Happy Halloween to all of you who celebrate!
And yes, it is not a Snowy or Hurricane one here in NJ! Trick or Treating will actually happen on time LOL
Cait has a party to go to and Scott is going to help Gary set up the decorations. I get to man the door and hand out (try not to eat) the candy.

My hair looks to pretty! Gary's cousin did a fab job and picked a really warm honey blond for the highlights. And her son is sooooo cute! He is 14 months old and just the cutest thing! He kept running right into Cait's arms to hug her. Noel's family is kind of messed up and I think it made all of us happy to re-connect.

off to see The Grandmen in a little bit. what i'm interested in seeing is if i can actually get out of the car at the other end of the road trip. my back is a real mess. :hurt: ah, well.

Oh Phyllis that really bites!!! Is she eligibly for any of the subsidies? I know that I am, but I can't find out how much I will be able to get. Gary can't pick a new plan for his Medicare because we don't know how much we can afford to pay for his, until I know how much I can save on mine. It is a freaking mess!
I really really wish we could have just gone right to single payer or a Medicare for all. But oh no, the poor insurance and phama companies might not make as much money that way. Boo freaking hoo!

Sorry that I am so vocal and angry about this, I went to pick up one of Gary's abx-- generic doxycycline-- it was $190 for ONE MONTH! I couldn't get it. Didn;t have the $$. He is going to call our llmd and see if she can get him minocycline instead, which is a cheaper drug. None of them are working any way so why pay that, right?

Good cloudy morning O fam- Yes Chris day 4 done, I waited to come on until I posted. Today is dental day!! If I had planned ahead I would have gone in for the cleaning with a black tooth! However, I just want to get it done and get home before the storms hit.

Chris - boo!!!!! That sucks about the plans and trying to figure out costs!!! I have another caregiver friend who's going through the same ACA drama, and she desperately needs coverage right now because her abx were $278, and the first round wasn't enough to clear up the infection she had.... but she can't afford another round plus the $75 to even see the doctor! She has celiac like I do, but she isn't as strict with her diet, so her immune system is totally shot.

Phylis - take care of your back!!! have a safe trip!

Laurie - hehe you should have done that!!!! You & Chris stay safe from the storms!

I'm sitting here trying to find mindless busy things to do until it's a reasonable hour to go to work. The guinea pigs don't like being woken up early! I'm super stressed about today, having to come into contact with the woman who's been harassing me for the last two weeks, mostly because I hate that my grandpa has to witness her drama and deal with it. I think I'll take him for PF Changs once we get through seeing her today, he'll like that! Too bad he's a teetotaler and I could really use their ginger mojito after that LOL!

OK... it's 7am... If the piggies are mad at me for turning on the lights in the office, they'll just have to crawl back into their sleeping bags!
 

Happy Halloween O-zies!!! Hope you are all ready for the trick or treaters tonight! I am not expecting too many, it has swindled down in numbers over the past few years. There are many activities and parties for the kids to go to downtown. It's really kind of nice to keep them off the streets! Got all my decorations up yesterday and have no plans today, so I really hope I can get some scrapping done finally today!

Chris - OMG what a nightmare with your healthcare!! I say pack everyone up and head North!! I have never in my life paid to go see a doctor!! Glad that your hair turned out so nice! So fun to spend time with little ones too! Don't feel bad about ranting over your medicare problems, we all need to vent and this is the perfect place to do it!! You kind of have a captive audience here :becky: Love your scary shadow lurker!!

Laurie - WTG day 4 is done!! Wish I would have thought about going to the dentist with a black tooth yesterday!! They would have loved that! A great fun bunch at my dental place and a young female dentist who always has a smile on her face!!

Phylis - Hooray!!!!!!! off to see the Grandmen!! Take photos of their Halloween costumes please! I know that you saw Mason's on my Facebook page, isn't he a cutie!! I sure hope that your back feels better my friend!! I feel your pain!! Sending you gentle hugs and lots of Ibuprofen !! :hug:

I have been trying very hard to get my calendar done for the Aussie clan, so I really haven't had much time for anything else, only halfway done and they leave in three weeks, so I really gotta get this finished! Hope you all have a great Halloween!! :wave:
 
good morning - it is hard for me to believe that a year ago today I was without power. It lasted for 12 days. I know compared to those in NJ that lost everything 12 days is not much but at the time it was cold and dark and even with the generator I wanted the power back. But as they as we are Jersey Strong. It is good that finally kids get back their Halloween. We don't have many but maybe after a two year absence kids will be out this year. Got in a good walk. Heard from my old boss at Merck that he was laid off along with another friend of ours. Very sad.

Chris glad you finally got your hair done and had fun playing. Have fun eating and handy out the candy.

Phylis have fun with the Grandmen!

Laurie congrats on day four and hope the dentist visit goes well.

Meg so sorry you are being harassed. That is no fun for anyone. Hope today goes better and those "pigs" are so cute.

Trudy hope you have a great day. I try never to shop in Walmart but sometimes you just can't do without their great prices.
