Good morning, O-zies! Hope that everyone is doing fantastic today.

Who has been waiting patiently to hear my good news? I was hoping that I would have everything more concrete and done but I have a couple of things to share.
Scott brought his new car home yesterday and sheesh, it is nice. Big and clean and rides super smoothly even in the back seat. He is most excited about the roof rack and trailer hitch, I was most excited about the safety features. So that was one good thing. The second good thing is that he and Sam went on their third date last night. That was the deal they had with each other, no labels, no official relationship until the third date. Who is counting that their third date came after months of them doing everything together? haha! Unless she broke up with him last night, Scott officially has a girlfriend. I was hoping this part of the news would have been definite by now but no luck, but his job/promotion is slowly creeping forward. The commissioners need to vote on the creation of the new position/hiring but Scott's boss said that all of the hard parts are done.
That's just Scott's good news, I have two small things for Caitlyn. Her interview is set for next Tuesday and the Grapevine says that she has a good chance there. And, she is officially a Licenced Social Worker!!

I am off to clean this morning and then I want to do my nails for the party.
Good day to be inside, it's damp and rainy today.

@LSlycord mmm, that omelet sounds amazing, I love me some good Brie... everything else sounds good too. I could make that into a quiche and eat it for dinner. hahaha!! Shaun cracks me up with his bacon photo.
I am the exact same way as your dad, once I am on the road heading home, it's straight through, no stops... Hope you had a wonderful getaway!

@bcgal00 That is soo cool, you are going to love having a telescope. Scott has one but hasn't taken it out in a long time. My niece takes really cool pics with hers using her iPhone.

Good morning all! @faerywings I have been waiting for your news. I had guessed that it might be Scott's job, or Cait's interview but I didn't have the Sam and Scott thing on my radar at all. Although I had thought about posting that I was still Team Sam last week...but then decided to just wait patiently! All very excellent news! And I'm very excited abut Scott's new car as well! It sounds like it will be perfect!

I know, Linda, it is exciting for the two of them.

Scott was working at the ecology center on Tuesday and gets no cell service there. He was on his way home and gets all of these messages from the Park Ranger boss, the car salesman, and Sam. He was laughing that those 20 minutes of phone calls and texts were some of the most stressful and consequential of his life-- all crammed together. Girlfriend, career, and a big financial purchase all at once! ROTFLMAO!!

Good morning. We are home and I'd like to say that I am going to spend the day getting caught up but that is definitely NOT in the cards. While I was looking at the beautiful autumn leaves, I got a call for an interview on Monday morning at 8:00 a.m. So, today, the recruiter wants to do an interview prep with me at 9:30. Ok...although the interviews are never a problem.

Then Brian and I are taking Syd's car back to her, taking her to lunch and looking at apartments today. It sounds like a group of 4 of them have decided to room together so we will see how that turns out.

And, I got my new iPhone while I was out of town so I need to take that to get it set up. If we get back early enough, I'll include that in all of my "today" errands.

Now to try and get caught up a bit on the personals over the last couple of days. My iPad was overheating and not working quite right. It's old but I'm not sure that I can justify a new one. Hopefully, it was just cranky...like me!

@Cherylndesigns I hope that you got some rest and that you are feeling better. And I love how determined all of you were to find a place to celebrate B's birthday! It's crazy how many restaurants are working on shortened hours now.

@bcgal00 I am loving your nature pictures. Your composition is amazing. And I thought of you and Trudy so much while we were out hiking. Some of the trails had some very uneven steps and I'm thinking about getting a walking stick. Of course, don't really need one for the beach. LOL Anxious for you to get the results of your MRI.

@vickyday when is your Bible conference? That sounds so nice!

@tanteva I hope that you are feeling well and haven't gotten the bug that the rest of your co-workers and Urban caught.

The Bible Conference is next Monday - Wednesday. It is hosted by the Shepherd Church in Cary, NC. The pastor there is Steven Davies. He has a program on Christian Radio. The conference follows different themes every year. This year it is on Christian Ethics. It originated as a Church Leader's conference and I began attending it with my pastor husband several years ago. It is such a wonderful conference that I wanted to continue attending even after Tim died. Well, Mark was more than willing to attend also! And he is one of our church leaders, too, even if not in a pastoral/deacon/teacher role. He leads the singing (even though he has no musical talent/training whatsoever!) and takes care of the announcements and introductions when we have visiting preachers when the pastor is absent. And if he is physically able (he has a lot of headaches like I do, but he has migraines!) and the doors of the church are open, he is there! Ours is a small church with an older congregation. The children and grandchildren raised in the church are all gone! It is so sad! Mostly they have stopped going to church altogether. Makes my heart hurt!

I get so aggravated when I go grocery shopping anymore. It seems the items that are the main reason for going shopping in the first place are never available, even when they are part of the specials of the week! That was the case yesterday! Put a chink in my menu plans and I had to go another route altogether! GRRR!!!
However, the meal, followed by our Bible study, was wonderful! I am a sermon note-taker, so I loved having a table to lay my Bible and notebook on! I began taking notes several years ago because my mind wonders and it helps me pay attention! I love it!

Good morning, lovelies.

I'm back - and feeling much better this morning. I feel like I came out of a tunnel. I don't get this way very often and when I do, it scares me. Some of the others have been sick with one thing or another and I was afraid I was getting some bug but knew I was definitely fighting something off. I get crabby when I'm fighting something. I did get some cleaning done, I made myself clean my desk. I took everything off of it - even my laptop and gave it a good spray down and then a light polish. That definitely made me feel better. My desk is white and it's so pretty when it's sparkling clean. I got a load of clothes done, too. Oh, I threw some stuff away that I didn't need anymore and put away the clutter that accumulates in my office. Anyway, my kookiness is about half, but I'm glad you missed it, Chris @faerywings

Sounds like Scott's new SUV is great - good that it rides so nicely and I'm sure he's most thrilled with the rack on the top. LOL Keeping my fingers and toes crossed that he and Sam become Team Sam and that the grapevine has it right about Cait's job!! Can't believe you're getting ready for the party already. Time to partay!!!

Linda, @LSlycord your excursion sounds like it was wonderful and now I'm hungry reading about the food you ate. Good luck finding an apartment - I think that sounds like so much fun. Yes, it was a real adventure finding a place to eat the other night. We were about ready to swing through Micky D's. LOL Braden said he was so hungry that he didn't care and that would have been our end game if that one little place hadn't been open. We're definitely going back there again, it was that good.

Casey is coming to clean today - boy the time sure does fly! It's been two weeks already. I'm so glad I worked through my funk yesterday and got some of my stuff picked up. She always laughs when she comes to clean and sees my desk all white and sparkly.

Good Morning!
Rainy here again today. That's OK. We need the rain! It hasn't stopped the Red-bellied woodpecker and other birds from going to the feeders, which I love! The nectar I fixed for the hummingbirds 2 weeks ago is still there, so I would say they are officially gone for the winter. I need to take it down as the nectar is starting to mold.

Nothing much in the works today. I need to do some more scanning. I'm beginning to see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel! Hallelujah!!!!

Hey! I believe the sun is popping it's head out around some of the clouds! I need to go capture a few pictures and get something for my growling belly!

Today is our anniversary but no dinner out b/c Jen chipped her tooth and is going into Vancouver to have it repaired and get her cleaning done at the same time, so we are watching Bella. We won't go for dinner and leave the dogs home b/c Bella has been having separation anxiety so until we get that under better control it's best to not leave her here for long. So instead we'll all get in the car and head out for a drive this afternoon and grab lunch somewhere along the way.

@faerywings Glad S is happy with his new truck. Glad him and Sam are working out and its official now. I am team Scott and she better know what a great catch she has. Your son (and daughter) are amazing and deserve all good things in life. Fingers crossed for C's interview. I bet your nails will look lovely! Yes, D is going to get a telescope that he can take iPhone photos from. That will be cool to see. We'll wait until we get back from our mini holiday to Vancouver to see Elton John next week b/c we don't want amazon delivering while we are away but I'm pretty sure he'll be ordering it as soon as we get back home.

Happy anniversary and sorry to hear that Jen chipped her tooth. UGH At least she can get in to get it fixed. Our Lab (who we lost a few years ago) jumped up and knocked a chip in my front tooth while we were playing catch. Ouch!

Tim and I always wondered why the Lord didn't send Mark a wife because he is such a great guy! Well, I guess we know the answer to that question now!

I can relate sort of. Darrell and I had each been married, had mutual friends, each thought the other was great but it wasn't until 4 years after his separation and a year after mine that we decided to try dating. 25 yrs later we are still married so I guess it worked out
