It's going to take me a while to get used to typing November, I almost turned back to October again in the subject here. It feels more like December right now. 28* :brrr:

I can't complain too much though. I feel like I have been running hot for the last few months. Not hot flashes per se. Gary has been freezing and turns the heat up but then it's too hot for me. Or I have on a ton of layers and pull them off and then too cold- again and again.
Is this menopause? If so, is it going to get worse? I always hear about how women get awful drenching sweats and it is nothing like that.

My mom and I talked a little bit yesterday and she apologized for being off the rails the other day. She and Cait had talked in the afternoon (Cait calls every couple of days when she is driving home from work) and I guess Cait told her how upset I was. I apologized back - not for anything that I did, but that I wasn't as supportive as I should have been. :(

I have no plans today other than having Scott here for dinner. That makes me happy ♥

Big hugs to everyone!

@vickyday 4 Color Play pages, good for you! This month's kits were amazing.
BTW, I scrolled down and saw the wonderful news!! No surgery!! Yippppeeeee!!! :smiliesdoingwave:
Stay warm today.

@taxed4ever how was your hike yesterday? I hope that the fog cleared out.
See, that's what I mean about the trick-or-treaters, that you get the kids you know. I love seeing the neighborhood kids. I mean-- I see them zipping up and down the street on their quads every darn day, why not for Halloween? ;)
It's not even that they go to a richer neighborhood. They go where the houses are closer together. I saw people posting on FB in that one area that if others were not getting kids to please donate their candy since they were running out.
(sorry that sentence was a jumble but my brain is too sluggish to fix it.)

@BrightEyes The weather is out of control! It is supposed to get into the upper 60s on Saturday here as well.
What a bummer of a shopping trip. Good luck shopping online!

@pachimac awww, that little Tinkerbell must have been so cute! That age makes me melt too. :) So you have enough leftover candy to snack on without making yourself sick? If so, that is the perfect balance LOL
I am 100% with you, Susie-- feeling aimless and out of shape. For months I stayed good at doing yoga, hiking, and eating better. Sept and Oct knocked that right out of me. I am trying to get back into all of that. When your doc says it is okay, let's work on that together!

@Cherylndesigns Looks like you were able to find an avi to suit you :D Love your signature too!
If I have a lot of stuff, I always try to let someone with only a few things go first too. I remember the days when I would have my kids with me and the relief I felt when someone let me go ahead.
This sums it up in one sentence:
Men - it has to be THEIR idea, I swear.
:rollingpin1:

Same temp here! Too cold for me!
Sounds like it could be onset of menopause. I never had the drenching sweats. Barely had any flashes at all.
Glad you and your mom mended things! I hated being out of sorts with my mom! I wish I had her back just so I could apologize.

Good Morning!
In case you missed my update yesterday, no surgery needed! So I have a hard cast now. It is sure tighter than the splint!
40947.jpeg40934.jpeg

I go back in 3 weeks and may be able to have the cast removed and replaced with a removable splint!

I went to church last night and squirmed the whole hour as my back was killing me. The pain started at the docs office. I had to ice it when we got back from church and by bedtime I was so much better! The doc gave me the name of a spine specialist that I am going to call today to schedule an appt.

Hoping Carolyn is up to a short visit with Ilene and I today, but other than that I have nothing planned.

HAGD and hugs to everyone! :grouphugyay::waving1

@faerywings, so glad you put Thursday in the title... I was thinking it was Wednesday... and Thursday is trash pick-up along with recycles this week. So shuffled outside under a bright shining moon and got the bins moved to the curb. Yes... it is 27* here :brrr: :brrr: :brrr: and made for a cold venture outside!!! Yep... it sounds like you are in the start of menopause - hot then cold. I never had the drenching sweats - but have what I call 'warm flushes'. :rotfl:

Had to stop and get some HOT COFFEE after that cold dash outside! Thank goodness I am in sweats so didn't put a jacket on. Yep, that is the first time for this fall that I really needed it. I did some on-line looking for winter stuff... and didn't find anything that I liked. Guess I will have to go back to WW and get pants in one store and tops in another one. I was looking in the closet at what pants I need to move out of there and discovered a brand new pair of sweat pants with tags still on them in a size TOO BIG. They have joined the new leggings that are the same size - will give them to my DD#3 when she comes down.

@vickyday Great news that no surgery is needed on the wrist!!! Ouch... it sure looks sore and bruised. Yes, it is wise to see a spine specialist for your back. So sorry that you were in pain while at church. You have my utmost sympathy.

@Cherylndesigns Love your new avi and siggy!! I have been thinking about changing my siggy to something less spring like. Had to LOL over Chuck thinking he didn't need PT and could 'do it all in his room;... Glad you set him straight on that.

@pachimac Hope you can get the energy to get back into the swing of some exercise/yoga or whatever you do. Have you recovered from the surgery yet??

Need to look at the Nov challenges and see which ones I can work on. Hope to get most of them done before my Sister comes over for Thanksgiving. No Color Play in Nov or Dec so won't need to work them at the end of the month. HAGD

Thanks, Kay! I was relieved to say the least. I was able to get spine appt. in Dec.

Good morning lovelies.

I'm up but not "at "em. Did I tell you I've been watching Ava's lab for several days and nights? Ava went with her BF to a golf tournament in Florida (everybody's going to Florida except me.) He's a semi-professional golfer and is a scratch golfer and he makes part of his living playing in tournaments. He might start the journey into getting into the PGA. It's a long road, but he's young and he's that good.

Anyhoo, I've had her dog and she's very needy - I make her and Daisy sleep in the living room and Bailee doesn't like it but I cant have two dogs in bed with me. She starts whining at my door bright and early, because she's used to sleeping with Ava. Two dogs all day and night are one too many. :floorlaugh: My house isn't big enough for two semi big dogs. Daisy weighs fifty pounds and Bailee weights about the same. Then we have the cat who's been a little bent out of shape because there's another dog here. LOL His little ecosystem has been rearranged. (We used to have two dogs - had two dogs for years, but we had a much bigger house then.)

Chris @faerywings, glad you and your mom had a conversation and happy that you have Scott's coming to dinner to look forward to. Yes, men - it always has to be their idea. Glad you like my avi - it's really cool if you click on it and look at the whole picture. Kind of "pioneer/Fallish" and I hadn't made a siggy since last spring.

It's a little warmer - supposed to get up to sixty today - Kay @BrightEyes had to LOL about you shuffling the trash bins out to the street in the cold. :brrr: 27 is definitely cold!! Glad you like my new avi and siggy. I thought I'd just have fun with my avi for awhile - there are so many cool pictures now that I just couldn't resist replacing my witch with something I really liked. I hadn't changed my siggy since last spring either. Yes, Chuck is a character and I'm sure he gives the staff a lot of gray hairs and I'm sure a few laughs. I'm so glad that he relented to go to the PT room. Of course, last night, you'd have thought that it was all his idea. :floorlaugh: That's ok- I'll take that.

Vicky @vickyday so wonderful that you don't have to have surgery.

Hugs to everybody who stops in after me and have a good Thursday. I agree with Kay @BrightEyes I didn't realize today was Thursday either, but that's nothing unusual for me.

I did another challenge last night and need to get that posted, plus I've done one of the prereleases already, but it doesn't go live until tomorrow.

Morning O-zies! It is very rainy and dark out there this morning, but unlike most of you our temps have gotten a bit warmer. I slept until 7:40 this morning, guess all that fresh air and 8 kms of hiking made me more tired than I thought. Today is a stay at home and do whatever I want to kind of day. I don't have any baking or housework that needs to be done, so I think it will be a great day to start some serious scrapping and working on my Calendar!! Other than that I am waiting on a face time call from Heather. Oh and I need to get the coupons out to the challenge winners this morning also.

@faerywings - How nice that Caitlyn calls her grandma when she is on her way home, so lovely that she has a special relationship with her! Nice that your Mom called to apologize to you :lovey3:. I hope you enjoy having Scott there with you this evening! Yes it sounds like maybe its the start of menopause UGH!! I had terrible hot flashes that lasted for years, sure hope you are not going to go through that!!

@vickyday - Ohhh my goodness your poor arm looks so sore!! What a relief that you do not have to have surgery and I hope that the spine specialist is able to help you with your back pain!! No fun squirming around the whole time you are at church. Sending you gentle hugs :hug2:.

@BrightEyes - Brrr it sounds very chilly for you to be out there putting out the garbage for pickup :takingouttrash:but I guess if you don't do it then it won't get done will it?!! Hope you enjoyed your nice hot coffee to warm you up! Darn that the new pants in your closet did not fit, hope you find some that your really like! Nice that you can pass them along to your DD!

@pachimac - Hope you get motivated to get out on those hiking trails soon! Also hope that you are able to find a job in the new year, it is very difficult to make ends meet with only one income these days, but of course you need to get yourself all healed and feeling better before that happens!

@Cherylndesigns - What are you doing up this early??? Oh one too many dogs in the house, that will do it!! LOL. Love your new avi, I should really change mine, but seems to always be the last thing I think of doing. Guess I will have to soon with Christmas fast approaching and all the fun things that go on here at that time of the year.

Ok I am in desperate need of another cup of coffee and then I better get the coupons handed out. Have a wonderful Thursday everyone! Stay warm!! :xmas-sheep:

Yep, it's the extra dog, Trudy @taxed4ever - she's an early bird - Ava gets up at 7 am every morning, so Bailee is whining at my door bright and early. UGH I just loved this funky/cool picture so I decided to use it for fun. I'll go back to my normal one soon - I'm earily bored. :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: Than, we have Christmas coming up so..........................I might keep it til then. Oh, decisions, decisions.

I hear you with the dogs and cat situation! Too funny! My daughter has a Great Dane! She's as big as a pony! I would never have a dog that big in my house! Asher, who weighs in at a little over 10 lbs. is as big as I want to go! And I'm hoping Mark will say NO to another dog once Asher is gone! I can't say much about Asher because he was here before I was!
