I am most definitely starting with some breathing today. Yesterday was a disaster.

Let's do a visualization again. When you close your eyes, imagine you are somewhere that makes you feel peaceful and grounded. Feel your feet against the earth, the warm breeze on your face. What sounds do you hear? Birds chirping, wind chimes tinkling, or waves crashing? breathe in and out and smell the fresh air. Is it a forest with pine, a meadow of flowers, or the salty air?
Breathe a few more times, relaxing your body more each time.
When you are ready, come back to your chair and open your eyes. Keep that feeling with you as you go through your day.

Y'all know I was down the shore again, right? :D

Yesterday was not a good day in the Faery Brain. The weather was bad, my ankle hurt, Ravyn scared the crap out of me.
I finished the card I was making and I hope that the family will write little notes to make it more personal. I spent so much time trying to find a quite that was cheery and inspirational. Which was ridiculous. Arlene's mom is a Holocaust survivor and *I* am going to inspire her while she is in lockdown at a care facility? Yeah, no... I ended up writing "Thinking of You."

Today I am going to try and not panic about groceries again. We have been totally unsuccessful in getting a shop from home spot. Amazon Pantry and Walgreen's are out of stock of most items and none of the fresh foods are available for delivery. Postmates/Instacart- no luck. BJs does pick up but only for a very select number of items- mostly what I have in the house. Food pantries are closing. I am fine for now but in another week, I will be out of everything fresh.
It is what it is and I know it will be fine but yikes, the lack of control is not easy for me.

I have some housework to do, too. I want to clean out the fridge and freezer to get a better idea of what I have, make a meal plan if I can. I will also try and not yell at the images on the computer of all the food being wasted on farms. Eggs, milk, produce- all being dumped because it is cheaper to do that than ship it. Restaurant demand is down so there aren't buyers at that level and it would cost more, and most likely be a logistical nightmare to convert it to ship to food banks. But at the same time, it is hard to see. And I *have* food so I can't imagine what it is like to have little or none. :(

Soooooo gratitudes!!! I need them today!
-grateful that I have food and if we eat cereal every night for dinner, so but it.
-my family and our game nights. we played Sacattergories last night and they were not amused that I wrote "obnoxious kids" for Letter O and Things in the Room :smokin:
-that Ray is able to get around much better today
-I am seeing a little more green in the woods- leaves are coming!
-we didn't lose power or have too many branches come down in the wind yesterday

It is Trudy's birthday today!

Kay- blech!!!! I can't believe it snowed by you. Yuck!! I am glad that you are able to stay in touch with your kids, they all sound wonderful. I hope that they are all doing well

Trudy- sorry to hear that it is still so chilly by you. Yesterday was the warmest it had been in a long time but you couldn't be outside b/c of the buckets of rain.
How nice to be able to sit in the driveway and get some sun.
Nice that your brother was able to visit a bit!
It is frustrating that some people don't seem to get the idea that the more we stay inside *now* the faster we can figure out who had it and maybe slowly open up some areas. (At least you don't have DT to contend with  )
Nancy can tell you too, New Jersey is in really bad shape, right after NY, and I don't foresee us opening up any time soon. :(
Be safe!
I feel awful that I talk/brag about my family so much, I can't imagine how hard it would be to have them far away. But you know how much they love you!

Felis- oh no, Felis! That is crazy that the Church disregarded so many rules. And what a disaster with the "protesters" and police. It makes my heart hurt that some people are going to be selfish and make it harder for the rest of us. Scott got into a Facebook tiff with someone who was basically saying staying inside is stupid and that he was going out. Scott told him-- "Hey, my family is all high risk, and you are making it harder for people like us." Some people don't seem to care.
I hope that at some point it will be safe to hug again.
hahaha! Thanks for telling me I am not lazy. I know deep down that I am not, it is hard to not feel motivated in this endless blur of days. You know what I mean? Of course you all do!

Kay- yuck yuck yuck!! I can't believe the evil white stuff stuck. Is it still there. :behindsofa:

Twilight Zone for sure-- we have been tracking the "plagues" at dinner, Locust, Fires, Krakatoa the other day, snow in NM is another sign.... 2020 needs to get its s*** together!

Good afternoon girls!
What a lovely morning I had! Lots of goodies here at the O! It was so exciting and fun, I love to play!
After Chris wrote this about being naturally lazy and unmotivated, I got a little bit ashamed too. It's strange that when I was working, it was pleasure for me to stole some time for the garden, but now I have plenty of free time, but no wish for gardening. Mostly my mom prepared the garden this year. I'm not sure how to explain this. Just have no motivation, even to care for my own roses. I'm not start to planting vegetables yet, even I have some seeds pack from the previous year. And , yeah... I don't know...I'm confused. I'm spend most of my time outside playing with cats. Really I was planned to weeds today, but the weather got cloudy and windy, and now I'm inside.

Chris, Oh, no where this with the food is going! Our prime minister now is trying to buy as much as is possible fresh food from the farmers that have canceled ship of it, so to save them from bankruptcy and they will use this at social care houses. But farmers told it's very under priced and also threaten to dump lots of products. This is no sense! Future looks like so unstable and will be very expensive!
I know, and all of us that have family and friends in other countries really cares what happens. But people who are only local feels angry to government for losing their jobs, and they are ready to argue and offended these of us who follow the rules. It's really unpleasant to meet some of the 'others', but when you meet someone sharing your viewpoint we wave, and probably smile under the masks. I'm download one pic of my favorite singer, who is wearing mask, if he who is rockstar and constantly broke the rules, thinks it's worth to follow this one, I don't care what people around me said!

Kay, hope the cold weather to not damage the trees! This will affect also the humans health with sure! So cool to be able to find camera on time for your family Zoom chat!

Trudy, happy birth day! :bday I'm not sure what wish will be appropriate for the situation?! But I hope that you'll have one wonderful year, somehow!

Gratitudes:
:biggrin1: the generosity of all designers at O!
:biggrin1: we are safe, have food and roof!
:biggrin1: all the trees are in bloom now!
:biggrin1: music and pets always!

Morning O-zies!! Yes it is my Birthday today, I am now 64 years old Ugh!! Maybe that is why I was in such a melancholy mood yesterday?? I had a very nice surprise in the afternoon, my sisters came in separate vehicles and surprised me with a big Birthday Banner and gifts and we had a nice little visit from far away :)mmph:). They threw me virtual hugs and kisses, I miss being able to have our visits, but this was the next best thing! They did not stay too long, but after they left the kids in the neighbourhood were out and drew Happy Birthday to me with their sidewalk chalk LOL. It was so cute, i took a few pictures so will get one posted here so you can all see. I am blessed and I am so thankful to have these special people in my lives!! I am blessed to have my O family wishing me Happy Birthday too!! Thank you all so very much!! It will be a strange birthday for sure, no going out to celebrate, but that is ok. I will be spending the evening with my favourite guy and face timing with the kids it will be a Birthday for the record books for sure!

Chris - I am sorry that your weather has been so yucky!! please don't feel bad about talking about your kids/family, I did not mean to make you feel bad about it! I love hearing about your great kids and all the fun that you have together!! Yesterday was a very unusually bad mood day for me, so I apologize for making you feel guilty in anyway! Thank you for my Birthday Greeting!! It is so nice to have all of you here to brighten my day!! Sure hope you can get a spot for grocery pick up soon, we all start to panic a bit when we are getting low on fresh produce! Things do sound very bad in NJ now and you are right at least we don't have to deal with DT, but our Prime Minister is a bit too soft I think and not dealing with the people that are not abiding by the rules!! We love our provincial health officer, Dr. Bonnie Henry, she is very calming and says things the way they are but in such a soft spoken manner. I will send you some of our sunshine, we had to get the sprinklers working yesterday, because it is already getting very dry here and the grass needed some water, it could be a long dry summer again this year. So afraid what would happen if fires broke out right now!! Another long weekend coming up in May and hopefully everyone from the mainland will not be allowed over to the Island, we are not equipped to handle COVID19 on the small little Islands that surround us where they all love to hang out or have summer places.

Felis - That is sad that the church feels the need to stay open and risk the lives of so many!! That is hard to believe that your govt. is trying to re-start your economy, we will not be there for quite some time I am afraid! I hope that you are able to get out in sunshine and not be bothered by all those who are out on the sidewalk!

Kay - Ugh!! Winter has returned to your area, that is horrible! How nice that you can Zoom with your family, yes remember to brush your hair and make sure you have some clothes on LOL!!

Sending everyone lots of love and hugs today! May your day be filled with calming thoughts and lot of creativity! Have a wonderful day!

Brrrr.... cold start this morning. Down below freezing outside. Snow melted as it fell yesterday afternoon and into the evening. The sun is peeking out some and the wind is calmer now. Suppose to be back into the 50's-60's by tomorrow, thank goodness. I need to dig into the freezer and get something thawed out for dinner tonight.

Chris, so sorry that you are having a rough day yesterday... hope today is better. <<< hugs >>> I am glad you have your family with you or close by. Yes, it is hard to see them but not be able to get close and give them a hug.

Trudy... Happy Birthday..... Glad you got to be out in the sunshine for awhile yesterday. Bet that boosted your spirits a lot.

I am being smart and avoiding most of the news... just catch local to see what is going on nearby and the weather. That helps keep the stress levels down as I can't do anything about what is happening 'out there'. Been digging into some bags of books and finding ones I haven't read. Had caught the local library's "Bag of Books" sale [for $5 per bag full] a couple of months ago - so picked up some authors/books I normally wouldn't have. Don't think I will run out of books to read!!! LOL..:-o

Off to get my shower and get dressed. Wishing you all a stress-free day and week.

Just wanted to pop in and say happy birthday to Trudy. Busy workday ahead so am off to get started at that. I'm so grateful to still be working so not complaints from me for overloading me today :)

Chris - groceries here are somewhat better now but no online or pickup available and still out of TP, sanitizer, cleaners, etc.

I'm grateful for the sun shining today. The afternoon walk with Taz is so good for clearing my head and feeling peaceful.

Stay healthy everyone. BFN

Felis and Trudy... looks like we crossed - posted.

Trudy... LOL... yes, I will be sure to have some clothes on when the family does the Zoom chat!!! Timing is going to be the hard thing as most of the kids are working from home and have members who live in different time zones... eastern, central, mountain and pacific. Yep... we are spread from coast to coast! Glad you got to visit - at a distance - with some family on your birthday.

Oh, Felis... so sorry that some churches [there and here] are risking people's lives by insisting on gathering together in one place and that is spreading the virus. Yes, it is tragic that farmers are dumping fresh food... I hope that they can get that sorted out for shipping it where it is needed.

Did I forget to post yesterday? Can't remember. Anyway, things going along about the same here. Anniversary was at home, good dinner, but no going out.
Have to go now as DH is off the desktop computer that I need to get on.

Wishing everyone a better day and repeat Chris's breathing visualization (I wound up in the Oklahoma prairie.)

good afternoon - wow yesterday was a trying day. I got up at 3am to pee and as I was getting back into bed the flashing lights went by and we had no power. I have been through this before so I got on the app and reported the outage. They kept having updates, 1st 6:15am, 8:15am and then finally back on at around 10:30am. I had books to read but I missed being on line. The wind here was gusting to over 60 miles/hr. The rain was almost 2 inches by the time it ended in late afternoon. After dinner Luther and I got out for a quick walk and OMgosh what a gorgeous sunset. The poor boy had been cooped up for so long it was almost a sprint. Felt good to be out the wind was finally dying down. This morning had a great talk with my sister. She is working from home and it is the same sort of. My son is having to go in physically this week and he came home so tired. Felt really sorry for him to have to go work work but it is only fair as the others have done their time. He says yesterday was the pits commuting especially with the weather. Everything is in bloom and the leaves are really coming out on the trees and bushes. Yet the weather man said we may see some snowflakes tomorrow. Kay I guess these are from you!

Chris so sorry that yesterday was so bad. Hope today is better. My favorite TV show is back on SongLand. They found a song for Lady Antebellum and it is perfect for them. I sure hope R is ok. Luther is limping again. I think we just have to bite the bullet and keep him in for a few days. He was not limping last night but my DH took him on a really long walk. It seems to be hard on pets with us all home and bored. Love that you all play games! Great that parents came and love your making the card.

Trudy Happy Birthday! That is so sweet that the sisters came and love the photo of the chalk art birthday wishes. That is sorry you weather is cool and glad you got sun!

Rae hope you have that grandchild soon! Good luck to mom. Have fun on walk with Taz.

Kay I cant believe you got that much snow! We are to get cold enough for snowflakes and I don't think it is funny. Awesome that you had phone calls from the sons. And I guessed you would have bags of books to select from. Enjoy and feel better.

Jean congrats on the wedding anniversary! WOW! I am impressed! Glad you had a nice dinner even if you could not go out.

Felis it is hard to keep people apart. In NJ we have our parks closed too as people could not figure out had to stay apart. People are so mad that the beaches and boardwalks are closed now that spring and summer are approaching and they cannot be used. I was mad too but I like you understand the need to stay apart. This virus is so contagious.

Grateful to all of you
Grateful for blue skies
