Hey hey hey!!
How are you all doing? I am good to go with the day/date. It actually feels like a Thursday. (Exactly what a "Thursday" feels like-- meh-- not a clue LOL)
All I know is that I am not as confused this morning as I was about everything yesterday. Which is ironic because when I looked at my to-do list from yesterday, I ignored the majority of it and now have twice as much stuff to work on today.
No idea what I am doing day to day/minute to minute.

#dk
I can see from my post yesterday that I am still in that loop. heh

The one good thing I did that made me happy yesterday was that I finished a LO for Vicky's 52 inspirations challenge and I love it. When I posted it on my FB page, I not-so-secretly hope that the other people (barf) see it since my profile is Public. I guess there will always be a part of my heart that is broken and angry and a teeny bit vengeful. As long as it stays small, it's ok. Compared to how of the rails I was at them last year, I'd say that is quite the accomplishment. ;)

My "big" plan for today - aside from catching up on the things I ignored yesterday- is to put plastic on the windows. I need to make sympathy cards for my SIL and her mom. Gary is making pizzas for dinner so I don't have to cook. (whew!)
That's it!

Wishing everyone a fantastic day!

@LSlycord I know you know today is Thursday! Tell Syd we all said congrats on her cert ♥
Any time you need to fill out gov't paperwork, it is a full day of chaos. I got out reapplication paperwork for our heating assistance and I can't submit it until I know if Caitlyn has the job. It's been staring at me and stressing me out for the last week. I need a month's worth of paystubs so I am not even sure if I am going to make the deadlines.
Good luck getting all of the SS stuff done- you would think that they should have some automatic application for it since it's all connected to your SS number.
That is funny that you can't get pork tenderloins in FL must have been nice to enjoy a taste of IA in FL

@Cherylndesigns I guess it is a good thing that most holidays are not the biggest events for me, other than Christmas. That is the one that is going to be an issue. A *big* issue LOL The irony of Scott being with Sam now is that she also doesn't like Christmas so this year is going to be different... (backstory: Leah didn't like it because she is Jewish and her dad passed on Christmas, Sam doesn't like it now because she and her brother shared their b-day on the 26th)
How sweet of Casey to bring you a bottle of local wine! I don't blame you for wanting to hide at Adrienne's, if I was in a mood I wouldn't want to have to listen to an 11 yo chatter on either even if I loved her.

@bcgal00 Did you get everything done that you wanted to? It must have been nice to be home for the day, you haven't had that in a while.
I remember now a little about Them, it came out a while ago, can't remember why we never watched it.

Some bushes/plants you cut back in the fall, some in the spring, and others as soon as they are done flowering. As to which ones are which, I never can remember. I love being helpful :D

@vickyday
Stop the loop by taking a nap! ;)
That would make it worse, naps make me feel awful! I wish I could take a nap but oh man, they *wreck* me
That is what is difefrent abotu Rae's avatar-- glasses!!! Bwuahahah, I couldn't for the life of me figure it out!
I am wearing readers more and more often, not sure that's a good thing. My contacts are multi-focal but it is harder to read and do anything close up so I am wearing readers on top of them. I can't/won't give up contacts so hopefully, that isn't a problem.

hugs!

Sooo ... I'm home, no work until the 17th. At least as far as I know. The boss have been talking to the people in charge of personnel in the city (libraries are public in Sweden) and they had to do some checking, but it seems I'm not so close to my "work limit" after all. There might be more job for me soon. Yay! I love my work, and boy, do we need the money!

Sooo ... what do I do now that I have all this extra time? Do I clean my poor house that's been neglected for weeks? Do I deal with all the decluttering plans I've made? Do I do all the ironing that's been piling up? Do I scrap 2 million layouts a day???? Well ..... no. :D I just found that one of the streaming services we have, just added Medium. Yes, that wonderful show with Patricia Arquette. One of my favorite shows, and I've only seen it on Youtube before ... Imagine how great it looks on TV! Finished 1 1/2 season already. Love it!

Fun thing: I was sitting on the sofa, watching an episode and knitting on my scarf, when there was a knock on the door. Like 3-4 tappings in a row. I paused the TV, got up and opened the door. No one there! LOL The perks of living in a haunted house. Guess he wants me to do something meaningful instead of watching TV. I'm sure he thinks I'm the worst house wife ever.

Leftovers for dinner today. Not sure really what, but I have some rice we need to eat. Maybe some fry up or something.

Good morning! You are so right, @faerywings I knew it was Thursday the minute that I woke up. We are going to check out an apartment this afternoon. It is the one that her friends have decided to go with. She isn't crazy about it...definitely need to take the bus to get to campus. Otherwise you have an hour walk. Where she is now, she goes back to her room if she has a few hours between classes but won't be doing that. It is a 4 bedroom, 4 bath and the parking is free...quite a bit less expensive because of the distance to campus. But the 4th bedroom doesn't have a window. So no way out which freaks me out. They played a dice game or something and Syd lost so she gets the bedroom without the window. She really wants our opinion before she submits the application...so I guess we will provide that today.

Other than that, I got the Social Security paperwork submitted so that was a big step. Didn't make it to get Shaun a new phone because he had a field trip for his environmental science class. I guess that is now a weekend activity.

Need to go hop in the shower and get ready for my big day. LOL It's 3 hours of driving for probably 3 hours with her. I'll take it. And Brian finally feels well so he can come with. I won't see her again until the Sunday before Thanksgiving. I'm driving down there to take a pie baking class with her. We will get our pie dough ready for Thanksgiving. Then, we have 5 days over Thanksgiving although I have a feeling that she will need to get back early to work on group projects. Shaun's semester ends 5 weeks from tomorrow and Sydney's ends in 6. Wow, that has flown!

Been a busy week... saw Primary Care doc on Monday. Said I was doing the right things by keeping the right arm mobile but avoiding stress on it. On Tuesday I got my drivers license renewed - only took about 15 minutes!! Have a bone density scan tomorrow. Cold front coming in today with a possibility of snow and much colder tomorrow. I managed to scrap a LO for Karen Schulz Use It All challenge. So glad I have saved extracted images in the past as I can't manage to do them now with the bad arm/hand. I am really enjoying reading 'The Other' series by Anne Bishop... got all but 1 of them from the public library. And got 7 more DVDs from the Friendship used book store on Tuesday. Yesterday, I watched "Beyond the Sea" (about Bobby Darin's life with Kevin Spacey)... great movie and loved the music. The shop is having a buy one get one free sale on Saturday so will be going back to get a few more DVDs and maybe a few books.
No personals for awhile but I read the posts and thinking of you all.

Good morning, all.

I'm up early - can't sleep. I got up once, took some potassium for my legs and laid back down, but I'm done. You are always on here, so it's my still groggy go-to place.

Chris @faerywings I need to go look at your layout. It sounds intriguing. OM Gosh - it IS Thursday!! I swear, I thought it was Wednesday. UGH, here I go again, too. Chuck and I were trying to figure out why we were so messed up on our days and we think it's because Casey was supposed to come Monday and she had to change it to Tuesday. LOL When I read your post, I took my cursor down to the time on my laptop to make sure you weren't messing with Linda. Hahaha

Linda, glad you ran the SS gauntlet - I'm with Chris, you'd think they would have streamlined that process a little bit better by now. Hope the new apartment meets with your approval. I wouldn't like a bedroom w/o a window either and legally, I think it has to have a window to be considered a bedroom. Unless they figure you can ingress and egress out the door. Hopefully, it has a closet. That's the other component. Can you tell I was in real estate? Hahaha

Tanteva - that knock on the door - does that happen often? Did you start doing something after that? Oh, I loved that show Medium! We watched it when it was on TV, originally and couldn't wait until the next week when it was on! She had that old clunker car when the show first started, and they got her a new GMC Terrain. I fell in love with that SUV and I've had 3 of them since! Just a funny memory about that show and her car.

Well, I'd better go get me some tea. I'm wide awake now. Happy THURSDAY everybody!

@Cherylndesigns It's the first time he's knocked on the door. But he's here alright! I see him at times, absolutely harmless. He just loved living here, and he's coming to check the house from time to time. Once a door that's really hard to open, just opened by itself, right beside me. I forced Urban to check EVERYTHING in that room, cuz I was convinced Anders (that's the ghost's name) was warning us about something. LOL I really should scrap that.

Today is friend day! I will pick Carolyn up on the way to Ilene's. We will go to lunch, stop at the grocery store on the way back to Ilene's and then play Qwirkle the rest of the day!
I'll try to get back in here later today!
Have a good day, All!

You really should scrap about Anders. My daughter and sil just built this new home and it's haunted! They have doors that open and close by themselves and the other night all of their electric candles came on. They're hard to turn on - you have to flip a switch underneath. They don't just "come on". Their TV fell off the wall at 4 am last week, too. I told them the only thing I could figure was what the house was built on. Have you heard of ghosts in newly built homes? We live on the same property and have had no feelings or sightings.

Good morning ladies. I'm heading out in a bit with D for a trip to Vernon (about 1.5 hrs away). He gets his testing done there today. They didn't book him in at Kamloops b/c it would have been a few more months of waiting. I've never been to Vernon so will enjoy the drive and will stop to grab a few quick pics along the way. We'll leave the dogs home with Jen and they will only be alone for a few hrs between her leaving for work and us returning around dinner time. We get our first snowfall tonight. Then by the end of the wkend we should have a few inches in the higher areas so not sure if that will be us or not. Winter is here, it's only 18 now with a high of 37. Next week the high is only in the 20's...brrrr. It will take some getting used to. Yesterday on my photo walk I was freezing and the wind was brutal. I was chilled for a few hrs after I got back. Jen got her flu/4th booster yesterday and felt sick last night so we didn't watch "Them". We'll save it now until the wkend.

@faerywings Saw the LO on FB and commented, so lovely. Readers work so much better for the computer than my other glasses that are both for near and far sighted but seem to suck for the in-between. I wish I could wear contacts but they dry my eyes out.

I'd better go, have to shower and get dressed and want to spend a bit of time with the dogs before we go out for the day. HAGD everyone.

Well, yes I actually have heard about that. It was on a show on TV, and according to the medium on the show, there had been another building on the same ground as the new built one, and the ghost was a bit confused that the rooms weren't the same. Tell your daughter to try and say to the ghost that she knows they're there and tell them that they can share the space. Often they just want to make sure we know they are there, and once you acknowledge their presence, they stop messing about.

That's a great idea, Eva. I'll pass that along. The only ghost encounter I've ever had was when we lived in Michigan. My deceased grandfather used to visit and whenever he did, I smelled cigarette smoke. He smoked like a chimney and one day I got angry and said, "Poppy, I don't care if you're here, but you can't smoke in my house!". I never smelled cigarette smoke again, but I don't think he left. Our house was not new, though. That makes sense that some other structure was built on their site. We live in the Cherokee Nation so I'm sure there are lots of Spirits around here.
