us. She is going to be 18 next week. Times flies! She and Caitlyn are very close even if they don't get to see each other often. It is one of the great things about social media. Juliet has 3 rats that she brought to dinner too. After meeting Caitlyn's rats, she really loved them. She works at a wildlife rescue and one of the animals needed to be fed a rat but she took it home and ended up keeping it. (Campbells. We are all the same! LOL) Then she got two more after hearing Cait's advice on needing more than one rat since they are social. I enjoyed watching the two girls laugh and talk rat-parenting.
We had to be in Newark at 9 am yesterday. Nancy- would you say that Newark is the largest city in New Jersey?
Trenton (our state capital) might be bigger but I think Newark is larger. It should have taken a half hour to get there in "normal" traffic. No such thing as normal traffic in NJ and when you add in torrential rain and flooding, it took us over an hour to get there. We lucked out since we got there before almost everyone else. A car accident happened in the right lane of the highway literally as we were passing in the middle lane. Anyone behind us was in trouble. I am so happy that my ILs took us in. I would have had a heart attack if I had to drive in that. I am not used to city driving or large highway driving anymore.

There were 4 people testifying before Cait and I was getting worried that they weren't going to get to her at all, especially since even the judge was an hour late. But they were able to finish with her testimony and she doesn't have to go back!!! Whew!!!!!!!! Her subpoena was for Monday and Friday but they are all done with Caitlyn so that was it. Thank goodness!

We didn't get back here until 5 pm and Gary picked up a pizza for dinner. But dammit-- he insists on giving the dogs pizza crust. R and J are fine eating small amounts of people food but that gives W diarrhea. I tell him alk of the time that she has a sensitive stomach. :rollpin: She started whining at 3 am to go outside and I have been awake ever since. I fee lbad for W, you can tell that she has to *go* but I really didn't want to go outside at 3 am. I thought that maybe I would see if there were any money-off deals through the Shop from Home so I could food shop in my pajamas, but there weren't any. So now I need to go food shopping and maybe take Cait to the eye Dr if Gary can't. That is at 3.30 so I can't even come home and take a nap. *grumble grumble*

So yup. I think it will be all:cof2: day long!

Hi, Trudy! Sorry to hear that you had more and more rain. We would like to say "No more of any type of wet stuff" for a while too:)
That is wonderful that you had such a nice birthday weekend. You deserve to get spoiled! Love that you had your tea leaf reading and that you got good news about your upcoming trip. You must be getting very excited!

Felis- Shar is a scrapping genius! That LO and journaling are very touching. Definitely deserved a Standing O!
Thanks for thinking of me! Sorry that I didn't get a chance to pop in at all. I was hoping that there would be wi-fi in the Law Building but there wasn't. Made for a long day of doing nothing.

Jean- I can relate to the all of the rain and flooding. Our basement is flooded again but no wonder for that. When I got home I saw on the local news how many roads were closed and water rescues in the city that we were were in all day. Very happy that your basement stayed dry. How nice that you got to see Quilliam :)

If I can, I am going to go back to Sunday's thread but I am not sure if I will have enough time before I need to get ready to go shopping. (ugh!! Don't make me go!! who needs food anyway??? :drama: )

xoxo

Morning ladies... The sky is blue this morning, but you watch it will be rainy again for tomorrow and my hike day. Today I will hit the pool and try out my new goggles that I got for my birthday, they are a different style and cover more of my face, they don't put that pressure on the underneath of your eye. My skin is much thinner there then it used to be and it always would leave horrible marks under my eyes, so hopefully these new ones will be much better. Other than that I plan on painting this afternoon. I got my new paints delivered yesterday and I got started on my painting late in the afternoon, of course I was just really getting into it when DH got home and then I had to put everything away so that we could have supper and watch the hockey game. :mmph: The Bruins lost to the Maple Leafs last night, sure hope that they play much better for the next game! Officiating was horrible as usual when they play at the Maple Leafs rink. I won't go on about it as I will just get all upset again LOL. :tape:

Chris - I started yesterday's thread thinking that you and Cait were at the eye Dr. How could I forget that Cait had to testify against that boy? Yikes about the accident on the way!! I would have freaked out seeing that! I am not much for Big City driving and multi-laned highways are not my fav either! I keep telling myself that I have to keep doing that kind of thing though or I won't be going anywhere on my own when I am older. Sorry that you have been awake since 3am!! Ugh!! Your bad Gary should know better then to feed W people food! I am afraid I would have made him get up and deal with it!! :gaah: I know I am mean! Hope you can get enough coffee to keep you awake today and that your shopping trip is quick and easy!

Felis - LOL yes that Sharron is a scrapping machine!! I love her pages and her journaling is always so great! That page you mentioned was a very well deserved StandingO for sure! The tea leaf reading was fun, although we did not have the woman that usually does our readings. This one was ok, but the other is really, really good and she sometimes shocks us with what she knows! Always lots of fun and we take it all with a grain of salt, however a lot of what we have been told over the years has come to light! I hope that the rain has eased up where you are and that you enjoyed a fun day!

Jean - Thank you for posting the link about your ring, it is very beautiful! Such a romantic gift for sure! The layout you did is just lovely too! Hope that the rain has stopped falling for you today also, that is too bad to hear about all of the flooding! We were disappointed that our Bruins did not keep up their winning play against the leafs, but oh well I guess we should not expect to win every game!

:hello: Nancy and Rae, I hope you are both having a good morning!

Off to pack my swimming bag and get out and get some excercise, I have been sitting around for far too long and need to get active again. Have a wonderful day ladies!!

Today we're back to snow! Only a little, but WTH? Actually it finally looks like it's almost gone but I made sure to take a few pictures. Just regular stuff to do today.

Chris, Cait must be so relieved to have the court stuff over and had fun with her cousin and her rats. As I read I was trying to imagine you doing that drive into Newark and was so glad to read on and learn you didn't have to drive it. I imagine you'll never nap today even though you need it. I'm with Trudy on wishing you could make DH deal with W in the night.

Trudy, wish the Bruins had won, but they're still up 2-1, so not to worry. I overhead someone last night predicting they'll win more than just this series. Hope so. Hope the pool and new goggles are good today and that you aren't interrupted while painting. Thanks so much for liking my ring and LO!

Nancy, bet you had a good time with the Devils winning last night!

Hi to Felis and Rae.

Hello girls,
I'm happy today, because dad is found on deal one very pretty simple iron arch for my rose. I needed it, but before found only expensive models, so it's a really lucky! When the rose start bloom I'll make page about it. This morning I tried to scrap another garden page, but couldn't receive satisfied results, so I'm not sure do will continue this page or will start it on clear. It's a rainy whole day, but not seriously, just drizzle. Nothing worried, as at some of you.

And Jean, oh, more snow, sounds less and less fun. I'm not sure why, maybe because of my location or is something with the connection, but Quilliam's cam often doesn't load for me. It's better at the new site than was at YouTube, but still many trouble days.

Trudy, do the new goggles are good? I hope the pool is not much busy and you can have good time! Oh, I can imagine how the new paints delivered bring fresh excitement, and at least rain gives you more time for paint!

Chris, as Trudy I also forget that Cait had to testify yesterday. Good that everything finished and she finally can relaxing! I cannot blame Gary that is forgot about the Whiskey have sensitive stomach, how can suppose this for dog which put everything in its mouth?! Hope he will can at least to go with Cait to the eye apps, although I know you wouldn't take a nap even if you have time for that, but I can't understand why?! Do not overload yourself so much, dear! I guess this is from perfectionism?!

I guess Nancy have fun with the hockey, or I hope so!

Rae, :hello:

Have a lovely day, girls! :cof1:
