What. A. Day. My oh my... Ya can't even log into Google news without American Insanity being splattered everywhere. This government has lost its darn mind. And that is all I am going to say about *that.* :tape: :tape:

My kids had good days at school. Cait had only one class and was home before noon. She has only that same class today but it was canceled. The school lost power so any classes before 11.30 are not able to be held. She has to do errands in town today and then babysit later on, so it works out for her. When I asked Scott how his class went, he said that it was hell and can he please drop out? My heart fell for a second because he used to say that on a regular basis in the past. Then I realized that he was looking forward to this class a lot (Field Botany) and saw that he was busting on me. Whew!!

I tried to stay away from the weather sites but it looks like we are going to get rain every day down the shore. Hurricane Florence looks to be coming closer to the east coast. Not close enough where we could cancel without a penalty but enough to make it windy and rainy.
There is still time for it to change course. Right????

Gary and I are taking W and J to the vet. W needs another vax and Gary wants J's ear to be checked out. She was shaking her head a bit and there was some gunk in it the other day.
Other than that, I am just tired.

Have a fab day, my friends!

Looking back at yesterday's post- I haven't gotten the full rundown on how Leah did, but Scott said that he did get to see her when she had a short break. That had to have helped a bit. I hope so.

Hey Jenn! That is awesome about homeschooling. I was so fed up with my school district that I wished that I had it in me to homeschool my kids. But when Scott was on a medical absence for 3 months, I saw how he was with his home instructor and there was no way I could deal with that.-- and I am a Certified Elementary Ed teacher :pound: How did the meeting with the mom and girl go?
Mantis, mantissees? Mantii? LOL!!
BTW- I used two of your latest paper packs in a LO and I think you are always so creative. Good luck!

Nancy-You are reminding me that I am overdue for my dentist appt since I had to cancel mine last month. You are doing a great job with clearing out photos. I am impressed!
How is your DH doing with his classes starting too?

Trudy!!! How freaking adorable that Hunter kisses you but hangs up. Love that!!! That is a great scrap page idea too. Hope that you had a great day hiking.

Jean- There are some schools in NJ that have early dismissals because of the heat. That sounds crazy but it isn't like the planet is warming or anything. :lalala:
Leah was already teary because Scott was being a butt to her. Campbell men want to fix everything by telling us how to feel. I had to yell at him for that too. But I felt so responsible anyway. :( She knows that I love her so I hope that helps a bit.

Felis- we miss you and want you to come and chat with us. I need some Biggie and Tiny stories :pupkiss:

xoxo

Morning ladies.... Whew what a warm hike we had yesterday! It was really hot but the sceanery was just lovely! we had lunch oceanside and so the breeze off the water was very welcoming! It was a large group on our hike to yellowpoint park and two part hike with some climbing on the first one and then down to the ocean on the other. I will post a page at some point hopefully! Yesterday I got a phone call from the dentist, they had a cancellation and so I will be able to get my teeth cleaned this morning instead of having to wait until November. Then SIL, MIL and I are taking Sharon (my Gary's youngest sister) for a birthday lunch. Tomorrow I will go to the hospital and get an x-ray on my foot as I managed to get into the dr. the other day and she is worried that I might have chipped a bone in my foot. Also found out that I have Raynaud's syndrome, I can't even go into the veggie dept of the grocery store without my fingers turning white and losing feeling :mmph: I am falling apart!! Not sure what I will do for my hikes in the cold weather?? It affects my toes too so that will be fun!! NOT!! So needless to say because I got home late in the day I did not get much done in the way of scrapping, seems I am not having much luck with it all, but hopefully things will calm down after today and I can spend some time doing that! I have so many ideas rolling around in my head, but no time to work on them. LOL .

Chris - I will keep my fingers crossed that the weather does a complete change for you and that you have warm sunny skies for your trip! You deserve the break for sure! Glad to hear that the kids had good days at school, hopefully it continues to be that way for them all! That darn Scott, pulling your leg like that LOL, such a trickster! Hope that the vet visit goes well and is not too expensive!

Jen - I commend you on your homeschooling, I don't know that I would have ever had the patience for that! Hope that your get together with the FB group went well and the girls got along just fine! Looking forward to your creativity now that your computer is up and running again!

Nancy - It must be nice to have your dentist visit behind you, I am not looking forward to mine as the hygenist usually hits a nerve and sends me almost flying out of the chair! Perhaps I will ask for some freezing this time. Another interesting meal for you again, very different combination of flavours, but glad that it was delicious for everyone!

Jean - Wow it must be very, very hot there for them to close down the school! Hope that the temps improve and you get some much needed relief from the heat!

Felis - Glad that things are good for you, but sorry to hear that you are not happy with the way things are here! I hope one day you will re-consider and join in just for the fun!

Ok I better grab a coffee and get into the shower and ready for my day! Maybe, just maybe I can get going on my pages that I have started. I think today is our last really warm and sunny day and then the clouds move in for the weekend of course LOL. Have a great Thursday everyone!

good morning - well late morning. Had a great talk with my sister so that was fun and put me behind in getting on line. We are planning our trip to Sweden which happens in less than a month. She just started a new job but they knew she had this trip so all is good that way. I cannot believe that my hockey season is only a few weeks away. Scary how fast time goes. Tennis was exciting. Yesterday was busy with dentist, grocery shopping and laundry. It all seems never ending.

Chris glad that school went well for the kids. And this heat is causing so many problems for the schools. Our town is having early dismissal - not sure if it is worse on the kids or the teachers. Amazing that a university had a power outage.

Trudy sounds like a great hike. Hope it was not too hard on your ankle. Hope the X-ray turns up nothing serious.

Jean have fun at the bird meeting and enjoy the AC.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. I got through my busiest days of the week and now today and tomorrow I'll have a bit more breathing room. Whew...what a crazy week (like always though, right LOL). We are waiting to hear what the plan is for B. All the biggies at the hospital have been mtg and discussing where to go from here. I think something should be happening over the next month or so. Last wkend was 6 mths in the hospital for her so things need to move on. We need her placed somewhere where she has more to do, some kind of routine. Movies and puzzles are great but she needs more. So, fingers crossed, things progress soon.

Taz and I have been adapting to our jogging routine really well. I ordered an accordian leash and waist belt on amazon but the leash is a bit heavy for him. It'll do for now but eventually I think I'll want something more lightweight. I can use the belt to hang stuff off of so it wasn't a total waste of money.

Chris - fingers crossed for the weather for your trip but at least you'll get to hang out with your mom and have some relaxing time away, no matter what the weather is.

Trudy - hope the foot is ok. I chipped a bone in my foot on our honeymoon many yrs ago and know how much that hurts. Hope you heal quickly.

Nancy - another trip...wow. What an exciting life you lead! And of course with hockey coming soon, that is also so much fun for you.

Jean, Jenn, Felis and everyone else....hope all is well.

I'm getting to work now and need to edit some engagement photos off and on today and tomorrow so I can get the mat board ordered and get a photo enlarged for framing so guests can sign it at the wedding next wkend. It's a lot of work but I'm looking forward to photographing our friends' wedding. It will officially be the last wedding I shoot, and officially will be retired from photography after that. I was proud of myself, I turned down a wedding gig that was offered this week, sticking to my guns about being retired. I know it's the best thing for me, to focus on myself, my own photos now.

Have a great day everyone. Talk later.

Much cooler today which I like.

Chris, we'll keep a good thought for your weather next week!

Trudy, the hike sounds lovely and hope you scrap it quick to remember it when you have so much waiting to scrap. Here's hoping the x-ray shows it isn't something serious. So sorry to hear about the Raynaud's! Chris will be sympathizing with that and maybe have some tips. Have fun with the birthday lunch.

Nancy, Sweden coming so soon? Wow, busy travel year for you. I can see why you need to get the Alaska pages done. I saw an ad for the hockey season and it just didn't seem possible it's that time again.

Felis, darn it, you can come chat all you want. It has nothing to do with the other.

Hi to all.
