I am a little later than usual today, I was able to set my alarm for 6 am instead of 5. Caitlyn has no school today or tomorrow for NJ Teachers' Convention. AKA New Jersey Week at Disney World. They get off the first Thurs and Fri of November every year, so it is a great time to get away. It was 5 years ago that we took them out of school for an extra day or so when we we last able to go to Disney. In some ways it feels like forever ago, but in others I can close my eyes and feel like we were just there.
Yesterday was a gorgeous day, I think we hit 70* I wish I could have spent the whole day outside but I did get out for about an hour with the dogs. I have more vines to pull down on the patio but I needed a ladder to get to them. There are still more way out of my reach so I will leave them for Gary to deal with.
I also got a couple of pages done yesterday too. One for my IL's book, one almost done for that too. And then I had to play with some stuff from our new designer NBK
HeatherT's shop is also open so check that all out!
Lots and lots of new goodies in the store, I could have scrapped all day!
No plans for today, except to get ready for tomorrow's LLMD appt for the kids. Always fun. /snark. Thankfully, being with my mom helps to break it up a bit. My dad is going to take Cait's car for inspection while we are gone. And my uncle from CA is out visiting so we will see him for b-fast. It has been years since I saw him last. He is my dad's younger brother and it is funny how they are so much alike, even though they rarely see each other. They moved to SF area when I was really little, so prob around 40 years ago.
I am also debating when I should call the healthcare.gov Marketplace. You need to reapply every year and since this past year was a nightmare of epic proportions, I think it might be better to call, rather than apply online. But man, I really do NOT want to deal with it. I still have time, open enrollment is through Dec. Maybe next week will be better to do this. *procrastinator*
Today is Guy Fawkes day but it is also something even better :
Do your hubby's or SO's or male kids cook at all? Gary makes an amazing penne and vodka, and is the king of omelets. Scott also makes good omelets and an eggplant pasta dish- that maybe I can get him to cook again now that he is not working.
But for the most part, I do most of the cooking. I hope some of you are lucky to have men that cook more often
Have a great day!

Today is Guy Fawkes day but it is also something even better :
Today is National Men Make Dinner Day! This holiday is dedicated to all the wonderful men in the world who don't cook on a regular basis. It serves as their opportunity to step up to the plate and try their hand in the kitchen! For the men who do spend ample time in the kitchen, you can submit your best recipe on the National Men Make Dinner website!
There are several official rules for National Men Make Dinner Day. These include no grilling, no take-out, and no dishes left in the sink. The man must use a recipe that involves at least four ingredients and a cooking utensil other than a fork. Check out the full list of rules and other interesting information about this humorous national holiday!
