Good Thursday to you all! (Why do I only seem to notice how dusty my keyboard is when I am using it? I know it is because I look at my fingers when I am typing but why don't I care at other times? :eek:hwell: )

I was very lucky yesterday that the sun came out and it was actually nice outside. After taking J to the vet and paying bills, I needed a session of dirt therapy. Sadly, I don't get the same effects from doing fall cleanup as I do in the spring but at least I was out in the fresh air. I got drizzled on a bit with some sun showers but nothing that made me go inside.
There was nothing wrong with J's foot. It is red but no swelling, no infection, she isn't limping. So basically a lot of money for nothing. Guess it's better than $$ and then an infection and needing meds.

Lots of rain today and then it is going to drop about 20* tomorrow. That makes me very happy that I was able to get out in the yard yesterday. I am not going to be happy when it is cold.
Today I am going to do work around the house and then I am hopefully off to clean this afternoon.

Jean- weather.com was wrong so we will continue on having your weather a day after. Storms and colder weather is on tap. Hope you had a relaxing day and stayed dry.

Rae- It must be hard knowing that B was triggered but at least you were expecting it and hopefully the staff there is better equipped to handle the mood shifts. My coffee mug irritates the arthritis in my pinky too. I don't know if I would trust myself with a handle-less mug, however. I tend to drop things LOL Hope that yours works well.

Felis- hi!!! So nice to see you!
I am so sorry that I don't remember what I said that is adding to your disappointment. I hope that I am not keeping you away from here. :(
Trudy handles a lot of the coupon codes so she might be best able to help you.

Morning ladies... I hate to rub it in but it is another sunny lovely fall day here! I need to get out in my garden and get things done before the rainy cold months begin. Yesterdays hike was spectacular, it was a really tough one, but the views at the top were so worth the effort! My legs are stiff and sore this morning, but that's ok it means I got the excercise that I needed :becky: I grabbed a ride to the hike with my brother and SIL and later we did some shopping before heading home, just a quick pop into Costco for them and I got dropped off at the Micheals store for a few items I was looking for. Then home and they stayed for a glass of wine and a visit with my Gary, it was such a nice day! In the evening we popped over to the hospital for a visit with MIL, she was admitted to hospital on Tuesday evening with pneumonia it is in one lung and it sounds like everything will be fine, but she needs to stay in hospital until Saturday. I will go up to see her again on Friday with SIL Linda and Aunt Betty.

Chris - I am happy that you got to be outside and get some dirt therapy, it isn't quite the same as being out in the springtime, but at least its better than nothing right? It is good that J is ok and nothing wrong with the foot, but that sucks that you had to spend $$ to find that out! Hopefully you will get to clean today and earn that $$ back. Sounds like the cooler weather is on its way for you, darn it! Get out your warm sweaters and socks, hopefully the sunshine comes along with the cooler temps and you can at least enjoy the sun! Did Gary get the missing items for his new pump? How on earth can they send him one with missing items :mmph:

Jean - How did your meeting go? I bet it was interesting! Sorry to hear that storms are coming your way hopefully you have at least one more day of sunny skies!

Rae - I hope your visit goes well with B today! A long drive for you, but I know you will be happy to see her in a better facility! Too bad she was moody for her transition, hopefully she will be happier to see your lovely face again and it will improve her mood! Glad you found your mug before it got sent to VV! Sorry that your finger is still hurting you so much!

Felis - I hope that you will soon feel more like scrapping and joining us here again! So nice that you want to share your coupon with someone else, that is Rae's coupon code so you will have to Pm her to find out what she can do for you.

Ok I am facetiming with Heather and Hunter, so better go. Have a great day everyone!

good late morning - I am back. I am slowly getting my time zone reset. My sister and I came in yesterday afternoon. Wow I used global entry for customs coming back into the US. It took us two mins because we had not done it before but there was no one waiting. We bye-passed so many people. Got our bags before more of the others on the plane have even cleared customs. We then have to turn in the receipt after we got our bag and again there was no one in our line LOL. We were out so fast and no hassles. OMgosh I cant recommend it enough. Then I helped my sister get to her airlines which was in a different terminal but we did great. She got off and I taxied home. But wow we were sweating bullets that we would make our connection. We were supposed to connect in Stockholm to go home. Well the 7:30 am flight left on time, the 8:30 flight left on time, then our flight was delayed an hour. We were lucky though as there were about 20 others who were connecting to go to Newark. So they got us a bus and to us to the gate. Customs in Sweden was look at passport and ask how long you had been in the country. And of course the plane was at the gate furthest. But again because of others we made it. Whew. Luther was happy to see me. Luther and I had a nice walk this am before the rain came. Tonight is the Devils home opener so I am excited. This rain is the pits.

Chris glad that J is ok. I just am glad that tomorrow it should be sunny. Cool as it is fall but I need to see some sun!

I will catch up with you all tomorrow.

We didn't have so much storms but a little rain and now much cooler, cloudy and windy. So glad we don't have to worry about the hurricane! The genealogy group was small yesterday but we had a lady who hadn't come in a long time and we had fun getting her info and finding some records for her.

Chris, well you had to take J in to find out if there was a problem even though it's not nice is was $$ and nothing wrong. Saw your Anna Lift Alaska and love it. Do you know where the photos were taken?

Trudy, love the story of your day yesterday! From a fabulous hike to shopping and time with wine and family is just sounds great. Hope MIL get better quickly.

Nancy, welcome home! Wow, that must have been a worry to make your connection. Good thing there were a lot of you together. Sounds like you're a traveling pro with getting global entry and short lines. (I don't even know what that is! :?)

Rae, good luck with traffic going to see B. She will be happy to see you.

Felis, I also don't know what you mean about what Chris said. Wish you would come back, but not feeling as you do now I suppose.

Good morning, ladies. Yesterday sure was busy. I had a lot of desk work and then left in the afternoon to go see B. It took about 1.5 hrs to drive, park and walk over to her building. I did have to ask 2 people to help though b/c I couldn't find her building. Didn't get home til close to 10 and had a scoop of nut butter and honey and a few pork rinds for a late dinner. Taz also ate late b/c he had come with me. So of course he woke me up at 2:30 to go to the bathroom...ugh.

This morning D asked what I wanted to do for our anniversary tomorrow, I choked on my coffee and said sorry....it had completely gone out of my head. I'm feeling a bit drained and have so much to do that I just want to stay home, have an easy dinner and relax in the evening. I don't want to go out to a restaurant or anything. I will pick D up a nice dessert tomorrow and maybe try another dish in the pressure cooker. I've got a pressure cooker and have started using it a bit now. So I've decided for my birthday (in a few wks) I want an instant pot. Depending on which model you get, they do 7-9 different functions, one of them being pressure cooking. It is the most popular and there are so many forums and recipes for them. I like the idea of just following an IP recipe and not having to convert it for the cooker I have now. I figure if I have two then I can do some batch cooking with both. I made a tenderloin last week that was so good and easy.

B was triggering a lot yesterday but we had some laughs too. She can see outside, all the people walking by and wants to go out there. The staff want us to take her out but we're going to wait a bit b/c we're terrified she will run. They said that most people run and then come back, and usually at that point become more compliant about escaping, but if not then they call the police. WTH??? No short term memory, no proper rational thinking process, etc and paranoia and fear. There's no way she should be lost and scared out there on her own. Not sure how much this facility will help, we'll see.

I sent a message off to Felis. I was sad to hear she didn't want the challenge coupon and asked if we could talk more. So hopefully I will hear back from her soon.

Chris - glad that the vet visit was good news. Sucks that a vet visit was money spent but at least not more money was needed to be spent. I'm off to the vet at lunchtime today for T's flea chews and nail clipping.

Trudy - sounds like a great day yesterday. Glad your MIL should recover and be out out of the hospital soon.

Nancy - welcome back, you jetsetter! I can only imagine how much fun it was and all the photos you must have taken! Bet Luther was thrilled to see you.

Jean - how nice to see a member that hadn't been in awhile.

I'd better get to work and do some wedding editing later today. The sun is shining and I'm looking forward to a lunchtime walk with Taz along the river. Hope you all have a great day!
