Good morning, lOves!

Great news!! I was flipping out over my schedule this time yesterday for *nothing.* As I was working on my calendar, I noticed that I had one of the Pod File trip dates wrong. It wasn't on Dec 5th, but the following week. That was a huge relief. I spent my morning working on the lesson plan for Monday. Lauren texted me in the afternoon that the group didn't have enough kids signed up for that date to go forward. The plus side is that I now have a lesson pretty much prepped for December 12. The bad news is I lost a day's pay. Not great this time of year. But overall, my sanity needs the time to recuperate and rejuvenate to be ready for the next *not-going-to-count-the weeks-until Christmas.*

Not much excitement yesterday-- I tidied my desk, shredded a bunch of paperwork/health insurance stuff from 2003-2004 that I found. I'm a little bummed about the lesson being postponed. I came up with a couple of cute activities. We were going to have a STEM activity of making beaver lodges out of sticks, mud, and salt clay. Then we were going to make the haystack pretzel cookies, but call them beaver lodges. I made up my own Beaver Lodge relay race to play before we ended the day with outdoor/human-sized shelter building.
It will keep until December, but I was excited about it. Oh well!

I cleaned for my friend and then had a little time to scrap my AJ week 4 page. I have to move that on Saturday. *scribbles that on my calendar so I don't forget*

My mom is coming up here today to do some online Christmas shopping. That's always "interesting." She will bring up a handwritten list of the links the family has sent to her for gift ideas. Meanwhile, everyone in my family is saying that they don't want "stuff," yet everyone in my family also wants ideas of what to get each other. You see the conundrum, right? :p

Hey, if you could send good thoughts to my BFF, she just texted me that she got an abnormal pap result. It's in her portal (gawd, I hate the portal) and is waiting to hear from the doctor. It has been literally a year since she got the breast cancer diagnosis (but is all clear!!). It's giving her a sense of PTSD, which I understand completely. I asked her if she had googled the results yet (of course she did!), and it's usually nothing/non-cancerous.
But it's stressful. I reminded her that I had a bunch of abnormal paps and had to have cryosurgery, but none were ever cancerous.
However. None of that will help until she speaks to the doctor. So yeah-- good thoughts to her are appreciated!
Thank you!

xoxo

Eek. I am running really late-- personals will be short today. My apologies!

Thank you! Yes, I'm feeling much better today! I'm beginning to have Chris-itis however! I can't sleep past 5:30 any more!
oh noooooo!!!! That is why I looove my coffee.
Glad that you are feeling better. too.
Gorgeous photo!! And all fingers and toes are crossed that the neighbors don't clear too many trees/build houses.

First snow came today! Yay!
Almost as bad as ketchup.
:D

Black slate, dry stack and a small live edge board ---Happy dance being done here. We will go to Clearwater friday to pick it up then lunch out I guess my German Grandma was right when she said "things work out for the best"
Sounds like it is going to be breathtaking!
Hope that PT wasn't too painful for you. Enjoy driving!
Sorry this made you sad.:hug3: If we were to get a pet cow, it would be a Scottish Highland Cow. They're so cute. But yes, this cow had its best life. It was fed all day long and happy and treated very well. Local farmer, huge fields and all the grass/hay it could want. Acres and acres to roam and run. Quick humane end. And now it will feed my family for a year. :heartpumppink:
They are so cute and shaggy! Even though I don't like to eat meat, I can appreciate doing it sustainably/respectfully.
And yup, circle of life and all that too.
Hope you were able to relax on the heating pad and aren't feeling stiff/sore today
t's turning into a busy week. I can't seem to catch up, but when I look back, I think there hasn't been anything very big, just a lot of little stuff that just keeps coming. But I guess that's life.
Yes, yes, yes-- I totally relate. It's harder to deal with a bunch of smaller things than one or two big ones. Just the time waiting for the next thing to get going is a PITB.
Good thoughts to David and that the Rx helps his vision.
I can never-never-never figure out the this/next day reference. It just doesn't make sense to me. If today is Wednesday, is a week from today next Wednesday? Then what is this Wednesday? I just don't see it. I'm with Scott on this one.
:rotfl:

To me, if today is wed, then a week from today is next wed. If I need the following wed, I'll say two weeks from now. With Scott, it doesn't always get through, so I used the numbers. LOL
Well there may be nothing like it, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be happier on a beach with a good book, a big beach umbrella, and someone bringing me a pina colada.
Same!!!! :beach1:

Then I went out to eat breakfast…no coffee at Sydney’s. Had a delicious Dutch baby with strawberries and bananas. And 4 cups of coffee. lol
No coffee?????? *gasps*
Glad to hear you made up for it when you went out to eat.
Syd has another interview on Monday. It isn’t even a screening interview this time. It is a 45 minute interview with the head of the engineering department. Location? Gainesville, FL. Are you kidding me? We just moved away from Florida. She goes to UF in Gainesville. Seriously. Well, we shall see!
No. freaking. way.
I want to wish her good luck (and I do sincerely wish her good luck) but sheesh, from a mom's perspective --- I am throwing my hands in the air! WTH?

Time to get my day started-- yoga first, then a shower, and breakfast. Then, many deep breaths before my mom gets here.

Praying for your BFF. I totally understand the ptsd. Every time Mark gets sick my anxiety kicks in!

Up at 5:30 again today. The only good thing about that is I'm ready for bed earlier than usual and I usually sleep pretty well!

Good morning,
Quick in and out.
Heading to the bank and then Ilene's for the day.
I may be back in here later.
Have a great day!

Good morning ladies. I remembered to get the wifi password from Sydney today so I don't need to try to do updates from my phone. A slow day planned...still no coffee so I guess a slow day for sure. Syd just left for work and I think I may make a quick Dunkin Donuts run (which is really a coffee run but I will probably add a donut for good measure). Since Sydney is moving out of this apartment at the end of the year, they are showing it. Today at 3 and tomorrow at 10. So I will go get some groceries then...Syd is cooking Swedish meatballs for supper. She made them for our Dinosaur dinner and I didn't get one. They were a big hit and she was irritated with me for not making sure that I got one. So that is supper tonight!

I'll be back with my coffee and donut soon. Then I can really spend some time in here. Going to listen to an audio book while I play at the O. Hard to think of anything better.

Here I am...back with a large cup of coffee. For a half a pot a day lady, this is tough stuff. :coffeedrinker: But I'm happy as can be now.

Ain't that a beauty?! Won't be so pretty if that field ends up full of houses, however! :crying1: Fingers crossed that doesn't happen!
Oh Vicky that sunset is just gorgeous! I hope that they don't build a bunch of houses behind you! That would change life so dramatically.

My mom is coming up here today to do some online Christmas shopping. That's always "interesting." She will bring up a handwritten list of the links the family has sent to her for gift ideas. Hoping that you and your mom have a really good day and you can find what she wants. Also, saying a prayer for your friend. Understandable about the PTSD. I agree...I hate the portals.

No. freaking. way.
I want to wish her good luck (and I do sincerely wish her good luck) but sheesh, from a mom's perspective --- I am throwing my hands in the air! WTH?
You pretty much summed it up 100 percent. I think she feels that way too. The screening interview she did told her that they weren't sure that they were willing to wait until May...although her resume and application both told them that she wouldn't be available until May...:banghead:

This place likes UF grads a lot...so that would help with the interview I'm sure. And I'm sure that they know her professors. It will work out however it is supposed to work out. I'm going to subscribe to Debby's grandma's theory that "things will work out for the best." Since we are still 6 months from when she could start a full time job, she has time.

I won my last hurtle about the kitchen. I wanted the black slate behind the antique too but he said no no no...today he ordered more so we can do that...I'm so happy it will add so much to that wall. Black slate, dry stack and a small live edge board ---Happy dance being done here. We will go to Clearwater friday to pick it up then lunch out I guess my German Grandma was right when she said "things work out for the best"
That kitchen is sounding absolutely gorgeous. Cannot wait to see it.
Next week will be busy so I will sit for today. Maybe I can scrap today. We shall see.
I'm glad that you decided to rest a bit. Hope that you were able to get some scrapping done.

We have a shallow basin along one of our trails, built with a dam, for the purpose of protecting the Chesapeake Bay drainage from silt. Every so often a family of beavers finds it. You can see their pointy tree harvesting technique along the edges of the basin, and their lodge, close to the shore. It's so exciting! Unfortunately, the water authority removes them pretty quickly, generally within a year.
Oh that sounds really fun! You need to share it with us through a layout!

Ok...off to see what I am behind on here at the O! Catch you in the galleries!
