It is Thursday, right? All this week I have been a day "ahead" but now that it is Thursday, it doesn't feel like it is.

The good news in my house is that Cait is starting to finally feel better. She made it to her classes yesterday. Thank goodness since I was worried about what to do next to help her.
Cleaning went fines o there was that. Gary made some really awesome homemade pizzas for dinner and we watched another episode of Stranger Things together. (I am telling ya-- if you aren't watching and you have Netflix-- go forth and binge!)

Today, I am putting all of the Halloween things away. I need some time of non-cluttered areas before I need to think about Christmas decorating at the end of the month. Then I am going to make my plan of attack for how I am making the Faery-Wings products. The Open House is in one month and I can't get myself too stressed about it all. Can't. Probably will, however. :noidea:

The order came yesterday with the dogs' new toys and J and W were so excited running around with them. They were just simple chew toys but W would have one and J the other. They would run around, drop their toy at the other's feet, then run around some more. So cute!!!

Wishing that you all have a wonderful day! May the sun shine for you! xo

Nancy- the news from NYC is so sad. I don't understand how people can be so driven to kill and hurt people- for any reason.
So you had a quiet Halloween too? I wonder if it is because a lot of towns have Trunk or Treats or T-or-T-ing at the malls? Up here, the town is so spread out, a lot of parents drive their kids over to some of the developments and the kids go there instead of on the smaller roads like mine. I think that is kind of crummy but what can you do? We always enjoyed going out and seeing our actual neighbors but times change, don't they?
Bet you had a great time out with your girlfriends and then B-ball and Hockey? You are going to be one tired lady today!
You have to start with Season one of Stranger Things- you won't get what is going on in 2 if you don't. We watched Season 1 twice and we still didn't catch everything. But darn, it is soooo good!

Hmmmm-- Cait is usually awake by now- I am going to check on her and be back in a bit.

I am back- that little bugger forgot about me LOL
She came down for coffee early and I was just getting out of bed so she went back upstairs and never came back down :pout:
She didn't sleep well, woke up very early b/c her stomach hurt but now seems to be feeling a lot better. At least there is that haha!!!

Nancy- I have trouble with some of the local issues, there just is never enough info about them. Like we have an MUA sale on the ballot in my town. Typically, I don't like a lot of privatization of utilities but after really having to dig into it, I decided to vote for the sale. But it took a lot of work to figure it out. Good luck with your ballot.

Rae- that really stinks about your cholesterol. :( Must be so disappointing. FWIW, Gary's cholesterol tended to run high. Being Type 1 Diabetic puts him at high risk for heart disease so his old Dr wanted him on Lipitor as soon as he started to reach the high end of normal. After a few years, he started to study the side effects and some of the new research on cholesterol. he decided to come off Lipitor and his levels are still here they were all along. It didn't do anything for him and like you said, some of the risks/side effects can be bad. I am (obviously!) not a Dr and not saying what you should do, just relating what Gary decided.
OTOH- Like Darrell- Gary was very adamant about me *not* going for radiation therapy after my lumpectomy. Finally, I had to tell him-- My body, my cancer, my decision. Hope that you are able to take your time and figure out what is best for you.
Poor Taz!! I hope that he was able to relax a bit yesterday. Gary told me that W had 2 accidents that night. Usually, she is pretty good about letting us know when she needs to go outside but maybe the extra commotion, even though it wasn't a lot, made her uneasy too.

Wait-- what???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are not giving up your CT spot here!!!! Sorry, won't let you. (This right after me telling you to make medical decisions based on what you want, not others :pound: ) I know you have two challenges that you are hosting this month, I will take over the commenting and bumping them if that helps.
Hang in there!!!

Trudy- So weird about Halloween being quiet by you too. That is amazing that you have no desire to eat any of the candy. My BFFATS's son and his friends were all Star Wars characters too. Why didn't Mason want his costume on? Hunter must have been adorable as a dragon, do you have pics or pages done yet?
How was your hike? I hope that you are able to get a few more of them in before the weather changes cold for good. We are supposed to be close to 70* today and tomorrow.
I am with you and helping Rae as a Cheery O too- See, GMTA!

Jean- those new mats will be perfect as the weather gets yuckier, but I am not thinking about snow-- not yet. Not ever. NO to :smow:
What did you end up doing? Bird Club or World Series?

Felis- Can you tell me a bit more about National Revival Leaders? Was your country under slavery? Or a just specific culture? I hate that my country tends to do very basic history in the public schools. My kids had Revolutionary War period to Civil War over and over. That spans only about 100 years. They get very little in the way of World History and that focuses on Greek and Roman History. We all know very little outside of Western Culture.
Oh no about falling on the stairs! I hope that your muscles are feeling better today, you can really wrench them when you fall. Good idea to stay home with the dogs and cats. That is what i would do.

xoxoxo!!

Good morning girls!
I didn't sleep well and now these muscles pain is becoming as stronger pain in my neck. It's nothing serious, just I have very low level of physical pain tolerance, instead of my emotional uncomplaining. These symptoms couldn't come from a punch in the shoulder (see my yesterday post), so probably all is coming from the stress. This part of the year is hard for my family. Since I am not very productive now and next two days will be very busy, I'll catch all happened in our discussions at the Sunday or even Monday. So don't worry all is normal, and I wish you lovely weekend!

Chris, I'm so happy to hear that Caitlyn's feels little better. Looks like in your family you just couldn't take a break, immediately back to classes?! This story for your puppies is so sweet, I could imagine it. We aren't watch the Stranger Things yet, it's on my plans, but will see when. Didn't you make Thanksgiving decoration too?

All other lovely ladies, I'm left you personal notes in my yesterday post.

Have a lovely day, all!
Hugs

good morning - the sun is starting to shine through the clouds and temps should be in the 70s. Wow! Made the walk with Luther really fun. Hard to get up as the Devils game lasted past midnight but they defeated the Canucks 2-0. My goalie was awesome. It was a crack up this am my son was talking to his friend and they were complaining that the Canucks challenged the goal for offsides when they did not have a time out and then when the Devils were onsides there was no penalty. So I explained that the review came from Toronto and then they calmed down. It was pretty funny to see just how seriously they are taking the game. Glad to see the Astros won - good for Houston. And the coolest thing was one of the Astros set it up with an MBL reporter to get the proposal on the air. It was really sweet. Had a great time at dinner with the ladies. One of my girlfriends had the weirdest ailment - a dog hair had entered her skin between her big toe and the next toe and became really infected such that she had to go into the hospital for 2 days for IV antibiotics. They said this was common especially for hair dressers who wear open toed shoes. She showed a photo and wow it was really swollen and red and who knew. Apparently the dog's hair is like a needle and just punctures the skin and you don't even know.

Chris so glad to hear that Cait is doing so much better and made it to school. And really nice that your Gary made awesome pizza's. How fun for your dogs to get new toys. I bet they were so happy! Hard to believe in a month we will be ending Thanksgiving and decorate for Christmas.

Felis take care and hope the muscles are not too painful.

Trudy how was the hike. I like Chris want to see the photos of the kids. Poor Mason not wanting his costume. But kids have a mind of their own. How is MIL?

Rae so sorry to hear you are thinking of giving up CheeryO duties. You are good but I am sure it does take time. One of my girlfriends at dinner brought in her own cauliflower so she could eat as she is on a Keto diet. She has lost a lot of weight. But I still can not give up my bread.

Jean so did you see the proposal at the end of the World Series. That was so cool. Glad that Houston won as they had never won.

Have a great day all!

Good morning everyone, it is a cloudy grey morning and probably the beginning of a few days of :rain: for us. Yesterday's hike was beautiful sunny skies, however quite chilly as we began our hike. I had to put my gloves on and wore a few layers so I was nice and warm. A beautiful hike and a new one for me with a lovely waterfall to have lunch by. Not really a gruelling hike, but very pleasant! I hope to do a page today, but need to get my calendar finished up too.

Chris - Glad that Cait is starting to feel better again! Hope it doesn't take you all day to get your Halloween decorations put away for another year. Yikes, thinking about getting the Christmas decorations out is too stressful for me to think about just yet LOL. Mason would not put his Halloween costume on or go trick treating, so he stayed home with his Mom and handed out treats. I think that he puts in such long days at school and doesn't get to come home until his Dad or Grandpa picks him up that he is too tired to participate in too many other things and is cranky and moody by the end of the day. Poor little guy! He absolutely loves his school though and is very excited to get going every morning which is nice!

Feels - Sorry to hear that your muscles are still stiff and sore from your fall on the stairs! It can be such a shock to the system to have a fall like that and if you are stressed out about your work too then it would make it so much worse! I hope that your day goes well and you are able to catch up on your busy schedule!

Nancy - You must be so tired after staying up so late to watch your Devils last night. We were also watching and cheering for your team, we are not big Canuck fans. Poor DH gets a ribbing from the rest of his family for not being a Canuck fan, but he loves his Bruins and will never change LOL. Also saw the Astros win last night and was so happy for them, pretty great that a team who has never won the world series came through!! I bet they are celebrating big time! The hike was very nice and the weather so beautiful, today is very rainy so we lucked out on the weather for sure! Next weeks hike is supposed to be out by Port Refrew where a WW2 plane was discovered after being MIA for all these years and we hope to have a Remembrance Day Service held for it. The remains of the men on board were moved last year and buried in Victoria here is a link about it if you are at all interested http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/briti...n-missing-for-70-years-laid-to-rest-1.2830243
What a strange story about your friend and the dog hair!! Who knew?? I hope that she is doing much better now!

Ok I need my coffee and better get my things together to go for a swim. I hope you all have a fun day and that the rain stays away for all you!

Good morning, ladies. Slept really well last night, Taz slept thru the night too. I never comment on D's sleeping b/c although he wakes a few times throughout the night, he can fall asleep in about 1 second, no kidding. Taz woke me up once for a few minutes, squirming beside me and when I opened my eyes to see what he was doing, he had his nose up in the air, frantically sniffing, whipping his head from side to side. He quieted down after about 5 minutes and we went back to sleep. This morning I found out what was happening. He had smelled the bear. It was on our porch last night, it opened the suet feeder and took it and he ripped the hummingbird feeder apart. The amazing thing was that all the pieces (4) were all unscrewed apart and scattered on the porch in front of the kitchen door but nothing was broken. So the bear actually would have had to turn/unscrew the pieces apart. Amazing how smart they are. Freaky to think about it being up on our 2nd story porch though. So I thoroughly cleaned everything, made new sugar water and have the feeder back out. The suet feeder isn't broken either, it was just opened by the latches, so I was able to refill it and put it back up too. The bear also dumped our recycling bin in front of the garage. That's the only one that isn't locked b/c there isn't any food in it but I guess the bear wanted to be sure.

As for my cholesterol, I chatted with Sharron a bit, she recommended a book and I ordered that and another one from amazon to read. So for now, I will be telling my doctor no, no statin at this point. He gets very angry when challenged and I may have to find a new doctor which will suck b/c there aren't any around here that take new patients. It took me 2 yrs to get in to him and it was only b/c he is D's doctor. Wish I had a doctor that would work with me not just dictate to me. But we'll see what next Thurs' visit is like.

On a happier note, I'm going to get my hair cut today and will get a few inches taken off and a shorter side bang. It won't be anything too drastic but it'll be shorter than I've gone in a number of years.

Chris - glad Cait is feeling a bit better. Don't stress about getting your products made, you always do, it always gets done in time. But I do understand the worry, I too stress about getting things done in time, which is probably why I'm stressing about my CT duties. Not that I don't love it, not that I don't want to remain a CT, it's just that I worry that I am not living up to a CT's duties of more participation. If I do leave the CT at some point, it won't happen right away, I will give it all some time and see if my schedule settles down. So I'm not going anywhere right now. I'll see how things go over the next month or two. But thx for offering to help relieve my stress/duties. I've got my challenges posted so am not behind. It's more of the commenting in forums/gallery and layout creation that I am sucking at right now.

Trudy - bet you are glad to have gotten out for your hike yesterday. It's pouring out now and the leaves are falling quickly from the trees. It's not so pretty out there now.

Felis - maybe take a nice hot soak later to soothe your achy muscles. Hope you can relax and less go of the stress. Hugs to you.

Nancy - D watched the game last night but turned it off before it ended. He's not been happy with the Canucks these past few years. It frustrates him. I don't watch sports so have no idea about it. That's weird about your friend's infection but I guess it makes sense, dog hair is stronger and coarser. Glad she got it treated.

Jean and everyone else...hope you are having a good day.

I am getting my coffee refill and getting to work. I'm getting a late start today b/c of the cleanup after the bear. What a way to start the day!

Glad you had a great hike yesterday and next week sounds like an interesting hike.

Warmer today so it was nice when I went to get blood work done. Last night we did watch World Series not bird club and I was really glad. Last baseball game and it turned out interesting but not so tight as some were. Fun watching the Astros celebrate and, yes, we saw the proposal. She sure looked surprised! Just wishing it were our team, or perhaps that game 7 last year would have ended with them winning instead of losing. Oh well, the equipment truck leaves for spring training in Arizona around the end of January.

Chris, not stress over getting things done? Not going to happen. But if you know that, maybe it won't be as much. We know you always come through. Sure hope Cait continues to improve, great that she could go to school yesterday. Sad putting Halloween away, but here's hoping the next holidays are more normal. Love the mental picture of the dogs with the new toys.

Felis, hoping you feel better and don't let the stress get you down. Good luck with the next few busy days.

Nancy, wow, hockey is sure going well! And the WS was such fun. Amazing about your friend and the dog hair. DH sometimes gets a painful "splinter" from a bit of beard trimming. But that hurts so he knows it's there. Hope you and Luther get to enjoy more of the nice day.

Trudy, sounds like a wonderful hike and something interesting next week. At least you have scrapping to ward off the rainy days now. Poor Mason being worn out after his day. Glad he likes school though.

Rae, had to read DH about the bear and the feeders. We had no idea they could be so dexterous. Glad that is one bit of wildlife we don't have here. Good luck with the doctor. They really do need to listen to patients and act accordingly.

To all, hope it's a good day.

Rae - Are you sure you didn't have Racoons on your upper deck while the Bear was out there going through your garbage?? LOL Glad that our area does not have bears and there does not seem to be a racoon problem anymore either, but my brother and SIL have Bears go through their front yard almost every day! :fear:
