The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
I am soooo confused!! I swore that today was Friday. I was all set to write that in the title. Then I thought, this week went faster than usual. Well no kidding, we still have more days left in it. Ugh. (?!??)
How is the O-Fam today? I am happy that the weather is warmer again, back into the 70s. It was so pleasant driving yesterday, nice sunshine and bright blue sky. My house is always so much colder than it is outside which makes it hard to figure out what to wear.

Scott and I took some pictures of Rita to share with Jean. She is so darn pretty but there is still no way that I want to hold her. Scott was trying to scoop her up but she kept attacking his hand.
Gary has been busy with the Halloween set-up and I got a text from my friend who lives across the street this morning: "Looked out my window and thought W(who)TF is sitting on Chris' lawn"
It is officially the season when looking out of windows, backing out of driveways, walking down the street startles the neighbors as well as ourselves. haha!

Two other bummer happening- the heater/exhaust that Gary fixed isn't working again. I am getting the fan blowing but no heat. Then the glass for the oven door came in and it was the wrong glass. And it was really hard getting the door put back together after Gary took it apart. So now I have no idea what all of this means other than life being a PITA. I am *not* saying a WORD about my washing machine. :tape:

I have nothing happening today other than boring and routine housework. I was feeling a lot better yesterday until I got into bed a little more "sprightly" than I should have and I pulled my muscle. :yell: I wanted to do some yard clean up but I think I will simply collect some morning glory and marigold seeds instead.

Gratitudes:
-warm(ish) weather
-Gary is happy when he gets his skeleton props up
-Caitlyn seems to be enjoying her internship

hugs to all of you!!

Trudy- I am glad that you are getting the rain, I am sure that it is clearing the air a bit and hopefully this means less chances of wildfires by you too.
OMG- that had to be hard to hear your FIL getting "scolded" by the Dr, but it is good that the Dr said that to him. I am worried about him as well. :(
It sounds like that Dr is on top of all of MILs medications and progress. Are either of them eligible to have a health care worker come in and check on them? Although, I doubt that they would want that.
Ack! Not your oven too! What a mess, what is up with appliances breaking down non-stop???? I hope that it is under warranty but :mmph:
I am glad that Canada is fining people coming across the border. You should not have to deal with our mess.
Halloween- yeah, I don't think Trick or Treating is a good idea. I saw that the CDC put out recommendations but sadly this administration has made a mess of the CDCs reputation. We will probably put a bucket of candy in the driveway.
Yay for Heather having some alone time!!! Gary asked if I wanted company in the car yesterday and I said no thank you. Some time by myself even if only while driving was very nice ;)

Kay- I have yet another Windows update set for tonight and I am now officially freaked out. I can't believe that you are still dealing with issues. Can you either do a system restore to before the update or uninstall the update?
Good luck!!

Cheryl- I know that Gary has a bunch of video and pictures of the skeletons on FB. Are you on FB?
I bet a gazillion dollars that your grands are happiest when they are around you. My kids feel very very blessed that they are so close with all four of their g-parents. Scott and Leah have gone on "double dates with Nana and Grandpa. Caitlyn and her (now-ex) BF would drop in to say hi and have dinner with my parents. It makes me so freaking happy that your family is so close. Family means everything to me. I was going to say family and animals but I think that they are one in the same. LOL
And yup, I see you are adding to your family in that respect too. Cograts on the new grand kitties!

hugs!

Good late morning to you all!! I have had a crazy kind of morning, first I got woken up by a bad thunderstorm at 4am. We hardly ever get thunderstorms here, let alone having them in September?? The lightening was making it look like daylight in the bedroom and DH slept through the whole thing LOL. So I got up and made my Gary some breakfast before he headed to work. Back to bed I went and slept until 8:30, then a face time with Heather and Hunter for over an hour. Poor Hunter is not happy about having to go to pre-school twice a week  Heather had to hop on her scooter and go and get him yesterday afternoon. Guess he was crying every since he was dropped off in the morning, that is just heartbreaking!! Heather is not sure if it is because its not the same pre-school that he was going to or if its because the teachers are different? :noidea: He told me that he just wants to stay home in his little 3 yr old voice  So today I will continue to work on my calendar and I need to get a painting finished for my DIL's upcoming birthday in October. I am painting her a turtle a bit of a different one than my others, she loves turtles and even has a tattoo of one on her leg. I probably should have done one for her a few years ago LOL. Other than that I have some my on line grocery shopping to get started and hopefully I will be able to pick that up tomorrow afternoon.

Chris - Yes it has felt like a friday for me also :loco: the days all run into one another don't they? I am sure that MIL and FIL could get some help from health care, but ya that's not going to happen yet LOL. FIL won't even hire someone to clean his chimney, says that my Gary could do it for him :mmph: I said no way his knees are way too bad to be cleaning out your chimney, spend some of your money and hire someone!! :rollpin: that man won't spend a dime on anything unless its a gadget for himself :mmph: Ok I will not go there :tape: It just puts me in a grumpy mood and I am already a bit grumpy because of my broken sleep last night LOL. Ya can't blame you for just going for a drive by yourself!! We all could use a bit more alone time these days!

Kay - Time to kick your old computer out the window!! I can't believe you are still having such problems with it!! I hope that things are better for you today!

Cheryl - We are still having lots of rain today, seeing rainbows this morning though as every once in a while there is a patch of blue sky out there. Rain for the rest of the weekend and into Monday also. I have to break out my raincoat and try to get out for a walk in between storm systems. I really need to look at getting a better pair of rainboots too. Hope your house building is going quickly and you will soon be moving into your new digs!

Well I better go get my hair dried and then get to work on the many projects I have going today! Always flitting between one thing to another. Have a great day everyone!

Good middle of the afternoon to you lovelies. It's a gorgeous, sunny, 73 degrees right now. Daisy and I took a long walk and guess what? A flock of Mallards have "adopted" our small lake!!! I'm SO excited because I miss our duck families that we had in Florida. Chuck just discovered the ducks this morning and we're trying to let them get adjusted before we start bombarding them with taking pictures. I guess Daisy spotted them first (Chuck takes her out every morning and lets her run). She made a beeline over to the pond. He grabbed her and brought her back inside. She got so used to our ducks in Florida and I'm sure she will get used to these, too.

We drove up to see what's going on at our house and couldn't get through on the road again. :( They're working on it and putting up those walls of railroad ties. There was no way we could get through. I was told, yesterday, that they're putting in the insulation - that's a major step in the right direction. Next, the drywall, then the flooring. EEKKK so exciting.

Chris, I'm on FB https://www.facebook.com/cherylndesigns.ny.1 - I had deleted my account (too much drama) then I got on a few CT's and had to go back on. It's a necessary evil, I guess. I'd LOVE to see Gary's skeletons.

I so love being with my grands - it sounds like your Caitlin has/had a similar relationship with her gparents. I think it was Gore Vidal who said "if I'd known how much fun being a grandparent was, I'd have had my grandchildren first". LOL It's very true. We're going to Braden's first home football game tonight. Ava called me a few minutes ago and said "be ready by 6 because we have to go get T-shirts for Braden's game" Hahaha She and Braden stop in every night (they've had dinner with us quite often, but it's usually too late) - Ava wants to have dinner for all of us tomorrow night, then we'll have dinner here Saturday night. Cam (23) will be in town!

I need to stop - I could blab on and on about them.

Trudy, how nice to see rainbows. I love seeing them. Do you have double rainbows? We had them all the time in Florida. Those were amazing. They're hard to photograph, though. These poor kids are so confused right now, aren't they? Sorry your little guy is having problems. That's why I'm happy that my youngest daughter decided to homeschool my youngest gs - he didn't much care for it last school year, but he's doing great this year. She works from home, so she's fortunate that she can take that option. The people I really feel sorry for are the ones who have to work. What the heck are they going to do? They can't home school if they're not home to do it. SO sad.

I hope to be adding some new pictures this weekend. I'll get one of the kids to take us back to the house in their ATV's - those things will go anywhere.

Oh, it totally seems like Friday to me too.
