Daily Ooos: Thursday, October 27

It's Thursday and I am ready to go!
*shrugs*
Yeah, I am not sure what I have going on - where I am ready to go- either

I got a lot done yesterday so I feel pretty set if I end up not feeling so good tomorrow. I made banana muffins for the family, the kids can grab and go for work. I made a big meatloaf for Scott and Gary. 98% (to be precise haha) of the party supplies are back in the attic finally. I had one more box of stuff that was at my mom's that I grabbed on Tuesday, packed it with the rest of the stuff, and now it's out of sight.
Gary messed up his computer big time- he rewrote over his hard drive by accident. He thinks he will be able to restore most of the files from a backup. He started yesterday and then his computer rebooted overnight and has to start from scratch. Makes me nauseous just thinking about it.
I was a bad mom at dinner. I was bugging Caitlyn for any info she might have about the job search and stressed her out. I felt bad after I saw what I was doing and apologized. It's haaaaard......

Anyway- that was yesterday. I am off to clean today and then get my flu/covid vax this afternoon. I am going to drink lots of water today and maybe that will help keep the side effects in check.

@LSlycord your trip sounds incredible, you saw so many of your family and friends. ♥ I hope you took lots of pictures to scrap. I bet you miss Shaun and home very much too, and they must miss you too. Although I bet Shaun is spoiling the heck out of the girls!

@vickyday You know it, I will have to take photos of the dress and set up a private Gallery link so no one in the family can see it.
I am going to have to look up Quirkle on Amazon, thank you so much for telling me about it. I usually get a game for the family every year. There is another card game I am looking at too- Doombuddies? Crud, I can't remember the name-- I just searched- It is called Doomlings--which seems perfect for my dark humor fam. I might have to get both!
Cait, Gary, and I did two puzzles this past week and started a third. We love puzzles here too

@BrightEyes I love early voting. NJ has vote by mail- and that makes it so easy. I tracked my ballot and it has already been accepted. Keep resting the arm and we will be here when you are all better! miss you!!

@bcgal00 How happy were the dogs when you brought them to the pet store? Did they get lots of treats?
LMK what you thought of the chili, I might like to try that for Gary and Scott.
Sounds like you moved to the perfect area from a photographer's perspective, you will never run out of new and different things to photograph

@Cherylndesigns what a beautiful weather day you must have had! Sunny and 70 is my kind of Autumn day. Too bad we don't get them often. Topped it off with a spa day with your girls ♥ Sounds amazing!

Heading out this morning to spend the day with my dear friends. We will go to lunch and then back to Ilene's for games the rest of the day! Have a wonderful day! It's a beautiful sunshiney day. 56 degrees out and the furnace is running!

Good morning. It's 52 and sunny going up to 66. I'll take that. Yesterday was chilly even though it was close to 70. It definitely feels like fall. Adrienne and I got to giggling yesterday while we were at the nail salon about Casey's translator air pods. I started looking for an app on my phone for a translator but didn't find one that voice recorded, secretly. She's such a stinker - they were all listening while we were talking about the translators it got pretty quiet around us., and she made sure to speak loudly. Hint hint - we're on to them. BWAHAHA I always know when Adrienne is "messing with somebody" because she learned from the master. We always fall right in line with each other. It's a lot of fun.

Chris @faerywings that STINKS about Gary's computer!! That's a sinking feeling when you accidentally overwrite something. I can't imagine how he feels if he overwrote a big program or something. I get sick to my stomach when I occasionally overwrite a file or a layout. I hope he gets it sorted out and his computer doesn't reboot on him again. Sending geek vibes to him.

Good for you for getting so much done yesterday and preparing for the worst. I had no reaction to my flu shot, but I never do. I don't think I'm going to get another covid booster unless I have no choice. They all made me so sick. This year, we could only get the flu shot. We're double boosted and I HOPE that's the last one. I was so sick in the middle of the night and my arm hurt for the longest time. It really messed my arm up!

I'm going to go get me some more tea and put my slipper boots on. My feet are cold - I got up and didn't put anything on them. Oh, I got gel polish on my toes yesterday. First time! They use the light and they're dry immediately. I don't know what possessed me to do it, but they look so nice and will probably stay nice. I got white this time. It didn't cost very much more than a regular polish, so I think I'll keep on getting it. I love that they're dry instantly!

Good morning ladies. Not sure if our power will make it through the day. They expect power outages from the severe winds today. The dogs refused to go outside this morning b/c of the extreme wind howling. Finally Remi went out quickly for what I would call a half pee LOL and Taz not at all. We are supposed to be going out for dinner but that will depend on if the power goes out downtown. So glad I got autumn photos this week. I think a lot of the fall leaves will be blown off the trees today. The snow starts next week, no big dumps, but 1/2-1" here and there. We are in the driest portion of the city (in the grasslands area) so generally won't see as much snow as the other areas but you never know.

Went to Costco yesterday and the price hike of food was very noticeable. I'd say 10-20% on most items. They had bird seed which was half the price of the farm supply store so that was good. Got enough seed to get the birds through the rest of the year. They had a flash sale on pork loin and we bought a huge one to cut into portions and freeze, works out to be $2 a meal. D was thrilled b/c that is one of his fave meats.

@faerywings Good luck with the shots today, hopefully the reaction is minimal. I hope to get mine in a couple of weeks. Waiting to hear about the job is nerve wracking. You know that she knows you mean well.

That's what I do is buy a pork loin and cut it up into meals! It is a pretty good deal!
