The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hey there! How are you doing this morning? I am doing good ATM, but check in with me later. I slept horribly last night. I woke up around 3, and it was awake/light sleep/wide awake rotation for the rest of the night. If I have time for a third cup of coffee, I am going to break my 2-mug rule. I am working on a field trip today with 8th graders. *shudders*
They scare me.
:rotfl:

Yesterday was busy and yay for me, I didn't forget to move the AJ Challenge. I made sure I did that first thing. The rest of the day was a blur. A very boring blur. I finally did a yoga video for the first time since I messed up my wrist. And guess what? It still hurts. pfft.
I was able to find a phone number for the Dept of Taxation, but when Gary called, they said that the staff doesn't have any additional information other than what's available to us on the website. Great. I wonder if our Property Tax Freeze will go through? (We get a freeze on our property taxes because Gary is disabled/low-income.)

i also spoke and texted with my brother several times during the day. The surprise party he is planning for my SIL is gonna bust his brain. My SIL has been in Germany on business for the last 3 weeks- still has one more week to go- and her birthday was the 19th. My nephew thought it would be awesome to throw her a surprise party, but considering he is a 14 yo boy, it's all on my adult brother. Who doesn't have a clue about throwing a party. LOL!!

It should be a fun field trip today, I'm working the Stream Study and Shelter Building rotations.

Hope you all HAGD!!

*broke my 2 mug rule*
:coffee1:

It's really more of a suggestion than a rule
:coffeedrinker:

Ah... what a wonderful night's sleep..
:claphands: Woot!! I'm happy for you! And happy that the dictionaries worked like a charm :)

I had the best time yesterday.
It sounds amazing!! What a wonderful day for you and your nephew. ♥
So they need help with child care. And of course they hate to ask...which I told them to stop that right now. So I'm watching the twins for a few days...I might hit additional sleep goals. :dancingelephant:
I know that it has been difficult with SIL's passing, but being around the kids is helping you, them, and the entire family. Have fun with them and rest when they rest (as if LOL).
Good thoughts and sympathy with your frustration over the health insurance debacle.
I'm heading out this afternoon to a ladies meeting to start planning for our annual xmas dinner buffet (usually 100+). Our xmas house party will be the night after that one. The other date we are waiting to hear about is the seniors ctr dinner, usually about 200, they have a fabulous buffet, cheap drinks and a band.

I feel like the season is going to fly by.
Sounds like non-stop fun! ITA-- the season is going to zooooom by. I decided that I am hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas Day again. Everyone will bring food and it will be easier on everyone to be here.
Thanks for the pinwheel recipe! It will be adaptable and forgiving for all of the dietary variations we have. There is a tub of vegan cream cheese I the fridge that was supposed to be for a recipe, but I can't remember which one. Better use it before it goes bad. I hate throwing food out.
Rise and Shine!!! The sun is up. (sorta) and its time to get this day going! What we gonna do today? Nothing! Yep, a huh, yeah right. Its Wednesday! So yeah, gonna be a busy one. Thankful I am able.
What did you cook for the kids last night? And how are the new helpers doing since that first time when they goofed off a bit? Cracking the whip on them? :whip3:
Thank you so much for what you wrote about your AJ page and experience. That was so sweet and meant a lot to me and the rest of the AJ team :hug3:
Well, it's Thursday morning! I didn't get anything done today except sort through my files to get my pages ready for printing. I fought a headache all day, too. Didn't even get out of my pjs until time to get ready for church! Been working on getting caught up on bike pages after church. It's 12:40 a.m. and I'm going to close out and start the dishwasher and go to bed!
I hope that you slept in late today. Have a fab day, and my fingers are crossed that the headache stays away!

Good morning. I'm up and on the first cup of coffee. Glad I don't follow any stinkin' rules about :coffeescreen:. I have the twins all day and Sydney will come home after work. So the day will be a full one. But anytime it is full of family, I'm grateful! My cousin's daughter only lives a couple of miles from us now, so after she and her son went to trunk or treat last night, they stopped to see the dinosaurs in our front yard. He is 6 and I had made him a bag of give away items related to dinosaurs. A dinosaur candy bracelet, dinosaur tattoos, dinosaur egg that you get to break apart like an archaeologist with a little tool and discover the dinosaur inside, dinosaur veggie/fruit sauce. He loved it. So that was great fun for me!

Well, let me swing over to personals for a minute. Then I need to get ready for the day.

Oh my goodness...I hope that we don't see you in here for a long while this morning. That is a very late night! I've never been much for late at night...always did better if I got up early instead. Hope a good night's sleep took care of that headache.

Health insurance is stupid. It is too complicated. Simplify it. Where did my soapbox go?!!

We don't have ours planned yet. We haven't been here in 6 years for the holidays...so not sure how that will work. Lots of grown kids with families of their own and in-laws and would have had Angie to help figure that out. Well, we will be flexible...which causes Sydney to be greatly annoyed. I told our kids that we will have a regular Thanksgiving and Christmas...and we will just see who else comes or how many we have. She may get her attitude from her mother...but I'm learning to be flexible. :rolleyes1:

See you all tomorrow...with stories I'm sure.

Well, if the Stream Study is for the 8th graders, it's probably a good thing that your water tables are low! ;). Have a great day!

Well, lately, 7:45 IS a sleep-in, LOL! The headache is lingering, but I can function, at least!

Thanks! If I can get 6 hours I'm usually good to go. So the 7:45 rise is good. Even though the headache is lingering. It's not too bad today. Thank the Lord!

Good Morning,
Getting ready to leave in a bit to pick up my order from Kohl's that I have forgotten about the last couple of days. I ordered a long sleeve nightie. The last one (a short sleeve) was so stretchy that the neck always ended up under my boobs! So I got rid of it! We shall see how this one does! Hopefully the material is totally different, LOL!

I think I will visit Ilene today, if she is available, since we will be gone most of the week next week visiting with my son in Alabama.

Other than that, more plans to work on bike pages and get them uploaded and ready for whenever Persnickety has a sale on that size! I have 115 pages pre-ordered for my 12x12's. I've been uploading them so I can do one big order, hopefully, before the end of the year so I only have to pay the flat rate shipping! I decided it might be safer to "store" my pages there since I had my EHD crash a year ago and lost all of my scrapbooking stuff! Still bummed when I think about it!

OK. Gotta get dressed and out of the house!
Have a great day!

Goooood Morning!!!!!!

f I have time for a third cup of coffee, I am going to break my 2-mug rule. I am working on a field trip today with 8th graders. *shudders*

Skip coffee, go for vodka :floorlaugh:

Dinner was Shepards Pie, salad and chocolate chip cookies. The girls are doing wonderful. They've been amazing since we had our meeting of the minds.

My AJ page came to mind the moment I read your wrap up. I thought what better risk did I take that relates to the O and all Ive one. Well, AJ was it and because of all the amazing mentors there it was the best experience ever. :heartpumppink:

Quick drive by. Honey do list is long today! LOL. Have a great day.

Another good night's sleep... although I did wake up a few times during the night, looked at the clock and went right back to sleep. Think it is time to switch over to long sleeve PJs as I was cold during the night. I have some lighter weight long sleeve PJs that should be about right for this in-between-weather.

I was up... showered :showering2: and dressed early. Had rain and lighting/thunder storm just after I got into the shower... so it was a quick in and out! The rain stopped just before I left on my errands. Arrived at MVD early and they were not busy so got my driver's license earlier than my appointment. dance3 Stopped at the grocery store and picked up a few things... like coffee creamer (I used the last I had in my coffee this morning). Plus some fresh fruits and veggies... and a fried half chicken. Will fix some cubed potatoes and salad to go with the chicken for supper tonight. Have lots of apples so thinking I might make Apple Brown Betty desert, too. Have a tub of vanilla ice cream that would be a perfect topper. Yummy!! Yep... my appetite is getting closer to normal. :)

Getting geared up for October Color Play next week... Oct 31 - Nov 3... Can't wait to play with some of them.

Now that the covid rash has cleared up... I really should get my Flu shot. It is a question of getting it early next week or waiting until Nov 4 or later. Will see how I feel next week.

Was to the hospital yesterday. I had some tests that was a bit high, and the dr wanted we to have an ultrasound of my liver. Turns out I have the beginnig of "fat liver" ... I have no idea if that's the correct English word for it. This morning I signed up for a year of Weight Watchers. Again. I want those tests GO DOWN.

It's kind of funny ... I know so many people who have serious problems with alcohol. And now I [MilitantTeetotallerTM] is the one getting liver problems. Life ain't fair!

I need to get more fiber into my diet. And less sugar. And less fat. Less of everything that's good. Life ain't fair....
