The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hey there, O-zies!!!! Good news-- my back isn't spasming anymore. The aching is currently wrapping from the back to the front of my hip which means that the worst is over. Unfortunately to get to this place I had to sit on my butt all day yesterday. I was able to get a huge amount of ACDSee work done. When I got my new hard drive I copied everything from the old to the new, then ACDSee kept crashing and I lost tags. I had duplicates of files scattered across three drives. I spent 5 hours scanning, tagging, deleting. and now, my right arm is getting that nerve pain from using the mouse non-stop. YKWIM? That tingly feeling from your elbow to your fingers? Yup, that is what is happening now. It is another cloudy day so at least I am not bugging to get outside again.

I was supposed to clean today for my friend that had gone MIA last week. I texted her if I could come on Friday instead and she immediately texted back "Absolutely!!!" Guess I had no worries about getting fired hahaha!

I am still going to take it easier today, no vacuuming for me. The house is going to be quiet, Cait is on campus all day today, Scott is at Leah's, and Gary is on Day 5 of Tindamax aka abx from hell. (wow, I do NOT miss that one. not at all). That means he will probably end up resting a lot today.

I will have to decide whether I want to keep cleaning up my hard drives or scrap. I should probably get a bit more clean-up going on and *then* scrap.

what good stuff do you have planned?

@tanteva ROTFLMAO!!! You would think we have a speech impediment considering we all use FISL (finelliiantoscasignlanguage) waving our hands and arms all around non-stop when we talk.
I have really been enjoying talking about my fam history too, it makes me feel very connected to them even though I didn't know them. Two years ago, Caitlyn interviewed my mom, just because, and I know that someday the recordings will be very important to me and to her and maybe even future generations.
It was really important to them that they were Americanized. Their given names were Italian. My Grandpa was Generoso but went by George. My Grandma was Angelica but was called Alice.
That is absolutely fascinating that your Dad didn't speak "proper" Swedish until he went to school. It is also very sad that it is almost a dead language. Do you know anyone else that speaks it? Dialects are interesting and different in my fam history too. My mom's side is from Northern Italy and my dad's is southern. The two families' dialects were so different, they had a hard time understanding each other. That seems odd to me as an English speaker. We might have different phrasing and accents but we can understand each other easily.
It also made me chuckle bout your dad and mom's family and your mom being "finer." My mom's side looked down on my dad's a little-- "paysons" - even though they all were in Italy. heh
Also LMBO over the worry of leaving John alone. I was worried that Caitlyn slept through her alarm yesterday morning and had to remind myself that she is 23. Hope you have a great day at work and that all of the packing gets done.
How is Marten doing, BTW?

Kay- That will be fun to go shopping to pick up some new decorations, even more fun with a GC! I am glad that you are being smart and not going into the attic too.
Part of me wants to attempt diagramming that sentence but I don't remember how to do it on a simple sentence, let alone one that I wrote. Faerywings, Queen of Run-On Sentences :)

@taxed4ever Darn, sorry that you didn't get to go on the hike, but I am sure that you were ahead of the game with getting a lot of other stuff done to get ready for the weekend.
That would be amazing if your DS and the fam is able to come out for the holidays. *fingers crossed for you all!*

@felis heheh, the truth about leaving cats (or dogs) with other people. I worry about the people caring for the cats, however. My cats were always pretty angry when we left them
So happy that you had a perfect day, and I hope that you have many more. LOL that you're language is being influenced by British music
Oh, and kindly reminder for you that you still don't have a donkey for your Christmas Nativity scene, lol. :D:D
hahahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

CONGRATS EVA!!!!!

OMG-- this is taking me so many tries to post, the dogs keep interrupting me.

@Cherylndesigns what a fab report for the ortho! don't make me send that picture of the slap upside the head to you too So happy to hear that it isn't hurting as much too
Gary has been feeling crummy (can't remember if I mentioned, but he took a break from his abx, and going back on them is usually a pretty horrible experience) and is waiting on a piece or part of a motor to get here. So nothing new just yet

hugs!

Morning ladies... I have another busy day of prepping for Thanksgiving and running back and forth between ongoing projects LOL. Seems I spend more time trying to remember what the heck I should be working on than actually doing the work. Had a nice long chat with Heather this morning. She has been busy painting the living room, hallways and kitchen. It's is hard for her as she can't do the high spots, because of her inability to keep her balance. There is no way she could ever be up on a ladder!! So her MIL has been coming over for the past few days and helping her out with it. I am so happy that she is able to get the help from her In-Laws!! I will have to send a nice thank you card out to them for doing that! Wish we could have been there to help! Anyway she was showing me all the work they have done and it looks great! They simply can't afford to move into a larger place right now as housing costs are just as astronomical as they are here. UGH!! I don't know how young families can afford to buy anything to live in these days!! I had a really nice visit with my sister yesterday, she is looking forward to hopefully retiring soon, she is one year older than me and works too darn hard! I wish she could afford to retire, I feel so bad for her! She has had a pretty tough life and she deserves so much better! I ordered some photos yesterday and need to go and pick those up today. I hope to get to the local little farm nearby and get some eggs for the weekend too. The place I go to is called "Hope Farm" they help out persons with Mental Disabilities and drug addictions so I am happy to contribute to the cause! The eggs are great and the price is good, so its a win for everyone! They always have plenty of eggs as I think they have about 250 free range hens. I used to get my eggs from my other sister, but its just been too much of a hassle to try to arrange a day and place to meet to pick them up. She sells to other people that live closer to her, so that is good.

@faerywings - Glad to hear that the back is doing better today! Yes I totally know that feeling of tingling numbness down the arm and to the fingers, it happens to me a lot! I use a trackpad instead of a mouse, but my arm rests on the edge of the desk and cuts off my circulation. I need to spend less time on the computer I guess. (ya like that will happen LOL). Glad your friend is ok with you not cleaning today. I hope that your Gary feels better soon, it must be so awful to have to be on those meds!! Hope you get your clean up and scrapping both done today!

@tanteva - Congrats on the GSO!! That is so nice to be chosen! Hope you are having a good day today!

@felis - Thank you so much for the lovely comment on my layout of my front porch! Glad to hear that you had such a perfect day! I need to cut back some of the bushes in our back yard also, but it has been so rainy and wet that it will have to wait for a sunny day for that to be done. Yes I know I still don't have a donkey for my nativity, perhaps one more project to add to my list this winter LOL. Hunter is doing much better, but still has some soreness in his ear poor little guy! He is so tired when he comes homes that he falls asleep during his supper. However he is sleeping through the night again so that is good!

@Cherylndesigns - I hope that Hunter is completely back to normal by this weekend! Glad to hear that your ear is so much better now too!

@nancyr - Wow that is a lot of shots in your poor arm! No wonder it was sore! Glad that the side effects were not too bad for you and I bet you are happy that it is over and done with! Still waiting to hear if Jason and family will be coming for sure before I decide to mail out the items for Christmas. I have until the end of the month to decide, so hope they let us know soon!

Ok I need to get to London Drugs to pick up my photos, hope you all have a wonderful day!

Good afternoon all. Chris @faerywings such good news about your back. Now, I won't have to slap YOU upside the head too, am I? Don't you overdo. I just sat down at the computer to type. I have to say that it's getting easier every day. My shoulder used to ache so bad, after I typed much but it's getting better. I just type a little, then rest, then type more. I'm SO bull headed - I'll git er done one way or another. At least I don't have to roll up a towel and keep it under my arm, LOL. I also had to have a smaller one tucked under my armpit. Whatever I have to do. BWAHAHA. I've certainly graduated.

I'm sorry Gary isn't feeling well. Darned meds can really mess a person up! Trudy @taxed4ever how fun that you're decorating for Thanksgiving. I hope Hunter gets over his ear infection as fast as I did. They prescribed ear drops for me, too - no other meds. I don't like to take antibiotics.

Waving and sending my love to all who come along and hoping you'll have a great Friday.

YES>>> I got some new Fall decorations yesterday afternoon. Stopped at Hobby Lobby and found a box filled with bright sparkly pumpkins and berries. It was on sale, too. Most of the pumpkins were bright orange as were the berries. Had 2 silver pumpkins, too. The really nice thing was I had found another Gift Card from when I cleaned out my wallet awhile ago but thought it was used up. When I used it at check-out it was still GOOD.. so now I have 2 GCs with $$$ to still use. Doing a happy dance! Ended up at a couple of dollar stores looking for more fall decorations. Found some sparkly orange and gold decorative mesh, some sparkly decorative tiny to small balls - 1 had gold and green and 1 had orange and brown - plus got 2 reels of orange/brown/gold ribbons, a clear shallow oval bowl and a wire wreath. Will be going back in the next couple of days as dollar store was just starting to put out the fall stuff yesterday. Hope to find some fall leaves swags to use for the wreath. I spent a couple of hours making the table centerpiece after I got home. Stood too long so ended up on the massager unit for an hour last evening. But it was worth it.

I have been busy working on a layout for Challenge #3 - Tic Tac Toe. Just got it uploaded. It shows the table centerpiece and candle holders. I am very pleased with how it turned out. Had no idea of what it would look like when I started. Put the pumpkins and berries in the shallow oval dish but that wasn't enough to fill it. Ended up taking some small pinecones from the basket by the fireplace as filler. But it was still needing 'something' to finish the look. Found some gold ribbon I had in my stash that I made into several twisty ribbon accents and that was the perfect touch to finish it off. Luckily I had a brown with white tablecloth.

Oh... got a call from DD#3... her hubby had his back surgery yesterday and it back home. He came through it just fine. Will have to see if that helps with his back pain as he still has 2 other broken vertebra that couldn't be fixed with the 'cement'.

good evening - well the of the NJ Devils preseason games was cancelled because of a power outage at the arena. My DH came home and said there were a lot of people on the train and that was how he found out. As a season ticket holder I was given 10 free parking passes and I could select the games. That made me happy. Weather today was much better as the sun came out and the temp went up to the mid 70s. Tomorrow even warmer! The last warm days. I am getting my furnace and thermometer fixed tomorrow before the cold really comes. Got in a nice walk.

@faerywings Chris so glad the back is getting better but dang about the arm. Glad that your client is so flexible! Hope Gary feels better soon!

@taxed4ever Trudy you always are the busiest person. My sister always feels if you cant move your can repaint and that makes it all feel new. Have fun getting eggs!

Kay congrats on the finding the gift cards and the new fall decorations. Again a fun way to make the house feel new! Glad the back surgery went well. Back surgery can be scary!

@felis felis how cute that you have an evil kitty! You are probably correct about the my kitty seeing dust LOL.

@Cherylndesigns Cheryl I think we all are stubborn LOL. I would be at my computer too with rests in-between.

Waving to all!

Just popping in to say I'm too tired to function (long busy work day yesterday - everyone had to go to the library yesterday!) and I have tons of stuff I need to do.

Hopefully, I'll be on top of things tonight ... or tomorrow ... or next life ........

I'm off to look for your decorations layout, Kay. I'm so sorry that DD3's hubby has to have back surgery. :(

Yes, we're all stubborn aren't we? I will figure out how to do something (like chat on here and make digi layouts) for the life of me. Hahaha
