Time flies when you are having "fun??" :flypig:

It is crazy that it is already the 5th. We still haven't gotten any of our outdoor Halloween decorations put up yet. I worked a bit in the front garden area yesterday, cutting back all of the spent plants so we can put some of the things in there. We are going to be careful in the placement of some of our things so we don't have dogs tripping over fake gravestones.

Today I have to get fillings done in another tooth but first I have to talk to the dentist. My insurance co only covered the filling for a silver filling rather than tooth colored. At this point in my life, I don't care what color a filling in a molar is. I am going to have to let them know that I don't want tooth-colored so I can save some $.

I am not sure how Scott is feeling this morning yet. I told him that if he isn't ok to drive with his neck that I would take him in, but I don't know how I will get him back home since his classes don't end until 9 pm. And the other thing is that my dentist appt is at 9 and his school is about 40 minutes away so I am going to have to know soon.

Dentist. Yard work. Halloween decorating. Then: :faint2:

That song that you like sounds like something that I need to drill into my head. I worry over so much that is silly since most of the time, it doesn't amount to anything.
I haven't seen Vicki's new kit yet but I know I am going to love it.
Whisky doesn't seem to have a care in the world with the meds. Ray was just in to see the vet over the summer so i know that she is all good even though she is old. Thank you for thinking of my girls!

Nancy- how fun for Luther to follow the scent of the cats. Yay for hockey and baseball. you are going to be in heaven! You and jean will behave with the playoffs. :nono:

I am back and the second mug of caffeine is starting to kick in, thank goodness!

Scott is up and said that he not feeling as good as he would like but is better than yesterday. That's good. Although, today is his long day so hopefully some Aleve will be enough to keep the pain down.

Trudy- how was your hike? Your weather sounds perfect! The sun was very nice here yesterday and will be even nicer today. Wish i could ditch the dentist, grab my mom, and head down the shore for the day.
I am so sorry to hear about SIL's loss. I hope that being in nature helps to take her mind off for a bit.
My Gary is getting somewhat better drinking water but lives on (too much) coffee and seltzer. At least he is willing to eat more fiber so that is a start.

Jean- don't get me started on Drs. :tape: I don't understand why it is always so difficult to get a dr, his staff, and an insurance company working together to actually keep people healthy. Ugh. rant away, my friend!

Rae- how was the b-day dinner? Hope everyone was healthy and that you had a great time together.

good morning - woke up a little before 7am and it was all cloudy and now when I took out Luther around 8:15am it was bright blue skies. Today up near 81. Yea. I had to open my windows as it was warmer outside than inside. Crazy. Well watched the AZ Diamondbacks hold on and defeat Colorado 11-7. Glad to see AZ in the play-offs. Well the hockey season is off with a roar. Conor MacDaivd scored a hat trick and he had the only goals. He is an amazing player. Yes my knees are better so that makes me happy. Had a great dinner out at a favorite spot that I had not been to in ages. A mediteranian style restaurant. Brought my DH home some too. More hockey today and baseball.

Chris so glad that Scott is feeling a bit better. Good luck with the dentist. I am like you who cares what color the filling is this point. I had silver so long. LOL Have fun putting up the Halloween decorations

Felis hope you got some scrapping done. I really need to get back to scrapping.

Trudy have fun on your hike. Amazing how easy it is to let life get in the way of scrapping.

Jean I totally understand the anti-Yankee feeling. They have won so much and the fans just think it should be theirs. But it is nice that lately they have this whole new bunch of young players that are just getting a taste of the play-offs. But I still hope that the Indians finally get their win!

Rae please feel better. How did the dinner go. Hope everyone was healthy and no one makes anyone else sick. Even though you are busy take some me time.

Morning ladies... I was up at 5:30am with DH, but that's ok I went to bed at 9:30 last night so I had a very good sleep! Made him some steel cut oatmeal and blueberry bran muffins for his breakfast, he is a happy man!! Today I am off to the consignment store to try and sell some of my too big for me clothes. The woman has a lovely store and only takes clothes that are in really good shape, wants them cleaned, ironed and on hangers, so I spent yesterday afternoon getting my old fall wardrobe ready to go. Hopefully they sell and she doesn't reject any of my items :becky: Yesterday's hike was very nice, a long hike, but not too hard, with just a few easy climbs, and lovely trails with beautiful scenery!

Chris - It is still early, lots of time to get the Halloween decorations out, people around here have not started to set up for Halloween yet. At least you got to be outside yesterday and spend some time in your yard! Sure hope that Scott is feeling better, it is such a horrible thing to have such a stiff neck and back!! I agree why pay for tooth coloured fillings for a molar that no one is going to see. It would be great if you could ditch the dentist and spend the day at the shore!! I say go for it!! SIL did not come on the hike, she txt me in the morning and said that they had friends coming to visit so they would be spending the day with them. It's good that they are coming for Thanksgiving, we will catch up with them then!

Nancy - Glad that you had blue skies this morning for your walk with Luther! Such nice warm weather for you today!! The moon here this morning is so beautiful!! Almost time for it to set but it is full and bright and reflecting off the lake, so pretty!! Wish I had taken a photo, but it never turns out the way it should and does not do justice to it. I am going to try to get my hike pages done today and will use Anna's templates to get it done quickly!

Rae - Ugh that is too bad about your new bird feeder !! I need a new one also as mine has gotten all cloudy from the dishwasher and I have a hard time telling how much liquid is left in it. Next one will be glass not plastic. Hope your birthday dinner went well, Bailey is so lucky to have you in her life!! You probably have another very busy day with work today, so I hope you get to spend some time to yourself later on this evening!

Jean - I keep waiting for the day that my Dr. moves or retires or something, I can't imagine trying to find a new Dr. these days! I think I should be ok for a few years as my Dr. is still pretty young. So frustrating when your appts. get cancelled!! :frusty: Hope your day is better today, at least you got to do some scrapping!

Good morning, ladies. Today is the first day I feel completely back to normal. Yay. The birthday party never happened yesterday. We've not heard from Bailey so at this point don't know what happened but we can guess, unfortunately. I'm sure Jen will hear from her today or tomorrow. We'll cancel the dinner (she wanted fajitas) but we'll be having a thanksgiving dinner this wkend so will give her her gifts then, if she comes.

I talked to the other doctor I work for part time and her girl wants to semi-retire so I've agreed to take her full days of Tues and Thurs and will continue to cover full time for holiday relief which will probably be more often as she seems to need a week's break fairly often. It will cut into my "me" time a bit more but I'll be happy for the extra money. Also, it will be good to have a schedule like this so I'm more aware of the work volume. Now I know Tues and Thurs will be busier and I'll have the other 3 days as catch-up days. So, we'll see how this works out, starting for November.

Chris - glad to hear Scott is feeling a bit better. Hope you get the driving schedule figured out for you both today.

Trudy - good luck at the consignment store.

Nancy - enjoy your sports today.

BTW....Chris....just wanted to let you know I got the Dr. Bronner lavender soap you mentioned and love the smell! It's like heaven. I got a big bottle on amazon. My new shampoo (Andalou) is also with lavender oil which I am loving too, so I must be on a lavender kick lately

Slept late and it's cloudy, but...since things for today were canceled, I'm hoping we can soon drive out to the apple farm. It has changed a lot since DH first took me there 49 years ago, but it is still a super spot. I need a gallon of cider for Saturday, my part of the treats for a genealogy group open house and theirs might be nicer than at the grocery. And I can get my pick of apple type.

Chris, if these doctors can cancel appts, why not us? Wish you'd do it and take Mom to the shore. But in real life, I'm sure you've gone to the dentist. Hope Scott isn't in too much pain to do his longer day. The Halloween decorations will be so great and make you all happy whenever they get up.

Nancy, hockey and baseball today sounds really fine. You know I'll be glued to the Indians game. Tomorrow CC Sabathia, former Indians pitcher, will face off against our Corey Kluber. They will be intense games! Sounds like yesterday was fun for you and hope today is too.

Trudy, good luck with the consignment store. Sounds like a nice place and maybe you'll find some deals in your now smaller size. Looking forward to your hike pages. You've done beautiful ones with the templates before.

Rae, sorry about the birthday, we can hope it was something else. But you are certainly going to be one busy worker bee, especially two days a week. Hope it isn't too much. All that lavender sounds heavenly. Maybe I'll look into that soap too.

Felis, hope you've had a good day with time in the garden and with the animals. And you thought the cat was headed to the bird house, well later that day she was found with an avian body. Serious time outs ensued.

Today I feeling very sad and hopeless. I waked up late and spended whole day doing nothing. At the night TV show are shown one dog shelter which is used just to money laundering. Dogs lives in horrible conditions. And are left to starve till death, to save money from euthanasia. The views from the hidden camera was so so heartbroken. At the society a big dispute arose why the government gives money for abandoned dogs, till so many abandoned kids and adults lives in misery. No one ask who has abandoned these dogs, adults and kids. No one can answer. The whole life is created from suffering. No matter how hard you try, nothing change. I feeling very sad and grumpy today.

Chris, I hope you have succeeded in following your todays plan!
This song which I was quote is Maroon5's ''Fortune teller'', it's a love song, but I use it often like life motive for different cases. I really couldn't worry too much for things like my financial position, imperative repairs, and other casual problems. Past few year I had often to deal with disease and loss, so will be very disrespectful to my real pain if such a minor issues such as poverty could affect me .

Nancy, your yesterday story for the friends which Luther meets, was so sweet! So good that you have warm weather today too!

Trudy, hope you had success at the consignment store! So sad about your SIL's loss, my condolences!

Rae, great for your extra work, I have no doubt that you'll can arrange your new schedule at the best way! So bad about Bailey, these colds are very stubborn.

Ouch, Jean, this is absolutely awful!!! Tell them about this little bells for collar. Cats hate it, but helps much. My Hunter have one of them, because this cat is pure evil, I wouldn't be surprised if her family tre could be followed to Salem :wickedwitch. She is indor, but too often escape, my neighbor have grain barn and she go there directly. Like I said earlier I had success with few street cats which lose hunting instincts after start eating dry food. But this one is my total failure, even I had it from kitten and I have fed her from a baby, never was necessary to hunt to survive. I was so disappointed so I give her to live on other place, but she escape and coming back. It's so strange someone so sweet to be so evil. Probably that's make me awful person, but I still love it !
Hope you had good time at the apple farm. I love apples too, but on pie .
