GooooOOd Morning, O-zies!! How are you all today?

I survived yesterday with very little sleep the night before. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can do the same today. The best thing I did for myself-- I put on the Hamilton Soundtrack and then some Green Day. I was going to listen to Rent but it wasn't on my iPod so I am going to set that up for my listening pleasure today.

For the most part, I puttered much of the day, cleaning, laundry, worked on a puzzle. I made a broccoli rabe spaghetti frittata for dinner which was really good but it needed lots of salt. I made a big batch of white rice so I can make fried rice for tonight.

Today I am going to steam clean the rugs. (yeah, again...) I had thought that I was going to do it yesterday but it was much more energy-requiring than what I had in me. I also need to call my parents- my mom knew to stay away yesterday and my dad made the mistake of calling me on Tuesday when I yelled at him about democracy on the top of my lungs. My goodness, he should know better too! We have been emailing each other so it is all good. *wipes sweat from brow*

I am off to make sure that Cait is out of bed, she hasn't been sleeping well either and she has a packed day of meetings and classes.

love to all of you!! xo

Cait is awake and snuggling with W. That little brown dog is the snuggliest and none of us can take it, she is so cute. Well. Correction: I can't take it when she insists on sleeping like a human between Gary and me and I end up clinging to the side of the bed for dear life all night. :pound:

Kay- I am glad that you got some sleep and naps in to help you feel more rested. I am jealous of people that can nap. Every time I try, I end up feeling much worse.
BTDT trying to scrounge up batteries!
Our weather is similar- we should be near, maybe slightly over 60* so a good day to do the carpets. Hope that you were able to get your errands done quickly.

Trudy- how was the weather for your hike, did your hands do ok?
I am going to start looking around for the heaters, I have a feeling that my parents or my ILs would be ok with it as an early gift if it means they get to see the grandkids ;)
Did you end up finishing the calendar page? I prefer to finish my pages all at once but ITA, sometimes a break from it helps. I hope it worked for you!

Ugh, Kay!! You aren't having any luck with your computers and devices. :(

Cheryl- there are times that I should literally tape my mouth shut (like when I was on the phone with my dad the other day hahahahahaha!!!!!) but it would hurt.
I was having such a tough time with my pillowcase last night- it was all wrinkled up and I couldn't get it smoothed out since W was on top of it. As soon as post this, I am off to look at your album. I am so darn happy that you are sharing this with us!

Rae- Oh my!!!! What fab news about Noel!! I am sending hugs and love and healthy appetite vibes.
( hugs and love to you and Jen, love and a healthy appetite to Noel in case that wasn't clear. :p )
yay!!! I am so relieved! Give him some more pets and head scratches from me!!

Have a wonderful day!!

Good morning O-zies!! It is another cloudy grey morning, but I think it is supposed to clear up a bit this afternoon. Yesterday's hike/walk was simply beautiful and everyone kept saying who knew that there were so many lovely trails in the rural section of Duncan?? I was so busy ohhing and awwing that I forgot to take any photos :mmph: Oh well perhaps I will get my Gary to do this one again with me. The fall colours were amazing although the leaves are falling quickly and soon they will be done. The weather cooperated for us and there was even sunshine! It got a bit windy, but that was ok as we had our lunch alongside the river, so pretty! I have made a new friend that hikes with our group and she is just so much fun to talk with. A couple of months ago she started picking my brain about Keto. Well she has since lost almost 30lbs and she looks amazing! She tells everyone that it is all because of me and she is so grateful that I helped her get started. I tell her it was all her!! I just pointed her in the right direction LOL. Anyway we chatted so much that we did not pay much attention to where exactly we going, just followed the leader, so I hope I can find my way if Gary and I ever do this walk. LOL. Today will be a scrapping day for me as I work on my Calendar and get a page done for the challenges! I am bound and determined to get a layout done today! I shouldn't say anything, because something always comes up to ruin my plans :mmph: I need to start my grocery shopping on line at some point and other than that my day is pretty good!

Chris - I am happy that you were able to stay away from the news for the most part, how nice to listen to all of the great music to keep your mind occupied. Sounds like you got lots accomplished yesterday! My hands were fine on my hike, it was really very warm 18C which is almost 65F so I was good, in fact I was a bit too warm, but dressed in layers so I kept discarding clothing LOL. We all were surprised at how the weather turned out as it was supposed to be so rainy. We had no rain at all. Sorry you have to steam clean the rugs again. That is too bad that you yelled at your Dad, but guess he should have known not to go there with you! Hope you have a better conversation with them today! I will keep my fingers crossed for you that you find a great deal on a heater!

Kay - Oh my goodness, you really are having a terrible time with all of your computers! Perhaps its time to bite the bullet and get a whole new system with all the bells and whistles?? It would be a great Christmas gift from all of your family - hint, hint LOL.

Cheryl - Thanks for sharing your pics!! The granite looks amazing and so do all of the other photos! You look so happy in your little piece of paradise!!

Rae - What wonderful news you have shared about Noel! Sending you all a big hug and hope that things continue to be well with your little fur baby! How nice to get some positive news for a change!

Well I suppose I should grab a second cup of coffee and get ready for my face time chat with Heather and Hunter this morning. I wonder what books we will read today?? He is doing so well with going to pre-school these days, no more tears thank goodness! Have a lovely day everyone!

Hi Everyone,

Chris, you're doing better than me, I keep drifting back to my favorite news reports . . . Music is such a better alternative.

Trudy we're kind of cloudy and overcast today as well, and cold, up from the twenties into the thirties, so some improvement. Should be back in the sixties for the coming weekend when my son and I will head back out with his drone and our cameras. Our fall is basically gone, so not sure what we'll be videoing, but sure we'll find something.

Oh gosh, Kay. I do hope you can get your computer problems sorted and all running well for you. Trudy had a great idea about a new computer system for a Christmas gift!!

Cheryl, I too loved your pics. What a beautiful place and the granite is gorgeous.

Rae, so good to hear your happy news. Got an email from a dear friend this morning, saying they had to let one of their precious pups go a couple of days ago. It was and is so hard for them and especially the pup that's left behind. I have severe allergies and can't have pets. As much as I'd love to have several, I simply could not bare the thought of losing one of them.

I hope it's okay to share my son's video he uploaded this morning. We shot it the last two weekends we were out. We didn't have much of a fall this year, with all the rain and wind, the leaves mostly fell, didn't stay on the trees long. He calls me his director, as I see the good shots and then he videos, some with his drone and some with his camera. Some of these, leaves and pine cones, you can tell I staged. LOL He's just learning all of this, so it's not professional, but I think he's doing an incredible job for a beginner. I'm thrilled we have the love of photography/video in common. I find this one to be both peaceful and uplifting. It will give you an idea of what I do on my weekends. https://youtu.be/cgM36pSf2_M

Wishing everyone a wonderful Thursday!! ♥

Good afternoon, Ozies!! I have to start out by saying that I'm delightfully listening to Betty Jo's sons video (I'm not watching it anymore, but it's playing in the background). It's just wonderful!! Betty Jo, thanks for sharing it!

Chris, you made me giggle about taping your mouth shut. I can picture it - I hope my "cork in the mouth" image made you giggle, too.

Rae, such good news about Noel. He's such a sweetie.

I'm SO happy that you are all enjoying my pictures!! I LOVE sharing this journey and so happy that I've been documenting it for almost 3 years now. Thank you all for sharing my happiness!

Betty Jo - I've added your son's video to my playlist and favorited and followed him. I'll be listing to his compilations a lot from now on! I signed up for anything new that he posts. You must be quite a team to end up with this wonderful production!

Hugs and love to all and I hope everybody has a good day. We have to go into the "big city" today - LOL. All one main road of it. BWAHAHA

Good afternoon, ladies.

Chris - ha ha I know about clinging to the side of the bed with a sleeping dog LOL. For a little dog, Taz can hog a lot of bed.

Noel is eating lots and playing, being very alert. So for now he has a reprieve...yay.

Cheryl - how exciting about the house!

Trudy - forgot to take photos??? How dare you LOL. How nice to be able to help out your new friend with food advice. Isn't it funny that I started so many on the road to paleo/keto and now I have transitioned over to plant based/vegan. Enjoy the facetime with the family.

Betty Jo - I saw the video and it is just wonderful! What a beautiful location and that fog on the water is so dreamy looking.

I'm getting out for a few pics in the yard and then taking Taz out for a short walk and will bring my camera. BFN

Rae, that's such good news that Noel is eating - that's a very good sign! Give him a hug from me - I always said that if they're eating and drinking, that was a good sign.

Cheryl, thank you so much for taking a look at Chris' video and following. We appreciate that so much. He works full time so we only have a couple days to shoot and it takes tons of clips for a few minutes of video. In some of the videos you'll see a lady with white hair; that would be me. :) My DIL sings beautifully, so later in December when she's off work (her job is seasonal), we'll start filming music videos for her. Chris and I work well together and respect each other's ideas and opinions. It's a lot of fun in my senior years.

This is so exciting, Betty Jo! I can't wait to hear your DIL's contributions. My granddaughter and I work together on lots of projects, so this especially warms my heart. I'll look forward to getting all of his/your updates. I hear you about having fun in our senior years - I'm having a ball with my grandkids and love getting creative with Ava (oldest GD). We're very lucky, aren't we?

Ava's pictures are in my album a lot. We just love spending time together.
