Happy Thanksgiving to all of those who celebrate that today and to all of those who don't. I try to be thankful every day, with a huge variation of success, but am always very thankful for my O-Fam. ::grouphug

I will make this quick since I have a bunch of things that I need to do before we head to my brother-in-law's. I had another busy day yesterday in spite of me saying it would be quiet. (of course!) I made some charcoal/eo blends face wash, unmolded shower steamers Batch #2, made Batch #3 all in the morning.
Then I went to clean for my neighbor, came home, showered and blew my hair out straight. I need a cut and color so badly. It has been over 7 months now and the grey is bad! My mom came up to give me a tray of her stuffing. She is crazy. She wanted us to have it on Thanksgiving. By the time I made dinner, I was pooped out.

Today we will be going to BIL's for T-Day for the first time ever. My MIL/FIL will be there and I know my kids will be really happy to see their cousins. Hopefully, it will be calm enough that I don't crash at my usual time of 4 pm.

Wishing you all the best today!
xoxo

quick ones from yesterday with apologies for being so MIA this week!

Nancy- fine-- rub it in about your cut and color hahaha! Bet you look and feel amazing with it. Congrats on the GSO! Luther is a gorgeous subject.
OMG!!! That was some dream about the moon!

Rae- Good luck with your Black Friday shopping tomorrow. I bet you will be up and out very early. My mom and I are doing Cyber Monday together since she can't/won't order online.
*fingers crossed for the water lines too*
I like your non-traditional turkey idea, even though I don't eat turkey. Nice change-up!

Trudy- Mom will always take care of their kids the best that they can, even if it is helping your DD to get a warm coat. I bet she needs a good one where she lives. I can imagine Hunter in his saucer bouncing up and down and smiling. Drooling too if he is like Scott :p

Felis- I am so sorry to hear that you have more challenges to deal with. I hope that things calm down for you. Sending thoughts of peace and strength to you~~~
Your health system sounds like it is even more confusing than mine! That is always a worry that the insurance companies can deny paying a bill or will only pay a small portion. Some don't plans don't cover ambulance services which is crazy.

I have only gotten a handful of GSO's and I feel the same too- but then someone gives me a nice compliment and I feel better. I need to keep reminding myself that I am scrapping for *me*

jean- isn't everything a distraction lately? Hoe that you and your husband have a very nice day together.

And now W is whining to go potty-- and I have to go outside in the cold.

hugs to all!

good morning! Happy Thanksgiving to all my US friends. Yesterday was super productive. I got my salad made for Thanksgiving which my son and DIL are hosting. Then made dinner. The made it to the hockey game which was exciting as the my Devils were losing 2-0 and came back to tie. The OT was just amazing and then the SO was 11 rounds. They lost as they never win in SOs. Then we went and stood in line for our photos. Well I was lucky as my DIL was like 6 in line so we got out fast but it was almost an hour before he made it but he is so nice. Then came home and my DH too was productive as he had two pumpkin pies made and was starting on his coconut cream pie. House smelled great! Now this am he is making banana bread and masked potatoes. I am one lucky person. My son may also try his hand at cooking to be able to bring something to the dinner. Now I am watching the Macy's Parade it always makes me happy! I will watch football and eat. What can be better than that!

Chris have fun at your BILs. It will be fun to see their cousins. So glad your day yesterday was so productive! Enjoy today.

Trudy how fun all the FaceTime you had with Heather. I would think you would have about 40 different kinda of raincoats but not many winter coats... Glad she found a coat she likes. 30 laps congrats that is awesome! And congrats to your main guys favorite team. The Devils at least got a point so we are still in the play offs and that makes me very happy!

Rae have a great time shopping! I know you will blitz the shopping. Hoping you find the trailer in perfect condition. Have fun!

Felis sorry that life is still throwing stuff your way. And yes that was a strange dream LOL. That is interesting how your health system works.

Jean that is great that the eagles are coming back to Erie too! Have fun with your small bird and watching football!

Have a great day all!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING! To all of our U.S.A. friends! I hope that everyone gets to enjoy lots of happy togetherness and food and fun! DH is home this morning as he has a meeting to go to at 9am, there was talk of a strike with their union, but I think things are getting worked out. He is the shop steward for his office, so he gets paid for his day by the Union and will enjoy not having to put in such a long day. I will go to the pool and then hopefully a nice day of finishing off my Nativity and getting some much needed time scrapping (wonder if it will actually happen?)

Chris - I hope your family has a wonderful time at your Brother-In-Law's its always nice when the cousins can connect again, I know my kids love to get together with there's! A very busy day for you yesterday and this morning already. You got a lot accomplished! Hope you don't fizzle out early today! Enjoy the day!

Nancy - Your day sounds like it will be perfect with all that football and yummy cooking that you did not have to do! Lucky woman!! You have lots to be very Thankful for! Yes a very exciting game last night we thought for sure your Devils were going to pull off the win, they played so well! Hooray for the point also, DH is always happy when they can at least get a point in the end.

Rae - Have fun with your shopping! I know you will do well!

Feels - Your health care is very different, but I suppose it is what works for your country. Ours if fairly good, although we have long wait time for MRI's and other testing, unless deemed an emergency. If you are working and your place of work has good benefits than you are very lucky and most of what you need medically is taken care of. We are fortunate to have always had great coverage both for medical and dental, so have very rarely had to pay for anything. Even when our DD was very ill with Encephalitis we did not have to put out $$ for anything. Such a blessing as I know it would have bankrupted us if we lived somewhere else. Not fair as the entire world should have the right to affordable health care!
Nice that your parents are taking care of your need for a new coat, us Parents are always watching out for our kids, no matter how old they are :becky:

Jean - Enjoy your bird and football today! I am sure you will celebrate the many things in your life to be Thankful for! I am sure the Eagles were out in such great numbers because of the Salmon run, when we travel to Victoria we have to go through GoldStream Park and there are usually a huge number of eagles there as the salmon are plentiful there coming up the river from the ocean, very stinky drive through there with all the rotting fish, but so wonderful to see all the birds!

Well I better get some breakfast on the go for DH before he heads out to his meeting this morning. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day everyone in the States and to all others who pop in here, I hope that your Thursday is filled with great things!

Good morning, ladies. Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends! I'm just popping in to say hi and will check in with you all tomorrow or Saturday (depending on whether our internet will be working at the trailer as there is a wind advisor and we're up the mountain a bit so always get more storm weather up there). I'm mostly all packed to leave and will try to get lots of desk work done before I head out. I know the border will be crazy so the earlier I get out of here the better. I hope to be back at the trailer by midnight and then we'll head out first thing Fri morning for some shopping at some of the other stores (tonight I'll be at the mall). Got a few more bags for the consignment store tomorrow and I think they are having a BF sale too. Should be fun (not so much for D LOL). We'll be looking for a great deal on a small flat screen for the kitchen but don't really expect to find it in Bellingham. I think we'll have better luck here on Boxing Day (or week).

Anyway, I'd better get to work. I'll read all the personals when I can over the wkend. Have a great day everyone.

Happy Thanksgiving, or good Thursday to all. We're having the predicted quiet day today. I'll work on the family history project sitting with DH watching football with some time out for cooking, but it should be fairly easy.

Chris, hope you're having a good time at BIL's and don't close down early. You got so much done yesterday and cleaning too, so no wonder you were exhausted. Maybe simple dinners are needed.

Nancy, how nice you still get a point for the game and keep the lead. And then Trudy's MG is happy too. Your DH sure is a baking marvel with all those yummy creations, and now son wanting to cook too. I know you're having a great time at other son's today.

Trudy, hope you get to the scrapping today, but it may be like all the other days you said that. Your MG sure doesn't sound "retired" what with a job and being shop steward. How can he ever really retire? Enjoy your day.

Rae, hope you had a quick and easy crossing and have the shopping karma rolling. We're prepared to be amazed at all your good finds.

Felis, hope this is a better day for you. Love the page with the picture of your dog.

Happy Thanksgiving at US!
Rushing is bad strategy. I have funny saying: "Under pressure bring depression". At some point next year I'll have to stay face to face with the real situation at my life. But not now, now is time to skip on holiday mood! Hope US have wonderful Thanksgiving. Eat pie for us too :hungry: ! Here is regular day, but I also think (and even scrap, yey) for all little thinks I'm so thankful. Flash sale today is awesome, I finally got one kit that have in my wishlist from ages, but never found reason to use it, so now will have to :ranger: .

Chris, have fun in your ILfamily! I hope this also mean less clean up for you after the party :bolt: ! Allow me to join your opinion, our O-Fam, is something that I'm really grateful this year! Thank you, girls, you rocks!
Phhh, this health system works so bad, both my aunt and my uncle (not the hunter, I have few), was hospitalized this year and their families had horrible time to collect all necessary documents. Fortunately they both are fine now, and this is other think that I'm grateful. By the way I shared this answering to Chris, sorry that I made you all get bored with that!

Nancy, your Thanksgiving description also sounds so fun! Is lovely when all cooking something, isn't it?! In my family only my sister cooking and mom helps a little bit, so on holidays she have to spend whole day into the kitchen. Sorry for the game losing, but hope you wasn't in to bad mode for the photos after that!

Trudy, WOW, you really are have luck with yours healthcare system, many parents here have to start donation campaign to can care for their child health emergency. Thanks to god, that your daughter is safe and recovered! See this is what we have to be grateful today! Thanks for sharing! Hope your husband to can resolve these problems with their union fast and to not be too upset!

Rae, I hope Taz likes the cold and will have fun on the trailer too! Have a nice weekend and successful shopping!

Jean, so good that you could go back to your plan yesterday, and today not deal with backward tasks! The quiet holidays are my favorite. Oh, thank you for the kindly words for my layout, I was thought about some of my favorite moments which I'm thankful and also get these mask on flash sale, so finally ideas comes together. :)

Good night all :tea: !
