I need coffee, lots and lots of it. I am exhausted. Ran myself ragged yesterday and still have several more days to go.
[ignore me if you have heard this before :ignore1:]

I think I spent an hour just cleaning the staircase. Steps, risers, spindles, railings, and what I can reach of the shelf alongside. Plus, the DR is done, the main bath is done. And nothing looks any different LOL That part makes me aggravated. How can I clean for 2 straight days and it looks the same? It's satisfying cleaning for my friend because you can see the end result is nicer. I'll have to live vicariously through my work at her house today.
That's my day, cleaning for my friend and this afternoon I am working on the patio. We have quite a graveyard of yellow jackets next to the door and I want to sweep the dead ones up while not p******* the living ones off where they sting me again. The plants are all "end-of-season shabby" too. Some clipping back/ripping up those will make the area look better. Plus, I think the fresh air and sun will help energize me. I haven't been outside since we got back from the shore.

Scott's coming by today to pack up some more stuff and he is staying for dinner :heartpumpred:

What good plans do you have for today?

Well, if you ask me.....spring and fall cleaning is overrated! We've scrapping to do, after all! ;)
That is the truth!

Oh, that's fantastic news about Mark's test. I mean it stinks that it is an ulcer but that is soooo much better than the alternatives! :hug2:

@Cherylndesigns Great news about Marley too! Keep spoiling her from Aunt Chris :D
I just looked at my Grandma's medals. I am going to need a loupe to read the inscriptions but most of them are of Mary. Jesus is a close second. I remember how much she adored Mary.

@BrightEyes I love that photo of you!
I am so jealous of your temps. I feel like I haven't been warm in ages. (slight exaggeration) I would trade the cold fall air for a few Indian summer temps with you if I could.
I hope you didn't hurt yourself getting the sheets on the bed, but ITA. Fresh sheets is one of the best feelings ever. Good luck at the Dr today and the vax appt tomorrow.

@LSlycord That's fab news that your gums are healing up well. Sorry that you had cavities and that you have to go back again. But better to get them taken care of now, esp since your gums aren't so tender. That's for sure.

@taxed4ever What a pretty autumn sign! I think the lettering is perfect, the outline picks up the color of the door. You are so creative!
Did you end up going to the pool? Hope your arms kept you afloat :giggle4:
I just looked at the weather here. It's cloudy again and we are getting more rain tomorrow and Saturday. I would *love* to send the rain to you. It's not looking good for me to clean the patio this afternoon. pfft.

It's so true that my family won't notice if there is dust anywhere. Even as someone who has been cleaning houses weekly for years, I never notice dust in anyone's else house when I am at a party or gathering. I put it all on myself LOL!

@bcgal00 More (((((((((((hugs)))))))))) coming your way. I know you know this already, but we are all with you, sending love and support. Please let Jen know that we are thinking of her and Bailey tomorrow too. ♥

Two more sips of coffee and I better get going.

Love to you all!

Morning everyone! There are patches of blue sky out there, and it looks like the sun will be out for the next few days. It poured rain most of the night, so seeing the sun will be really nice! I hope to join SIL Linda down at the Lake today to watch the Nationals for Team Canada Rowing. It will be going on for the entire weekend and starts this afternoon. So really nice that the sun will be out for the rowers and hopefully all the rain we have had has cleared up the Lake a bit. I worked on a page yesterday for the Colour Play release and hope to do another one this morning. I will spend a bit of time working on my Junk Journal today also, its coming along quite nicely, so fun to play with all the paper and goodies that will decorate it. I hope to get a Christmas one done too. I should be getting going on my Calendar, I have one page down eleven to go LOL.

@faerywings - Sounds like you are knocking yourself out with all the cleaning :mopping::vacuuming::housekeeping: Remember to take care of yourself or you will be too pooped to party!! Perhaps a nice long bath :bubblebath:in your nice clean bathroom will revive you! I need to get out and cut back all of our plants and bushes outside as well, its been too soggy lately, but the weekend looks promising for a day to spend doing all that yard work. Then we will be at the In-Laws to do more and get things put away for the winter. The fire ban has been lifted, so we hope to have a fire with the In-Laws and have a Weiner roast, it will be nice to sit around the fire! Enjoy your dinner tonight with Scott, so nice that he will be so close and most likely will be popping in probably more than you think.:lovey3:
Ok my coffee cup is empty and I need to find some photos to work with for my next layout. Have a great day everyone! :cowwaving:

Good morning all.

It's a beautiful day here - 75 right now, but you can feel just a touch of fall in the air. We've gotten quite a bit of rain, which we really needed. I still need to get out and pull weeds, but just haven't been motivated. Maybe today. LOL

No plans for today but you never know. Roger's out of town, so we do more when he's gone. He's not real "fly by the seat of his pants" he likes his routine. We all like to fly by the seat of our pants. :airplane: Last night, Adrienne, Ava, Alyssa and I went out to eat kind of last minute. We went to our favorite little Mexican place and all I had was a cheese quesadilla which never upsets my stomach. I get only cheese and they don't add in any spices. It's almost like a grilled cheese sandwich. I have to be careful with the sauces and seasonings. Like I love avocados, but quack hurts my stomach. I have always eaten a pretty bland diet.

I need to go back and read the posts from yesterday - looks like I missed some. I never got back in here.

Good afternoon ladies. I started a post when it was morning...but then I got distracted and here I am. Work is really slow today and tomorrow so I decided to take a couple of days off. The backyard is a disaster with the rains...and for some reason, Brian thought that he could fix it by digging these big holes...which created....you guessed it...big holes with muddy water and mud, right in front of the door that the dogs go out. They came in last night before bed, splashed through the muddy water and it got up on my legs to my knees. Then they tracked into the house...fortunately on tile. This morning, Brian went out and filled in the holes with dirt and added mulch over the top. I told him to just forget about the stupid backyard and lanai. It is either too hot or too rainy to ever enjoy any of it. Except for my birds... ;) I guess I'm just in a mood today.

I did go to a nice little oceanside restaurant for breakfast though. So I guess I shouldn't complain too much.

I am going to a different book club tonight. Anxious to see how I like this one.

@vickyday so happy with Mark's results! Praising God with you.

@faerywings your cleaning is sounding off the charts! I'm glad that Scott is coming for dinner! That will brighten your day for sure!

@Cherylndesigns your weather sounds lovely...except for the rain. But if you need it you need it! And I kind of like flying by the seat of my pants.

@BrightEyes love your profile picture. And hope that the doctor was uneventful and that you were able to pick up your meds without any trouble.

@taxed4ever hope that you enjoyed watching the rowers with SIL Linda. Sounds delightful...and I love your wreath on the door.

@bcgal00 I am so sorry about the house. I know how disappointing that is. My fingers are crossed that next spring will be perfect timing for you. ((hugs)) for both you and Jen as you remember Bailey on her birthday tomorrow.

Good morning ladies. I am dreading the next few days but am trying to keep busy with house cleaning, reading and have gotten a bit of scrapping done. We are all quiet, Jen is downstairs watching game shows and mystery series. D is watching his home improvement shows and playing on his ipad. I am reading a really good book (Simply Lies by David Baldacci) and am almost finished. I have been reading a lot this week or lying in bed watching shows (Keeping Faith was a really good series (watched all 3 seasons this wk) on the British Acorn network. No one feels like much chit-chat right now but next week will be better. It's been a real blow to us to have not sold the house and secured the home we picked in Alberta. Its hard to know we'll be stuck here until sometime next spring/summer, if not even longer, if the market doesn't pick up and depending on the cost of the Alberta homes by then. The only good thing right now is that finally the weather has cooled, the wildfires have lessened and I can get out more with the dogs now that its not so hot.

We have our last open house on Saturday but don't expect anything to come of it but you never know, a miracle could happen. I need to get things ready for our trip mid month, I just haven't had the energy or oomph to want to deal with it. I know once we get to Europe we will all perk up and enjoy our holiday but the preparations and plans seem so draining.

Hope everyone is well.

I'M BACK!!! Wow, was a busy day - from waking up at 6... dressed & at the doctor's by 7:45 AM.. Had a surprise when I discovered the GI doc shares the same suite as my Neurologist in the Doctor's tower at the Hospital. After describing what went on this spring/early summer with my stomach, he thinks the gastritis attack might have been triggered by a virus. Some of the other problems were side-effects from when I was on Gabapentin in Feb-April. After more review of my health history and physical exam and since my weight has stabilized, he asked about doing a MRI with contrast. I told him about the last one I had with contrast and had such a bad reaction... he said there was no point as without the contrast not much would show. He suggested that we do an endoscopy so he can check out the stomach and esophagus and make sure it is okay. Sad thing is they are booked through December and the schedule for Jan is not opened for about 2 more weeks. Will have to call then and get on the schedule for Jan.

Drove over to the base and picked up my meds. Only took about an hour to get it started to pick-up... which for the pharmacy is fast. They don't start filling it until we check in to have it done. Was happy to get gas on base as it was 45 cents a gallon cheaper there than anywhere else! Did the grocery run at the commissary - it wasn't crowded, thank goodness. Didn't get home until after 1:30 and just finished putting the groceries away.

Thanks for the comments about my avatar photo. It was taken when Jim and Alyn were here. Somehow we only took about 5-6 photos the day after they arrived... and forgot to take more.

Need to scrap a Color Play LO before the hands say "Enough". CYL

Guess what???? My Covid shot got cancelled for tomorrow.

Good news is I got an appointment for it on Tues @ 2:45PM. I have a monogram on Monday afternoon so didn't want a sore arm if I took the one available on Monday morning. Keep your fingers crossed that they don't cancel the one on Tuesday.
