ha. I almost typed August again.

I had semi-productive day yesterday. Paid bills- woo. Got some filing and desk work done. I *tried* to make my appt for my mammo. After being on hold for a half-hour, the recording asks if you want to give a call back number and the scheduling department would get back within the hour. Well. I am still waiting.;) I have to try again today. I started checking around to see if the flu shot is covered by my insurance (it is) and where to get one in town (several places). Now I need to actually call and make an appt or do a walk-in.
The rest of the afternoon was 100% shot for me. I saw the news about DT and the info he had on COVID back in the very beginning and how he has been lying about it and I about blew a gasket. I don't even want to think about what my BP did yesterday. 200,000 dead, millions infected. Lives upended. I tried to work on a puzzle to get my mind off of it.
I woke up today still incredibly angry. It didn't help that I woke up at 4.30 after having another set of nightmares about being out and no one wearing masks and having the family over and it started to rain and everyone was in my house not wearing masks.

I have to figure out what to make for my ILs birthdays today. If we are celebrating this Sunday, it is too late to try to get something online.

Gratitudes:
-Advil

hugs!

Kay- just you amd me yesterday! How are the temps today, any warmer? I can't imagine that kind of temperature change. Does it make you all achy?
Bet your "oven foods" were yummy!

It definitely felt like Fall last evening... ended up putting a doubled-over blanket on top of my comforter as I was too cold to sleep. Not quite ready to put it on the bed for the season as we will be back up into the 80's this weekend. Today it is warming up all the way to 60.... Guess I will be wearing my sweats for another day. Yes.. the changes in weather makes me achy. The foot that had a stress fracture last winter has been acting up. So trying to stay off of it as much as possible.

Talked to my sister yesterday afternoon and she is feeling better each day. Slow but steady progress on healing.

Yes, Chris, the meal with meatloaf, baked potato and apple crisp [with ice cream] was so delicious. Having the oven on was great as it helped heat the kitchen/family room enough to be comfortable.

We're watching the end of the first NFL football game of the season. Today was the first of three days of a live-stream conference on New York state genealogy. It was was nice until almost the end when they lost the live stream. After a bit it came back and they finished up. In addition I now have links to a bunch of online lectures to go with the live portion. Saturday morning in addition to the conference I have two meetings I should attend. maybe even a third. Weird world, but it has its moments.

Chris, we keep telling you not to follow the news, but sometimes it just isn't possible. Madness! Wishing you better sleep and kind dreams.

Kay, at least you didn't get snow. We have a light comforter that has been going on and off the bed a lot recently but the big one takes really cold weather. That dinner sounds so very good.

Grateful
