Happy birthday to Cordelia and Olivia! They turn two today. They are so darn adorable but you can tell that they are slowing down a bit, especially compared to the Crazy Babies. I went to say good morning to them yesterday and Dilly and Livvie must have gotten chilly overnight. They had crawled in between the layers of the fleece liner and then managed to drag the fleece inside their little house. When they heard the bucket of Cheerios, they poked their noses only out of a hole in the fleece. Too darn cute. Livvie took the Cheerio but somehow, Dilly got turned around in the liner and got stuck. She eventually worked her way out of another hole to get the treat.
W did great at the vet, all shots updated. The tech said that the rabies was around $35 so I went for it. Turned out it was only $25 and since we have multiple pets we get a discount on vaccines. The visit and meds still cost almost $300 but they are all good for a year.
I am not speaking to J ATM. (This is not true, I am just disappointed in her). I had her outside on her lead and I had my hand on her collar trying to get him to come back inside. This dog is a stubborn brick. As I was guiding her inside, she heard "something," took off to the end of the driveway to guard it. In the process, the lead had been wrapped around my feet and she took me down. Hard and fast... I *think* I had called out her name, then the next thing I knew I was face first in the driveway and had dropped the f-bomb. My next-door neighbor happened to be outside and asked if I was ok. I said I was and then dropped several more f-bombs.
Cait looked out her window when she heard that, saw me lying in the driveway, and came flying out of the house to help. I don't think I could have gotten up w/o her. She cracked me up, she got saline spray and peroxide, bandages, the whole deal. She asked if I needed Boo-Boo Bunny- a rabbit made out of a washcloth that you put an ice cube inside that I think is still floating around in my freezer. *grins*
Thank all of the gods that I didn't break anything, just bruised, scraped, and some pulled muscles in my hip/groin. I am hobbling but no trip to the ER was necessary.
Back to Jaida- the reason that I am disappointed in her is that she did not care even a smidge about what she did or try to help me.
out: If I ever fall into a well, she is not going to be the dog I pin my hopes for a rescue on. No, she was only concerned about guarding the driveway.
ound:
The weather is supposed to be nice today but unfortunately, my body is not up to doing any yardwork. I will try to do some scrapping perhaps.
Gratitudes:
-Cait for taking care of me
-Scott for cooking dinner
-Gary for making me laugh at his skeleton band videos!
