My apologies, I am feeling so tired and cranky. I am beside myself with this insomnia and my dreams are weirder and weirder.
Last night, I dreamed that Caitlyn and I were sitting on a bus bench at one of the other Disney hotels, next to Chris Christie. (Former Governor of NJ, friend of DT. I am *not* a fan). In my dream, I knew he had COVID and I was giving him B-12 vitamins to make him feel better. I know exactly where all of this came from. My friend posted a photo of her DD in Disney. I had read that Christie was out of the hospital from COVID and Gary had asked me if we had B-12s in the house. How my manic brain managed to squish these all together...:noidea:
I started waking up at 2.30 and pretty much drained the battery on my iPod listening to deep sleep meditations from them on.

At least my house is a bit cleaner today so that is a plus. My bank account is much smaller so I guess that evens out. Hahaha!! I really thought that I would be able to start cleaning again by now. Yet the bills keep on piling up. :mmph:

Scott had a nice time away, said they didn't do anything but that it was nice just relax somewhere different. He didn't get the job but is fine with that. He feels that he now knows that he is more qualified than he originally thought and will keep looking for jobs closer to home.
The weather looks nice today so my plan is to do some autumn clean up out there. Soak up some sun. Maybe give myself a bit of a mood boost. I hope so, you can tell that I need it.

HAGD!!

Kay- I am so sorry that your computer is still in the shop and that the laptop is giving you issues. I have trouble with the kids ask me to do something on their laptops since they don't use a mouse and Gary uses a trackball. I end up hitting the wrong keys and the touchpad. Cases are up in NJ too :( Be safe when you do have to leave the house.

Trudy- I am so darn jealous of you being able to get out for a hike and then to be able to go swimming again, you haven't been able to do that since March?
That is sweet and sad about your MIL being so appreciative.

Nancy- I always worry about dogs that get loose, so scared they are going to get hit, high fives to getting the pup back home safely.
No way would I want to go back in time just on health and hygiene issues :D

Rae- Happy anniversary!
What a mess to have the basement flood.
Were you able to get a scrap page done and not hurt your back? Does the kneeling chair affect your knees at all?

Cheryl- I feel like the grump yelling about "they don't make things like they used to" but it is true. They really don't. Thanks for the details on your family tree!

hugs to all of you!

good morning - yesterday was lovely. I got a walk in after the grocery store and on it I saw 3 deer and one of my favorite birds a white breasted nuthatch. He is so cute. Saw a golden retriever sleeping in the sun as his owner sat on the steps working on her computer. How sweet. Also saw a tree being taken down and that always makes me sad especially when it was not rotten. I know the wind and stuff scares people with tall trees but always makes me sad to see another tree gone. Finally our taxes are done and sent in. My DH just hates doing it and hates getting the stuff together for our accountant. We paid the money in July and he way over paid so we get money back. We never get money back. LOL. I guess we all have things we just hate to do. Today is gorgeous and probably the last for a while. Blue skies and into the 70s. Will walk after lunch as it will be a tad warmer. My son said the cutest thing. His MG is an Irish lass and all the family will have names with Mc so they are calling themselves McMorins. I love that. What a sweet way to combine themselves. Watched baseball and some exciting games but not sure who I am cheering for just wanting exciting games.

Chris that is wonderful that Scott had a good time in PA. Sorry about the job though. I feel though that the process has given him a new found confidence. How great is that. I have been having strange dreams too. Mine was birdwatching on a raft down a river that was boiling hot but had cool water too. Saw a bald eagle twirling in the sky. The leader fell in the river and had to be rescued. I think the hot river was from seeing the article of a young boy in Yellowstone who fell into a hot springs and had bad burns. So sad the reality. He was just running along a path tripped and fell in. Enjoy the weather!

Trudy that is so awesome that you get to go swimming and hiking. Hope you had a great hike! Glad that Thanksgiving went so well. Hope your MIL hears only good news from the doctors.

Kay hope the laptop becomes easier to use. Long nails are a bother.

Cheryl thanks so much for the family update. I guess you have gone from hurricanes to tornadoes. Luckily home building to withstand tornadoes has so improved. I had not heard of pole homes nor Rag Doll cats. Thanks for the info I love learning something new.

Rae that is terrible about the basement flooding! Six feet is a lot of water. Glad you had the wet vac. Don't feel too bad you could not help you had always done a lot for your family. I hope that you get some reimbursement for this flooding.

Waving to all.
Have a great day!

Hey ladies... I am very late getting in here today, but I have been super busy!! Got a face time call from Heather and Hunter and we had a nice long chat! Then off to the hairdresser to get my cut and colour, it feels so much better! Back home for some lunch and then made a turkey pie and next is to make banana mini loaves for my DH's lunch. I will freeze the turkey pie so that I have it for the future for my Gary. Looking everywhere for a kickboard for my swimming as we are not allowed to use the pool's equipment, of course none to be found locally. I ended up ordering one online from Sportschek. I really wanted to be able to buy local, but no such luck :mmph: Anyway I really need to get busy and get a page done for one of the challenges, so I will get busy with that this afternoon.

Chris - I am sorry that you are having weird dreams again, my goodness your brain just took everything from your entire day and squished it into a dream LOL. Hope that you sleep much better tonight! I do hope that you can get back to cleaning also, but with the rise in cases (and that is happening everywhere!). It might not be happening for a bit yet and yes those darn bills keep piling up don't they!! I am truly sorry that Scott did not get the job, but it is good that he is ok with it and now realizes that he is more qualified than he thought he was! I wish that you could come and join me on my hikes! We are truly blessed to be living here and able to be out hiking even during the winter months!

Nancy - What lovely walks with Luther you have! You see so many great things! On our hike on Wednesday a fellow hiker showed me a video of a cougar chasing down a young elk right outside her front door YIKES!! Cougars are usually not that fond of being anywhere around people, but I guess he was hungry and he found his dinner. So cute that your son and DIL will be called McMorins LOL !! You had a pretty strange dream too, so funny that our brains think about all that has happened during our days and combines them into a dream at night.

Ok off to open up my photoshop, hope I still remember how to use it LOL its been way too long!

Happy Friday, ladies. It feels so good to come in and chat with you all. I feel like I'm finally getting my head above water (ha ha...shouldn't joke about that after our little flood). The floors are drying out nicely. This wkend D will shampoo the carpet in the laundry room and put his rubber mats back down in the garage.

Chris - my kneeling chair does hurt my shins if I don't move around so I change my position a bit throughout the day and then I'm fine. It is helping a lot with my back. I find I am much less sore by the end of the day. But even better, I can't wait to go one full day without pain. I sat on the back steps yesterday for 5 minutes and took a few bird photos, by sitting and resting my elbows on my knees to support the camera. That felt so good to get out and take a few photos. Didn't push myself though b/c I have to be very careful not to aggravate the back and make anything worse. I still can't walk without pain but that day will come. I've been doing my strengthening exercises every day and feel my core getting stronger which will help my back.

Nancy - about the flood, I didn't mean 6' deep, I meant six feet across the laundry room/bathroom floor but only an inch or so deep, so D was able to wet vac it up.

Trudy - I remember using a kickboard at the pool when I went for exercises. I really enjoyed that. At some point I might start going to the pool again.

I'm getting to work now so better get off the computer. I try to get lots done in the morning while the pain level is lower and then can slowly ease off during the afternoon. Glad it's almost the wkend :) BFN
