GooOd morning! How is my O-Fam doing today? I am 100% not liking the darker mornings but what can you do? If I could, I would move closer to the tropics where the sun was stronger and the days were longer. And warmer. ;)
The weather changed up a bit and isn't going to be as hot as they had predicted earlier this week.

Not much happening here, I am slogging through my days, getting some small things done. The day before yesterday, I made a triple batch of banana bread/muffins. Scott is having a rough time so I did that to cheer him up a bit. Caitlyn sent me a picture of Muffin eating a bite of banana muffin while using her tumor as a table. It has been an "interesting" mixture of some good and not so good in the last couple of days.

Instead of going down the shore, my mom, Cait and I are going to do some shopping at The Christmas Tree Store which will be fun. Cait has gift cards from her birthday and they usually have a lot of Halloween decorations so she might do well. I have to look for something for my SIL's birthday which is in 2 weeks. I think she is the only other b-day coming up until my dad's in November. Then I have a "breather" until Christmas. *snorts* I spent some time on Pinterest the other day and sadly, didn't have much luck other than wasting time.

Have a wonderful day!

Trudy- did the fog clear up in time for your hike? When I went food shopping the other day, I had to drive up the mountain and it was strange drifting in and out of it.
Socks! I finally remembered the other brand of socks that Scott loves-- SmartWool. He loves them and he has bad Reynauds too. As he says-- "thanks, Mom, for all of the bad genes." LOL
Great news about your eyes being healthy even if the Rx is a bit stronger.
Awww, that is going to be so nice for your kids to be together for Thanksgiving!

Rae- brrrrr!! That is chilly. Hope that it warms up for you. Sorry that you are having to take on more work, but maybe with fewer trips to the hospital you will be able to block out more time for work. Although I guess if the new facility is going to be farther away, that might not help. Well-- if anyone can make it work I know that you can.
Hope that your finger is better today. When my arthritis flares up, the knuckles get hot and swollen. My pinkies seem to be the most affected.
Love your Survivor game with the family-- hope that you win!
Yay that you scrapped!

Jean- hope you had a fun lunch!

xoxo

Morning O-zies!! I am up far too early this morning, but I got tired of tossing and turning in bed :mmph: So up I got and wasted some time on Pinterest and then made DH some breakfast. He was happy LOL. Not sure if I will try to go back to bed this morning or not. Seems I just don't need that much sleep anymore. Maybe I will crash later on this afternoon, but I doubt it. Oh well more time to do what I need to do today. Yesterday's hike was very nice, such a pretty little forested area and we had our lunch down by the lake. It was however very chilly and I had to really bundle up to keep warm. Thankfully there was no wind to speak of, but it was even colder the deeper we went into the woods. I hopped into a nice warm tub when I got home to take the chill off. My fingers and toes suffered a bit, but they warmed up too. I really need to catch up on my hiking pages, but I have so many other pages to do too :becky:

Chris - Seems like you are feeling the same way as I am about the cooler darker days. I really want summer back! Yes the fog cleared for our hike, I was happy to not have to drive through a dense fog all the way! I will have to look for the smart wool socks, thanks so much for the suggestion! I don't want to have to give up hiking because of this darn Reynauds syndrome :mmph: You have been busy baking! I love banana muffins and I have a great recipe for mini banana loaves with a bit of orange juice in it. Sadly I can't eat them, but my Gary sure loves them! Hope Scott is not going through anything too terrible! Yes it is wonderful that the kids will all be together and now it sounds like they will be together for Christmas too!! Well as long as the weather cooperates for the drive at that time. I hope you get some inspiration for a gift for your upcoming birthdays, yes Pinterest is a wonderfu waste of time LOL. Have fun at the Christmas tree store!

Rae - Ughh now they want you to do more work? Oh well I suppose it is a good thing to keep you busy and the extra money is always nice! I have to get out my warmer clothes soon and I will begrudgingly put away my summer clothes  I need to get a new warm winter coat this year too, seems like we are off to a early start with the cold weather. Sounds like you have a bit of arthritis in your finger, or perhaps you got bitten by something? Seems strange that it should all of a sudden just get swollen like that :noidea: The frames that I picked out are Titanium ones nice and light, but hubby doesn't like the way they look on me, says that they are too large and sit too far down on my face. So I guess I will have to go back to pick out a different pair. :mmph: I saw your page for the 52 Inspirations challenge, so pretty! I am so happy that you found some joy in creating again! Hopefully you will be able to find some more time to scrap again!

Jean - Sounds like you are very busy with your ancestry stuff and lunch meetings! I am so happy that my challenge inspired you to scrap after so long! Seems that we are all having a bit of trouble finding time to get our layouts done LOL.

Ok I need more coffee and then will wait for a facetime call from Heather and Hunter this morning. I think if I go swimming today it will be later on in the afternoon. I will see how busy it is at that time of day. Tuesdays swim was very, very crowded with 4-5 swimmers in every single lane. :gaah: it was hard to enjoy doing my laps with so many others in the pool, but I am sure they all felt the same way too. Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!

Good morning, ladies. It was cold when I got up this morning, only 38°. That is colder than usual at this time of year around here. I ended up at the doctors office yesterday as the swelling and discomfort was really making it hard to work. Its osteoarthritis which doesn't surprise me as I have it in my neck and lower back. I think the big flair is due to my wkend of a few drinks with orange juice at the casino with Jen and D (she won a ton of money a few days before so shared a bit with us. We went over after visiting B at the hospital on Sat night. Then I had potato chips (cooked in avocado oil which is healthier but still not a great food choice) and the last non-compliant thing I had was a piece of B's birthday cake. So I'm not surprised that it caused such an inflammatory response in me but didn't expect it to be so bad. The anti-flammatories are helping the swelling a bit already but I still can't bend the finger much and the back, neck and finger still hurt. Last night the neck inflamed and woke me up, I lay there in pain for about half an hour and then fell back asleep. So this all scared me enough to go on an elimination diet and figure out exactly what foods are triggering an inflammatory response. Its going to be a hard month of eliminating a lot of the foods I love (especially coffee) but I need to do this and help my body as best I can. I follow a paleo (sort of autoimmune protocol type) but now I will fully comply with it and see what happens. I ordered chickory tea to replace my coffee and am curious to see how I like it.

So I'm staying home from the hospital today so that I can spread my work day out longer and take more breaks to rest my hand.

TV-wise, I couldn't sleep last night so started watching Good Girls. A 10 episode series. I really like it a lot. I had PVR'd it b/c I like the women who star in it. I think it was on Bravo.

Chris - I love banana bread too. Shopping at the xmas store sounds like fun.

Trudy - glad you had a good hike yesterday. Do you have a pic of your new glasses? I know you said G didn't like them but do you?

I'm getting another coffee and getting some work done, so I'd better go. I'll pop in later if I can. Have a great day everyone.

It is so gray today that perhaps I feel the same. Yesterday was a nice day with a long lunch with a friend and bird club last night. I'm hoping to get in a little birding if it's not raining this afternoon. The silky dogwood is reblooming which I only just noticed this morning. That makes me happy.

Chris, hope Scott was cheered by your baking. Love the humor from Cait and Muffin. Shopping the Christmas Tree store sounds like fun and will be time together for you three.

Trudy, hope you either got some sleep later, or made it through without. Seriously, what Rae said about whether YOU like the new frames. Bigger ones can be nice for better vision, I think. The hike sounds lovely and at least you got to warm up at home. Good luck with change of time for the pool. That did sound too crowded! And it looks like the rainy day challenge is bringing out some really nice work. Love your inspiration for it too.

Rae, sorry to hear that you're having arthritis flare ups. Hope you don't have to eliminate all the things you've been enjoying. Don't imagine the extra work is helping either, but you'll do whatever you have to.

Good day to all.
