Happy Thursday my deari-o's! How are all of you on this fine albeit it windy and cold morning in NJ? The sun is going to come out today-- finally after several days of clouds and rain. But it going to be staying cold and we even have frost warnings. I still have tomatoes ripening on the vines, I hope they make it.
Yesterday I was Faery Homemaker. I made apple pie with crust from scratch. I was disappointed, i tried a new recipe and it was not even close to as good a crust as the one I usually make. Best pie crust ever-- Martha Stewart's. Super flaky and butttery. If anyone is interested, I can post the recipe.
I also made homemade broccoli cheddar soup for dinner with biscuits (Pillsbury, not home made, but oh well, they were still good LOL). Yum yum!!
I also got great news from the school re: Scott- Mid term Progress reports came out and he got 1 C, 3 B's and 3 A's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I guess the Lyme is not affecting his cognition as bad either. I am thrilled for him- he must have been feeling good about it too, b/c he took a picture of it with his cell and texted it to my in the morning.
For those who might not know, Scott has had a horrible time in school - the Lyme affected his memory, organizational skills and attention ad well as all of the physical stuff, so this news is just amazing!!
I better get going, I have stuff to do around the house before I get the kids to the bus.
Love you all!!!
