GooooOd morning and a happy Thursday to all. And a very Happy Thanksgiving to everyone too.
I know that I say this every year, but I am truly thankful for each and every one of you- and that includes the lurkers who perhaps smile at my family's crazy antics. <3

I am going to post this sort of quickly, or at least as quickly as the Faery can do. Ya know she ends up blabbering a lot. hee hee!!!
I am actually in a lot of pain, and my back isn't letting me find a comfortable position. I was very stupid (as usual) yesterday and did not listen to my body when it said *stop* at 1 pm. I kept going until 4 pm and then had to cook dinner which was homemade carnival squash soup. Scott brought home these squashes from work a week or so ago and I wanted to cook them before they went bad. He doesn't like soups and I had planned to make that on a night he was working at the restaurant. I roasted them earlier in the day so I ended up not having a choice but to finish the recipe. It came out really good FWIW :p

The easiest part of the day was raking leaves with my dad. We have such a good system together and we had the yard pretty clear in an hour or so. But you all know me, I had started cleaning the house before he got here, then kept on cleaning until 4. The DR and LR are mostly all polished and vacuumed, the kitchen wasn't too bad since I cleaned it really well before I started making the F-W's stuff but the floor needed a good mopping. Dusted a bit of my office, scrubbed toilets and mopped bathroom floors. Made dessert for today. Any wonder why I hurt? :fish:

Today should be relatively calm until we have to leave for my brother's at 1. I am starting to dread going, I get this way every Thanksgiving but this time is a bit worse. My brother is having 19 people. I am not good with people. That isn't entirely true, I am good with people that I know but my SIL's family from Maine will be down and I could tell you the last time that I saw them. Probably for SIL's mom's funeral which was years ago. At least I get to see Christopher who really makes my heart smile!

Better post this and get on to personals.xoxoxo!!!!!!!!!!

Trudy- when I took a break here and there yesterday, I popped on to see what your secret was and I had a feeling that I knew it. Congrats to you and Heather!!!!!!! So happy for you! How many grands are you up to now? How is she feeling? Please don't make me do the math if her Due Date is July 3, how far along is she? 8-9 weeks? Tell her that I said congrats and am sending hugs!
yes, congrats on the Anna News too. :) Part of me is jealous, and part of me knows that even if she ever did ask me, I would never be able to make it on her team. Really proud of you.

I had a really weird dream last night and I can't remember now what it was about but I remember waking up *really* angry and thinking that I would share with you guys. Oh, well!

Nancy- how was the game last night, bet you had a great time as always. Did you survive the grocery store trip? Poor Brendan has to work today until 3pm. They used to be open until 12 but got complaints that they closed too early. I feel terrible for the people who have to go in for "Black Friday on Thursday" even more. It is just wrong.
The weather up here was much nicer than it had been so while I was cold the wind wasn't as bad.

Rae- I hope that you got everything done that you needed to do. Good luck with the border crossing and that you sail through.
So get this, the only thing wrong with the computer was the graphics card. Gary was trying to get them to just send the card, and we would send the wrong card back. They wouldn't do it. They are shipping a new computer and we have to ship the wrong computer back. Wouldn't it have made more sense to ship something small and light?
Good thoughts to your noisy computer!

Jean- isn't it nice to come here and read good things. I know I do more than my share of ranting, but news of babies and puppies is always nice. :)
Were you friends with Grace Hopper? She must have been a wonderful role model either way.
Enjoy your day with your husband. Do you have any birding trip planned together?

Good morning all... its :rain: again today, but saw last night that all of the ski resorts are celebrating with a huge amount of snowfall over the past day or so. Glad that my kiddos will be able to enjoy the wonderful ski/snowboarding season this year! Isaac and Sadie both learned how to ski a couple of years ago, but the sking in Cold Lake is now where near as great as on Mt Washington! Such a beautiful spot! No where near as cold either! Looking forward to seeing them all again this weekend, it will be so great to have a birthday party with my Son once more!

Chris - Oh my goodness girl, you did do a lot yesterday!! No wonder your back is rebelling against you! Nice that you and your Dad got to spend some time together raking! I would do anything to have 5 more mins. with my Dad!! Thanks for the congrats for Heather! Your math is correct she is 8 weeks 3days according to the Ultra Scan. Now how can they figure out the days?? This will be grand baby No. 4 for us, we are thrilled, and I suppose that I will be spending the better part of the summer in Ontario with Heather, Mason and Jonah helping them to get all settled in with the new one. Heather asked if I would come out to help and of course how could I refuse. It will be a big adjustment for Mason too as he is not used to sharing his Mommy and his toys LOL! He will be 4 yrs old by the time the baby comes, so hopefully he will be a big help to his Mommy!! We will see. I hope you have a great time with your brother and all of your family for Thanksgiving! Its a lot of people, but try to remain calm and just enjoy being with your family!

Nancy - I bet you had fun at the Devils game last night! We watched as your Devils beat the Leafs 5-4 !! Thanks for the congrats on making Anna's team, it is fun to be creating with all of her goodies! Hope you enjoyed her latest class!! Hoping that the sky is still nice and blue for your walk today with Luther!

Rae - Hope the border crossing was not as crazy as you think it would be! Glad that you are getting away for the weekend and hope that you have a great time shopping for Black Friday! I wish that we lived closer to the border, but getting over to the mainland is just to much $$'s to justify going! We love our little Island and try not to take that darn ferry unless it is absolutely necessary!! Hope you managed to get all caught up with work before you left!

Off to swimming today, no Skype with Heather and Mason as he is at Play School today, giving his Mommy a break and a chance for her to get some cleaning and shopping done. Have a wonderful Thursday ladies!

good morning and Happy Thanksgiving to those in the US. We are going to the in-laws and we have all our goodies ready to go. My son did not want to do anything but he went to the store and found two really nice cheese platters so he was so happy LOL. My grocery shopping was a fiasco. I got everything and up to the register only to realize I left my wallet at home. So I had to go home and the go back out again. The good thing was I went to a different store and they had my Diet DP which the other store did not. Still though I was so mad. Then my son texts me to say he is sick and cannot go to the game and my DIL says she is going early as she and her brother are doing a season ticket holder perk so she will be in early. I txt my DH to see if he will go and he never answers my txt or my son's txt so I assume he is not going. Then I am waiting at the train station and he calls and says he will go. So my DIL has my son's ticket so she goes down to will call to leave the ticket but it gets misplaced and they have to print out a new ticket. Finally he gets to the seat only to see My Devils give up 3 goals in the first period and I was not a happy camper. But then in the 2nd period my Devils tied the score only to give up a goal so at the end of 2 score was 4-3. But my Devils tied it up in the 3rd and won 5-4 in a SO. It was a great way to end the day.

Chris I think anyone would be sore with all that your accomplished yesterday! I am totally impressed! Enjoy today and have fun with Christopher!

Trudy that is awesome news about Heather! Congrats on being a grandmother again. And congrats on Anna's team selection. As well as Heather has done with Mason she will be a great mom to the two. But it will be a challenge but it is a challenge to all - you will be a great help to her I am sure! So happy for you!

Rae hope that by now you are in the US! Enjoy the last weekend as you close up for the winter. Taz will be enjoying the freedom.

Jean that is so cool that you knew one of the winners and was a role model. I understand the not wanting to drive. Enjoy the day watching football!

Have a great day all!

Good morning ladies. Just popping in for a quick hello and wishing all those in the US a happy Thanksgiving. I'm still home, we're leaving mid afternoon. I want to get as much work done as possible before I go so there is less to do on Sunday when I get home. I edited last night and just about finished that up so next week is going to back to normal (whatever that is).

Chris - hope you feel better as the day goes on and you have a nice time.

Trudy - awesome news about Anna's team and the new grandbaby coming.

Nancy - what a fiasco that day was. Glad it all turned out ok.

I'm getting off the computer so I can get work done, pack and get to the bank for some US money before I head out. Cross your fingers for me at the border crossing. If I get thru in under an hour I'll consider myself lucky. I'll be shopping into the wee hours of the morning and then sleeping off and on throughout the day tomorrow. If the internet is working I'll check in with you all tomorrow.

Have a wonderful day, ladies.

Hope everyone is enjoying their day. Have to clear up misconception, I did not know Grace Hopper, but she was a great role model. A woman pioneer in computers and Naval officer made her really special. DH did work with a Senior Chief at one time who had met her, but that's as close as I came.

I can say that I am thankful today for so many things, and all of you count among them.

Snow is all gone and we are looking at 40's and 50's for the next 10 days. CRAZY!!! But lovin' it!!
Wishing you all the most fabulous day ever!!! I am definitely counting my blessings and they are many!!! HUGS HUGS HUGS!!!
