I HATE technology!

All day, I fought with my computer, with websites, with our DVR etc. My computer was running slowly. Websites either being down, or having broken links or not loading pages that I needed to load to pay bills. Our DVR is missing many of our scheduled recordings and we missed American Horror Story last night. We missed Fear the Walking Dead on Sunday, but the Talking Dead recorded. SMH!

Add in stress over Gary's insulin. I went to pick up one vial- $117 for 14 days. The Pharmacist said that she thought that 3 months would be $600 which was $200 less than what the mail order wanted. Gary calls the pharmacy- turns out that the Rx was written wrong and it was more than the mail order. He starts digging into his coverage, remember that with another company, it was covered 100% under Durable Goods, along with his insulin pump and blood meters etc. He calls his current company, escalates the complaint and spreaks to someone who can get him a 20% co-pay (still $300+ for 3 months but better) but if he does that, we might end up having to pay them for the lower co-pay when his Rx claims went through the Drug coverage plan. But then it won't put him in the donut hole, should he need any other Rx's which will be likely after we see our Lyme dr next week.

are you confused yet???? :frusty:

This is enough to make me crazy on a good day. (What is a "good day" actually?? :pound:)

Today I am off to clean. I checked my cell as soon as I woke up to make sure that she didn't cancel on me again but looks like I am all set there. I have to get Jaida out for more walks. I am actually walking her *less* than when she was on limited walks. We go back for her 4 month recheck in 4 weeks, and her muscle is still very mushy.

That is about it from me- Please send me "Clam Day and Tech Vibes"
Thanks!!!!

hahah! I have a typo- send me "clam" day vibes- looks like I can't even *type* the word calm! LOL

xoxo

Nancy- isn't that the truth? I get the spring Clean Bug and the Fall clean bug too. I don't have an area that doesn't have stuff shoved into every corner or things left all over the island and tables. No one else cleans it up and I ignore it until it makes me :boom:
Hoping that your house stays clean for a long time. One can always have hope. ;)
The Devils trip meeting sounds interesting, did they picks some places they might go?
How did Luther do at the vets?

Trudy- busy day for you too! How was the hike? more pictures? Wooot of being a Norwex consultant!!! Muck luck and success vibes to you!
My town is good with recycling for the most part but hazardous waste and electronics are run through the county. The drops off are usually only a few times a year and about 45 mins away, which means it would be a hassle to do it, so they sit in the attic.
I would love to live in BC, I hate how much waste we build up here. I try to do my part, I always bring my own bags, recycle all plastic bags at the supermarket drop off, use glass containers over plastic but it never seems like it is enough.
I am with you on being in denial about autumn. I am slowly putting away my summer candles and seashells, thinking that if I only do one or two at a time, it won't hurt as much :)

Rae- *sticks fingers in ears* :lalala: Can't believe we missed AHS. *grumble* I wonder about this season, the last few started out great but then got muddled with too many loose ends. we need to start the Anti-Coffee Slosher League hahah! What a waste of good coffee!

Kat- OMG what a horrible day! I am so sorry about all of the stress. As for me, when I have days like that, I usually can't be creative- my brain just shuts down and cries out for wine. :D
Fingers crossed that today is a *much* better day!

Morning gals... Well it 4:30 is and yup I am wide awake!! I was in a really good deep sleep and then suddenly wide awake!! So I may as well be up and doing something instead of just tossing and turning. Hopefully I will get back to bed soon.

Yesterday's hike was very beautiful! We ate our lunch on the beach and the hike was a nice fairly easy one that took us on a loop around Thetis Lake. I am hoping to get a page done today sometime. We hiked for approx. 5 miles and then I went shopping for a new king size pillow for DH as his is getting pretty worn out. Found a really nice one for him and it was even 20% off. Yay!!

Chris - Oh dear here you go again with all of the health care issues! To have all the electronic issues piled on top of it too must be so very frustrating for you! Sorry that you missed AHS. I started watching it, but I don't think its the kind of show that DH and I would like. Perhaps we will give it another chance, because 5 mins into the show I looked over and he was sound asleep LOL. So I am sending you calming vibes today and hoping that your computer and everything else behaves better for you!

I will try to pop in later today to catch up with all of you after I hopefully get another couple hrs of sleep  Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!!

good morning - Last night just as my DH was getting ready for bed he got a text that the lock out is over so back to work today. He is happy and I am sure the students will be too. Each side has agreed to a Federal mediator. Yea! Then when my son came in from his first pool league games he was singing a Leslie Gore song. He heard it on a pod cast and it stuck in his mind. Yesterday was super busy. Luther had his bath and he was there with another German Shepherd. The people there are just the best. He came out with a special bandana. Came home and he took a nap. Then before the vet check up we went for a walk in a local park. The vet said he was fine awesome. Came home watched hockey all day. Took Luther on our evening stroll and we met a new puppy. Hugo a French bull dog. Then Stella was there another of his friends and they all had a great romp. Today should be a calm day. A quick trip to the grocery store and then I am done!

Chris of course
when needed electronics can be the worst. I had never heard of the donut hole until a meeting this summer about Medicare. I can't imagine how much of a hassle all this is. Sending plenty of calm (clam LOL) and electronic vibes.

Trudy you were up early - hope you are back in bed now. Hike sounds lovely. You hike motivated me to get Luther to a lovely park in a neighboring city. It was fun to go some where new for both of us.

Rae so glad that you had such a fun time with Bailey. It is great how much you are helping.

Kat yes sometimes I need my creativity but sometimes it comes in many forms. I often like reading besides just scrapping or physical creativity. Hope the stress eases. But as for traffic it is just the pits for commuters.

Have a great day all!

Hi Ladies -- and, just for Chris, wishing you a clam day ;) Too early for ya?! LOL Sounds like you had a fun day, not! The whole medical thing for Gary just sucks. I'm seeing a lot of stuff on social media about the prices and how they are a third - or less - in Canada. Oh, and happy happy joy joy, dealing with insurance companies, too. My chosen career is HR and I told one employee thing morning, that second only to dealing with the IRS on tax matters, I really dislike insurance companies.

I watched a few seasons of AHS ... and now it seems to compete with other things. It's certainly my kind of show, but I'll admit the commercials kinda creep me out. I'm SO looking forward to the return of The Walking Dead ... October 23 - mark the date!! now THAT, I won't miss each Sunday night!

Nancy, sounds like Luther's got quite a network of friends ;) Glad he's so friendly and loveable with them all. I'm a sucker for French bulldogs, so I'd be all over that puppy!

Trudy, have you seen any colors changing yet on your hikes? I bet that's a wonderful time to be outdoors just walking the trails.

Good morning, ladies. I'm dragging my feet this morning. I think my schedule is catching up to me and I'm feeling a bit burned out. But that's ok, I'll drink more coffee, keep things going and the next two weeks will fly by and then Beckham will be going home. I love having him here and the extra money, but it is definitely cuts into "me" time, trying to work, take Ava out, and then get Beckham out 3-4 times a day. one good thing is that I'm sleeping better, I'm so exhausted by the end of the night LOL. I loved AHS last night but was worried about nightmares b/c I went to bed right after that but i was fine, woke up a few times but fell back asleep and no nightmares.

Chris - sending clam vibes to you today

The medical stuff sounds like a nightmare...ugh. Our cost of living is higher here and housing is ridiculously expensive but our medical is better than in the States IMO, although its getting worse all the time. I have no medical but Darrell does. His company keeps changing providers every couple of yrs and when they do, they get a worse plan for us, taking away coverage and charging more. Sorry to hear of your electronic woes...I have days like that too.

Nancy - sounds like Luther has made a lot of friends. How wonderful for him. Socializing dogs is so great for them.

Trudy - hope you got more sleep and can't wait to see pics of your hike.

Kat - Yes, me too, I can't wait for the TWD (coming back on my birthday) so no need to mark the date, I think I'll remember :)

Hopping into the shower now and get the dogs out for a short walk before work starts. Have a great day, everyone.
