CHEERY O
I am back! We had a really nice time up with my parents. it was quiet, our biggest activity was a trip to Walmart. I was able to get the rest of the things that i needed for the table project. Brendan had to get more Lactaid since just about everything my mom cooked had dairy in it ;)

I started crocheting an infinity scarf, something to keep my hands busy but ripped it all out when I got home. The yarn was way too scratchy to put near my face. The dogs did great too. Jaida was *loving* all of the news smells and places in the house to run. It is a small houses but she loved running up and down the stairs and looking off of the loft. Oh, and the glass siding doors, I had to joke that if we ever move/renovate, we have to get glass doors like that for her. Ray tried to run off after some deer too.

i couldn't believe the snow we got too! It started flurrying about halfway there, but by the time we got to my moms, it was sticking to the grass and trees. In April! It was freezing cold the entire time so we had the fireplace going too.

I hope that everyone has a nice weekend and Monday!

Thanks for starting the thread yesterday!
My PICC line came out last week :humble: but would you believe that I am having phantom line feeling???? It is the oddest sensation! but showering-- I sigh with happiness every time! Glad that you got some scrap time in!

Rae- sounds like your time with Beckham was busy. warm weather? What is that you speak of? Actually, it is supposed to get warm here by the end of the week but who knows how long that will last?
6 weeks of vacation??? That is amazing? My brother has been with his company (Verizon Wireless, Legal Dept) since it was Bell Atlantic -- 20+ years and I think he gets 3 weeks, plus 1 week of sick. How is it when your hubby is home? Hope he doesn't get underfoot LOL
Good for you for making those salads! My health insurance company started to offer 6 months of WW for free- and again, I am so tempted... must resist...

Hi jean!

Trudy- when is your birthday, I didn't miss it did I????
Hope that you got your internet issues all worked out, it really stinks when that happens. ugh...
How was your lunch? Hope that it was yummy and pretty and that you were able to get lots of photos!

Better get going, I want to start this table project since I have a bit of time this week.

xoxoxo!!!

There you are!! Welcome back -- yeah, that snow was something, wasn't it?! April and "flurries" were a wet slushy mess, at least in my neck of the woods.

Just a quick "hey!" to everyone today as I have a lot on my plate and I just heard from my associate that she will be out today (sick child) ... so that means more for me to take care of today.

I'll stop by during lunch to see what everyone's up to. Laters!

:bolt:

Morning ladies... I am up before 5am :mmph: just got tired of tossing and turning! Today my DH is putting on his Red Serge (hope it still fits) and attending a huge regimental funeral service for a female RCMP member who was killed here on the Island. Her vehicle was struck by young man in a truck that she was attempting to stop. He was speeding doing 110 km/hr in a 40 km/hr zone. What makes this even sadder was that she had just returned to work from Maternity leave. She leaves behind her husband and two very small children. Its just Heart Breaking!!

DH knew her and worked with her for a short time while he was on the major crimes unit here.

Chris - So happy that you had a lovely visit with your parents!! Poor Brendan being Lactose Intolerant must be awful!! I love Dairy products and would be devastated if I could not have them LOL. Hope that the snow is gone now and that your temps warm up, its spring darn it, where is your nice weather?? Con't worry you did not miss my birthday, it's not until Thursday :becky: But thanks for thinking of me!!

Kat - Hope that your work load is not too large today!! Are you finally feeling better now? It would be nice if you guys could get some warmer spring like weather!! DD has had snow where she is also. Our temps are colder now too but I doubt we will anything more than rain now for the next few days. We enjoyed summer like temps for about a week and now back to reality and cooler spring weather!

Rae - Hope your work is not too piled up today either, those salads sound like such a great idea!! Perhaps more mess when you are preparing them, but oh so convenient for you for the rest of the week!! What a creative cook you are!! Are you still dog sitting today? Enjoy your walking today, but you might have to bundle up a bit warmer for it!

Yesterday's lunch was so nice, Merridale Cider works is a pretty great place, tucked away in the boonies surrounded by apple trees of course :becky: the trees were just starting to bloom and we sat out on the patio that had large tall windows that could open if you needed them to. The sun did pop out for a while when we were there and it got quite warm, so we opened up windows and the smell of blossoms was so nice!! Lunch was superb and we enjoyed lots of laughs and chatter. I love my sisters and am so thankful that they are in my life!! Here is a link to Merridale if you are at all interested in taking a peek. http://www.merridalecider.com I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday! I am going to try to get back to bed in a bit and perhaps catch a few more winks

good morning - I am back from my long weekend away in CO for the wedding. I must say that everything went super smoothly and I think I got some really sweet wedding photos which was the goal. The only thing that went crazy was the groom forgot his shirt but the bride brought one as she thought it might be fun during the honeymoon to wear one of his shirts so it all worked out in the end. Can I just say that I was amazed at family dynamics in the photos. I was just having fun and mixing up the parents beside the bride and groom and then I wanted them touching and they just did not want to get as close as they did when I put them by their own spouses. Weather in Colorado is crazy. My aunt always said that wait 15 min and it will change. And that is exactly what happened when my sister and I along with her daughter, granddaughter and SIL went to the Rockies game. When walked there is was cold cloudy and windy and glad I had my winter coat. During pregame it rained so went in and ate at the Blue Moon Brewery and by the time the game was starting the sun came out and it was so hot as we were on the first base line field level 3 rows from field. I had to buy a hat and then we walked back to car it was clouding up and drove back to our hotel in the rain. Wacky! The game was awesome as the Rockies won 6-3 and hit 5 home runs. The flight out and back were on time and bags off fast! In fact got to Newark 30 mins early! Good to be back and can't wait to get scrapping.

Chris glad you had such a great time with your parents and with the dogs so cool. Welcome back and glad you are enjoying your showers!

Kat congrats on the Redwings. I can't wait for the play-offs to start!

Rae so glad to hear you are still having fun with the dogs! Glad work is good at home.

Trudy so sorry the Bruins did not make the play-offs so I guess you and I will be on the sidelines. Next year! Happy birthday and hope the lunch was fun!

Have a great day!

Just a quick hello this morning. I'm swamped with work already and have to fit in dog walking with Ava later so it's going to be a crazy day. I don't mind though, its easy work, there's just a lot of it. I'll be getting a good paycheque this month :)

Finished at 8:00 last night and relaxed with Quantico and Blindspot. Love both those shows. I was so tired I didn't even think about wanting to scrap LOL. I think there'll be very little scrapping this week for me. Taz will be going to daycare tomorrow as I won't be walking Ava and he can go hang out with his buddies. That'll give me a day to really push and get my work done before the other girl resumes her part of the job. I'll find out in the next few months if I will be getting both clients permanently. it would be a good paycheque, just a real adjustment of my time. So, either way, whatever happens, I will figure it out.

Chris - welcome home.
Trudy - I'll check out your link later. You go to the most interesting placed on the island.
Nancy - glad the wedding went well and you had fun taking photos.
Kit - sounds like you have a busy workday too today.

Gotta get cracking at this job and then walk Ava at lunchtime. No rest for me until tonight. Have a great day, everyone!

Trudy, I think my weather right now is a little bit of what Nancy was experiencing on her trip ... sun (and it's nice in the sun - but cold in the shade), rain, cloudy, not cloudy! LOL I would really like temps in the mid 70's for a while - but without the allergy season to go with it. I don't ask for much, do I?! I'm feeling a lot better than this time last week, but still waiting for the cough to finally go. At least sleep is a more welcoming and I can lie down without the benefit of a coughing fit!

Work? Eh. :yield: Too much to do and not enough hours in the day ... usual stuff. Rae, sounds like you're busy!! Keeping my fingers crossed that your temporary clients become permanent ones.
