It is officially winter.
I know, I still have plenty of time before that is true - it just *feels* that way. It sure doesn't help that the thermostat is an hour behind (I guess we never switched in ahead in the spring DST change). No point in changing it since it will be correct again in a few days. By the time I figure how to adjust the time, it will be time to switch it again. hahaha!

I am back to not sleeping and I am beyond bleary today. I was moving so slowly when I was cleaning yesterday. When I got home, I was trying to figure out what my best plan of attack was and I decided to surrender. *nods* I scrapped a page, finished crocheting the second glove, and heated leftovers for dinner. Now I am behind on things I need to do today but I have all day to do that. I need my list. I have a few things on it but need to focus on getting it all written down.

I need more coffee but I am so tired that my stomach is queasy. You ever get that feeling? I am not sure if coffee is the best way to go or if I should wait until I eat some breakfast. Too tired to eat breakfast...

Gary told me something potentially interesting... hmm, I wonder if this could work?
He had to get a new insulin pump last month and had the new one running with water not insulin (it is one of those blood glucose auto-monitoring ones and he didn't want to have to go on manual so he rigged it so he could use the old pump and fake-used the new one with water.)
Long and convoluted story even longer and more convoluted--
he said that you can put any liquid into the pump itself-- maybe I should see if he has an old pump and I can load it up with coffee?

That^^ was such a waste of mental energy.
I think I am losing it...
I neeeeeeeed sleeeeeeeep!

:D

Love and hugs to you!

@tanteva How are you and Urban feeling today? You both got hit so hard with the cold. It sounds like what Cheryl had last spring. She was really sick from that too. Glad to hear that you didn't have work hours this week so you can focus on resting up.
I get that with the theme "family." I am very lucky that my fam is easy to scrap. I remember when I was teaching Preschool and parents would let me know when we were talking about families-- "don't ask about dad/mom/etc"
I tried really hard to be aware of non-nuclear family situations and this was well before it was as common to have non-trad families.
Your family history pages are always fascinating- and free of foul language LOL
I feel that meme. Deeply. And pathetically. LOL

@taxed4ever good for you going on the hike, I hope that the rain helped off, and if not, I know you would be prepared.
I actually use bleach very rarely since it is bad for the septic, mostly only when we wash the rats' hammocks. Gary uses it in the basement. I used to use all green/eco-friendly cleaners but now I use whatever is on sale or available at the FP. Natural/organic/etc is so expensive. :( I used to be so much more conscious of that stuff, very rarely used chemicals for cleaning, for health care. I will get back to that way -- someday -- Although I should stay that I love using vinegar to clean. Cheap and no chemicals!

@tjscraps How did the fight with Amazon go? It seems there is no rhyme or reason with that site. We have had the easiest times or the most frustrating experiences with their CS. And ya never, ever know which it is going to be.

@bcgal00 Yikes-- 30% higher prices... does that translate to 30% more faery tears in the grocery store? :D Glad that D is was doing better once he ate

Kay- Whew, that was nice that you were able to get the renewed without an appt.
My dad's a Nov birthday too-- Nov 10
Glad to hear that you have been sleeping better

@Cherylndesigns NJs election was a nail-biter.
So excited to hear about Ava's shop.
I want spring tooooooooo

I am Cancer (Sun/Moon/Rising sign). Let's just say... I am classic Cancer. Emotional homebody with that tough exterior and nothing but mush inside. hahahaha!!!!

Real quick in and out this morning. Heading to the base for Rx refill pick-up and grocery shopping this morning.

Had a rough day yesterday... a dear friend from when our kids were in high school passed away. We were "the Group's" Moms who hosted most of their get-togethers/parties (every week) at either her house or mine. We lived right across the street from each other. Although we ended up living in different areas, we kept in touch through the years. I will miss her so much. I scrapped a 'In Memory' page of her and posted it on FB not only for me but for her family.

Good Morning everyone! Another very, very rainy morning! I am so glad that the rain held off until the end of our hike yesterday! It did try to sprinkle a bit, but we were under the canopy of trees on a beautiful trail, so it never really got us wet at all. I forgot to take my camera along with me, but it was a lovely hike with lots of little creeks and beautiful arbutus trees, there were a few viewpoints, but it was so overcast that we really could not see much of the view. A tough climb to the top of Maple Mountain, but it sure was great to get out in the fresh crisp air and get some much needed exercise! I am so glad that I went! Went for a coffee with my friend from the hiking group afterwards and then home to soak in the tub and take the chill off of my bones. The damp air sure goes right through the body. Then I got supper ready to go and enjoyed a glass of wine with DH before dinner. I was out like a light by 9:30 LOL. Today is catch up day with all of the things that I have on go. Scrapping has been put on back burner, but sure hope to get back to it soon! I can't believe that I am not working on my Calendar and really starting to panic about if I will get it done in time for Christmas  .

@faerywings - Chris I hear ya on how expensive it is to buy anything that is good for us! The world needs to be green, but they make it impossible for most of us to be that way! Vinegar is a great and inexpensive cleaner for sure! Sorry to hear that you are not sleeping well again, it sucks!! Seems cruel that we get to the age when we don't have to wake up early and can sleep as long as we want, then our bodies/brain won't let us!! :(. I hope that you have a better night tonight and that you get your list written out and are able to check off everything on it!

Kay - I am so sad for you that you lost a dear friend! Sending you gentle hugs and my deepest condolences! I saw your beautiful page on facebook and I am sure that the family will be so pleased with it! A lovely tribute to your friend! (((hugs))). I hope your day is filled with lovely memories of her!

@tjscraps - Hope you manage to get your item returned to Amazon! I have never had an issue with them so far. Keeping my fingers crossed that I never do. Hope you don't have too busy of a work day today!

@bcgal00 - did you manage to get out for a walk with the dogs yesterday? Hope the rain held off for you too, but ya I bet there are large mud puddles everywhere for them to play in and get filthy dirty LOL. It will be nice for you to have some time off of work during the Christmas Season. Yikes that is coming up really fast! Ok back to panic mode again LOL.

@Cherylndesigns - Ugh election results!!! I hate elections LOL don't like any of the people running in the elections in Canada, seems they are all a bunch of crooks that never keep their promises. The tags that Ava made sound lovely and how fun to be able to work with her when her big order comes in! The shop looks amazing!

@tantevea- I sure hope that the two of you are feeling so much better today!

Ok its time for more coffee and then get busy with my morning chores before Heather calls. Boys will both be home with her tomorrow as it is a Pro D day for their school. She might not have time to call then. They sure keep her busy! She really enjoys her days alone during the week. Have a good Thursday everyone, stay dry!

@faerywings Hope today is a better day for you. An insulin pump with coffee....yes....sign me up! Coffee is the only thing that keeps me going some mornings. It sounds like the price hikes are all over the place, some things 10% and others as high as 30% as we feel the effects of COVID that disrupted production, delivery, etc of retail goods and food. Maybe it won't be so bad in the US, this was the prediction for Canada.
@BrightEyes So sorry to hear about the loss of your friend.
@taxed4ever Glad the weather cooperated and you didn't get poured on like I did. It started raining when I got to the park and then stopped when we left. The dogs didn't care, they had fun. It wasn't too bad, I had on rain gear, I just forget to wear a jacket with a hood so my hair got soaked. We survived and they were happy.

So glad its Thursday and only today and tomorrow for work. I really am getting bad, not wanting to work much anymore (but I still want a pay cheque LOL). I need to finish editing for sure by this wkend. I don't think I'll do many portrait sessions, I enjoy taking my own photos and scrapping, I don't want to photograph for others much anymore.

I'm going to blend up a spicy tofu mayo mix today and see how I like it. I will drizzle that over rice/greens/beans/peppers/cauli for dinner and tomorrow will drizzle it over potatoes, veggies and eggs. It'll be change from the hummus based sauce I usually make.

I'm getting a coffee and getting some CT work done before starting work. Talk later.

We are both better today. But ... still a bit tired and sore throat. Urban took the coughing this time, so I didn't have to ... LOL He'll be home the whole week. But next week ... we are healthy and happy again.

Been catching up today, but I'm not sure I have everything under control. Brain's a bit foggy still. And I have NO inspiration to scrap. Downloaded some stuff, hoping to find mojo. October's Fab Friday was really something! Right?! I know I say it every month, but I really liked this Fab Friday.

If anyone finds my mojo - I want it back immediately.

Good afternoon all.

Kay, @BrightEyes I'm so sorry for your loss. Sending you lots of comforting cyber hugs.

Chris @faerywings yes that NJ race was a nail biter.

Nothing exciting much - I got a LO done for one of my CT's - that was my excitement for the day. Adrienne and I are going for pedis. We haven't been for so long - but I can't do my own. I always cut my toes and get polish all over them. In Florida, we lived in flip flops so we went regularly - here, not so much. It's a necessity now, not vanity. LOL If I could do my own, I would. At least I don't have to get gels anymore.

Waving to everybody.

Funny enough we got a refund and didn't even send it back yet. The left hand isn't talking to the right hand there

It's been such a busy day it's 8:10 pm and this is the first time I've been able to check in here!!!
