The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Sorry I am late! The kids are home from school- Teacher's Convention- and we are going to be heading off to my mom's in a couple of hours. I am looking fwd to getting away from a bit.
I had to call her and ask if she still wanted my germy family. I have Caitlyn's cold now. I took some benadryl yesterday and took a 2 hour nap. My client called first thing in the morning. her son was home sick so she had to cancel. Stinks b/c now I am losing 2 days pay, yesterday for her, today for my MIL. But I think it is life's way of telling me I needed to rest.

I am still not able to make that appt with the hospital. I think I am going to call the regular scheduling dept and see if I can get the Dec. 16th appt and then keep my fingers crossed that they can move it up somehow. At least I'll have something.
I know the stress of waiting is getting to me. I had a dream last night that I was sitting in a room, waiting for chemo and no one would tell me anything.

Linda W-- oh you poor thing- so sorry that you are feeling yucky. germ free hugs!

Kat- hmm... a book... all I'd need to do is copy and paste everything I have written in the Daily Ooo's the last few years. Of course, I would need my computer to actually let me c&p. ;)

Clara- neener neener back to you!
Oh once you see el Cid- you are going to LOVE it!!! And Cyn too :)
I am still saving pennies for Oct 2010!

Elisa- shoelaces- that had me rotf!!
Hope that your blue mood passes quickly. I know the best cure for me is to come on over here to the O- its almost like the happiness comes off my screen and cheers me up. Or makes me spit coffee on my monitor. Sometimes, both!

Andrea-- wooot girl!! You rock!!! You are one smart cookie- and you did those papers being sick. Yay!!!

Linda W- how in the world can you like C e Cheese??? Ahhhh!!!!!! Adn LOL about the photos- did I ever tell you all the story of the time my SIL took our 3 kids to get photos done for MIL/FIL for C-mas? When Caitlyn stuck pretzels up her nose?
Some days I wonder why I had any kids at all. LOL

Linda P- It makes me so happy to see ya here in the Ooo's again! love what you said about the JD/honey :)
Good luck with the kids and their contest!

I am going to try to pop back in before I leave. But if not, I'll be back home on Sat.

Have fun with DSD week!!!

Hey girls!!
Just wanted to check in and say hello...Ive been so MIA for a while and I have no good excuse other than life!!! I dont know how people like Sally, or Tali or others with multiple kids do it....i have a hard enough time juggling just 1 child and household!! My husband does work alot but still...everyone has these issues!! UGH!

Last week my computer absolutely bit the dust! It was 8 years old so, rightfully so, but...it was awful and i just about had the shakes waiting almost 1 whole week for a new one! Thansfully my husband agreed its a very important neccesity and we went out and bought a new machine! so excited to have it! We got a 23 inch widescreen monitor too, which is AWESOME when doing stuff in photoshop!

So...other than that, not much new here, Nico is getting very big and with getting big comes a little bit of...shall we say.....sometimes-crankiness???? like he wants to test me alot? and give me trouble about small things like not wanting to sit in the cart at the grocery store or not wanting to sit in his seat at the dinner table......Its\ can get frustrating but what can I say? hes happy and healthy so I shouldnt complain!

well girls im off to work on a calendar I am making for a Christmas gift for In-laws and my mom......Talk to you all soon!! Enjoy the day ladies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

always chatty at the O!!
KELLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh my gosh!!! I have missed you girlie!!!! Nico is getting big. I just saw on FB that you lost your computer. You don't realize how attached you are until someone takes it away and then it is like you are gasping for air. It is horrible how attached we are to these pieces of machinery. I need to start working on a calendar also. I have been pretty bad about that. Need to get on that.

So, Linda's LO just cracks me up. I absolutely love it. I had no idea about it and I was on the phone last night talking to a friend of mine and came across it. My poor friend we were in the middle of talking about something, nothing important but I was just all of a sudden non-existant but in absolute hysterics and he's trying to figure out what the heck I am laughing about and I couldn't even speak. I am just glad I wasn't drinking anything because it would have been everywhere. Hilarious.

So, voting on Tuesday. We had a big one on the ballots. Referendum 71 or something like that. It was to give domestic partners that were either same sex or couples that had one partner over the age of 62 some of the same right as married couples in cases of illness and using sick time, grievance time, unemployment, etc as married couples. It was a very close vote and it passed by a very narrow margin of 52%. The Seattle area is a very liberal area and I expected it to pass but did not expect it to be that close. The Seattle Mayoral race was within 500 votes. I don't live in Seattle so I don't know if it was Rep vs. Dem. If it was I am especially surprised because of how liberal Seattle is. Things might be changing in this area. People in the Seattle area tend to be close minded in a liberal way. It is weird. Not everybody, of course, but a lot of people. It is just interesting watching the shift in the NW. Andrea...you would be surprised.

So, that is the world up here. Tonight is piano lessons so a busy night. I have to go grocery shopping this weekend. I realized we have no easy to cook food in our house. Eeeek. I need to do some meal planning and shopping. Blah!! Not excited about that.

Well, how about some personals...

Chris - Let me grab you by the shoulders and shake that worry right out of you. You might be a bit dizzy when I am done and need to lie down. I'm sorry they are being big butt heads. I am not a fan of that. Just get the appointment and then annoy them until they give you something better. But get yourself in there first. Having a crappy appt is better than having no appt. I hope you enjoy your break up at your parents. That stinks your parents live more than a minute away but I'm glad you have a place far enough away to be able to run away to. Oh and yesterday about the ex??? What the heck?? Cut him off!! Weird. Totally weird.

LindaW - We've missed you. Stinky about being sick. I'm glad your daughter took over babysitting duties. I'm glad that they step in when you need a break for whatever reason. Makes me happy to know that they don't take advantage and know when you need some help. That is too funny about the reaction the photo session. I hate chaos like that. It makes me insane. Unbelievably insane. I cannot get through that kind of thing if I don't take my meds. I am so glad to have you back. WAIT...did you say you love that horrible mouse place??? are you insane?? WOW!! I have a whole new level of respect for you. I think a grandma invented that place to torture her own children. Another place that I can only go for very short periods if I have taken my meds methodically for a week. You are crazy.

Kat - isn't that LO the best? it cracked me up. I hope you had a great day!!!

LindaP - I hope you feel no illnesses coming on and if you do try the LindaW concoction so that like you said either you feel better or you don't care that you are sick.

I'll chat later guys!!

Thanks for all your postitive thoughts for our contests today. The kids did amazingly well. Just perfectly as a matter of fact. Well enough to keep them excited and make them feel like they accomplished something but not so good that they feel that they can get lazy and not work. We have districts in a week an a half and that's the qualifier for the state contests.
Chris - no more dreams like that! Try to relax and not worry. I know it's much easier said than done. But hoping it helps anyway:)
Linda W - I have to go check out this lo that folks are talking about.....
Kelly - the new computer sounds fabulous! Have fun with it~!
Clara - looks and sounds like it was an interesting election. Bet you are glad it is over! I'm glad that we didn't have any campaigns or big elections this year here!

Have a wonderful day all!

Hey kids. I finally made it today. I see our Miss Linda W is feeling better, and has been a whirlwind around the gallery leaving nice comments. Thanks!
Well, today all I did was some schoolwork, and then I had to make an appointment for a physical for Gen, so I got that done. Made an appointment for Atha's parent/teacher conference. That's about it. It feels like more. Oh, I was on the phone for awhile talking to my family about that terrible Fort Hood incident. My heart goes out to all of those involved, not the least of which is the family of the shooter. It's shocking to me that it was soldier against soldier violence. With everything they have to worry about, you'd hope they could trust each other. Lots of prayers here.
Oh, and I also did some scrapping today. Whoo hoo! Finally worked with Merkee's awesome Changing kit again. That kit rules. I made a layout with it when I was sick for her current challenge, and I have to say I hate it. It is BORING! Maybe I'll take the pictures and re-tool it.

Anyway, that's about all I have for you today. Big hugs!!
