:faint2:

it is not possible that it is September already. Not possible, and *not* fair. I knew realistically that this was the summer of drs and vets, but I thought that maybe I would get some "summer" feel out of it. But it is what it is and now we can start thinking about Halloween:wickedwitch
(sorry!) Our theme this year is skeleton rock band so I want to lose time on Pinterest looking for some prop ideas to make. the floating candles and apothecary jars I made last year were really cool, now I want to try some stuff for a concert - I bet anything that Ozzy has done will work hahah!

Kids did ok at school yesterday but I cannot seem to pay their tuition bills. The website was all locked up on Scott's account. Caitlyn's still isn't showing her Financial Aid so i can't pay that either. Fin. Aid Officers are usually on her campus on Thursdays so maybe she can speak to someone today.

But a big yipppppeeeeee that i am not the one who has to deal with most of this!

Today is going to the bank with Scott, he wants to close out his savings acct at the one bank and put his $$ into hos other bank. Plus he wants a debit card. I think I am custodian of the one account so he needs me there for that.
Cait and I have a follow up appt with the derm about the tinea versicolor- brown patches are her skin, which are fading away. I need her to update all of her HIPPA forms so after she turns 18 I will be able to speak with her drs re: any medical decisions.

It is a rainy day here so I should be able to get some work done in the house, not to mention we have all new challenges here at the O!

:lalala: It can't be September ... already.

Morning Chris :) Halloween for us is a pretty low-key affair - although Stan still insists on giving out candy. Now let's be realistic, he's almost 22 ... and it's one piece of candy for the kids, and one or two for himself! Then he comes back into the house around 10 pm all jacked up on sugar. Awesome.

Before long it will be holiday music, Thanksgiving, Christmas ... oh, and dang 2017!! *** breathe, Kat, breathe! *** I've got so much going on at work right now, let alone focusing on my health and getting ready for surgery, that I don't know how much I'll truly get to enjoy the holiday season. I suspect it will just be a blur.

Oh, Chris, you were asking about partial knee replacement? All I know is that it's an outpatient procedure. My guy does surgery in the mornings ... you're up and walking 2-3 hours post op., and home in 6-8 hours. Driving in 2 weeks or less. Faster recovery time and waaaaayy less pain than a full replacement (which I will still need, but hopefully not for another 10-15 years). That's all I know for now. My target for surgery is April next year and, at that time, have my BMI under the target the doctor's set for me.

How quiet is it around the house now with the kids both back at school?

nancy- enjoy every moment of your good health! Must admit I am jealous of it LOL if you haven't lost any weight walking Luther, then I am going to say it is muscle mass. Poor Caitlyn has been gaining and is *very* unhappy. But with the school year and feeling better, she is planning on working out more and will be going on some photo walks with me and Jaida at the Botanical Gardens. Weather permitting, we are going tomorrow.
hope your FFB picks turn out to be good ones. Have fun at the Open, hope the rain stops in time.
It is truly freaky how well I can read lab tests and that UI do read them every time, which is why I can't understand how I missed the ulcer on Cait's endoscopy report.
Luther is going to be one tired pup tonight, hope he has fun at day care!

Trudy- how exciting that you are going to be able to see the grands again! i wish Heather could move closer too.
Did you get good news about the wall oven? I hope they came quickly and were able to repair it on the spot. One can hope!
I feel you about the days being shorter. I don't like that one bit.

Kat- hahah! You know us too well about Halloween. However, I don't mind doing the prep work for it, but I *do* hate that decorations/stores shelves are rapidly turning to Halloween. And in approx 2.358 weeks- it will be Christmas stock.
Good for you for getting rid of your nicer work clothes- hopefully they will be able to help a woman who is starting out at a new job and can't yet afford them.
You can do this with the weigh loss. Slow and steady, You know we will be cheering you one! The knee swelling sounds so painful, and I am thrilled that the shot helps. But they don't last very long do they? Or I should say, never long enough.

Rae- how wonderful that Bailey liked the AJ page you made for her! Great focal point for her too, when she is feeling off.
Woah!!! 7 bags of clothes! Awesome!!!!! I really need to get rid of stuff too, but since I can't go out and buy new stuff, I freak out that I won't have anything to wear at all.As it is, I tend to wear a lot of Gary's clothes which is funny, since he is a foot taller and 50-60 lbs heavier than me. LOL

Time to get going with my day. xoxoxo

Morning gals... I was up so darn early again today! :mmph: wish I could just sleep through the night  So I made breakfast for DH and myself and then I sent him off to work. I am waiting to hear from my sister to see if she will get the afternoon off from work. We are going to go have coffee with our oldest brother, he has not been well lately and has had some confusing days. He is 80 now and has not been the same since he lost his wife a few years ago. So we thought we better go check on him and see how he is doing. I need to go downtown this morning also and see what I can find to take to the kids this weekend, nothing big, just a little something from us.

Chris - It must seem very quiet around your place this morning! I know how you feel about summer being over already, it seems like it was just a blur and it flew past us so quickly! It really feels like fall today with temps quite a bit cooler and no sun so far this morning. At least you have Halloween to look forward to, it is not such a big deal in our house and each year we get fewer and fewer kids.

Kat - God don't get me started on Christmas yet!! I am never ready for that holiday, no matter how early I get started, I never am really ready!! I just want to win the lottery so I can bring my DD and her family out here for Christmas, its been many years since we have been together for the holidays!! I hope that you are able to reach your weight goal, I too have to get back to watching what I eat a bit more! I could stand to lose about 25lbs!! Don't think that I ever will but I gotta give a try right? Weight Watchers here I come again!! :pout: I wish I never had to worry about what I eat!!

Nancy - I hope you are having fun at your tennis match today!

Rae - So happy that Bailey loved her gift!! It will give her strength when she needs it!

Oh BTW my wall oven is fixable, it just blew a fuse of some kind and now I am waiting for the part to come and then they will replace it. Whew!! I am so glad that I don't have to worry about the expense of replacing that! Ok better get dressed and get shopping, hope you are all having a great day!

Just popping in for a quick hello. Had to get out early to walk Ava, have lots of work to do today and hopefully will finish up at a reasonable time to scrap a bit later and spend the evening with my hubs. I have lots to do around the house and hopefully get everything done so we can get out of here tomorrow at a reasonable time to head to the trailer as I know the traffic and border will be crazy.

Chris - I can't wait to see your Halloween creations.

Kat - isn't it crazy to think that all those holidays are just around the corner. Time flies.

Trudy - glad to hear the stove issue wasn't a big thing.

OK, gotta go, ladies...work is waiting. Have a wonderful day, everyone.
