seriously halfway though April? I guess that is good, closer to summer, but why is the weather still so cold here? I had such a great mental lift last week with the weather and now I am back being all blech-y. Wah!
Same old, same old here for me. Work, babysitting, you know how it goes. Kind of tired of it, but what can you do?
I posted this an another site so I am just copying here, sorry if you have read this elsewhere
I did get some good news yesterday. On may 10, I am going into NYC for a World Wide Lyme Disease Protest. I had wanted to go but I had no way to get there. I do NOT drive in NYC!!! But a fellow Lymie from my area is speaking there and offered to carpool. Scott and I did a couple of round table discussions for her last year, talking about how lyme affects us. She is working to get a Lyme-Literate group of practitioners, esp in the mental health field to better understand our particular issues. She is just a fantastic person and I am thrilled to go with her. Both kids are interested ingoing too, and she wanted Scott to speak but he is not comfortable speaking in front of hundreds of people. Can't say I blame him! But to even be there will be an awesome experience. Just like most other illnesses, only Lymies really understand the hell that we go though and it is so reassuring to meet others like us so that we are not alone. And to fight. Why do we have to fight to raise awareness? Isn't that messed up that we are not even recognized as ill by most doctors???
I could tell you horror stories of what I have gone through, especially with my kids, but that would be a book
.................
And yes, many of you have heard some of those stories before so I won't bore you with them again. hehe!!!
The other good news (how sad is it that this is what considers good news in my day??? ound: ) I did 30 sit ups and walked 1 mile. Its a start. I don;t know if I can commit to walking 1 mile a day,but I am promising myself -- and all of you-- that I *will* do sit-ups!
A few years ago, I would read about women getting plastic surgery and I said, No way would I EVER do that, I am going to grow old and relish it! Embrace it!!
Now that I am getting older-- I am freaking out and fighting tooth and nail. hahaha!!!!
I need to find some happy medium......
Well, that is about it, no tip that I can think of for today.
I am looking for tips though-- any tips on how to use Instagram would be nice.
xoxoxoxo
