Hi everyone! How are you doing this morning? Aside from my normal tiredness, I think I am doing OK. another relatively decent night's sleep, hopefully, I am over my insomnia for a while.
This month is flying, isn't it? I am starting to get into more of a Christmas mindset which I am honestly not sure I like. It is too early but at the rate time is speeding by, it is "Late." YKWIM?
I did really well not researching Christmas tree info. I wanted to, but I didn't. I have to learn how to delegate and stick with it. Scott brought his laptop down at dinner and we looked at some of the ones he found. He is refining the search today and hopefully, we can order it soon. I know I am going to be semi-disappointed in it but once we put all of the ornaments and lights on, it will look wonderful. And I won't have to vacuum up the needles every day. Bonus!!

I got the hand creams made and labeled. I didn't get a chance to start the muscle rub. Gary needed the kitchen earlier than I thought. He made caramelized onion and garlic pasta and the onions need to cook for a few hours. Mmmm, so yummy.

I am cleaning this morning so I should wrap this up. I had some time to scrap yesterday and I had no creative spark whatsoever. Maybe this afternoon I can work on something.

@BrightEyes How is your knee today? Glad that you have something warm to wear over the brace.
Oh, I love the smell of sage. (Note to self: harvest some more of the sage leaves from the garden for the stuffing next week)
That is a fab idea to celebrate your birthday and T-Day together. Good idea to cook over a couple of days. You don't want to be in pain and not be able to enjoy your food.

@bcgal00 Is your yard drying out? Good luck getting what you need from the stores, is the panic from the weather or COVID cases? Both?
Hope you had a nice afternoon with the dogs

@Cherylndesigns I LOOOOOVED the photoshoot pics on FB. You and Chuck are the cutest together <3
Oh wow, sorry to hear that Ava's brother has been cutting. I know how hard it was for my kids to stop. Scott was lucky that a HS teacher noticed, took him aside and talked to him about it, showed him her scars. I think that was a big turning point for him. We do have so much in common, don't we :D
I can't wait to see your LO when it gets uploaded!

@tjscraps OMG-- it takes that long just to get bloodwork????? Is it a special type of bloodwork or needs to be drawn in a specific way? Here we can get the blood work done quickly- it just might take forever to get the seen afterward with the results. I have all my fingers and toes crossed that he can get that done soon. I can understand why you are worried. :(

@felis that sounds very exciting that you might have some good news in the next year!! I am happy for you!!!!!
hehehe-- I adore Mr. Morris, look at how cute the beard is! So fun!
Always share about your family- it is a good way to remind me of things too since I forget everything.

xoxoxoxoxo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning everyone! I have been absent from here and not been a very good CheeryO lately!! I will try to improve I promise! Yesterday's hike, was more a very long Urban Walk. Almost 8 kms. It was a lovely day, a bit chilly, but the sun was shining and we had a nice time! We even went past my Gary's workplace and were happy to see that the water has all receded and things are drying up nicely! We did spot the dumpster that floated away to other side of the street and into a ditch. LOL I don't know how they will ever get it out of there! After the hike my friend Pat and I went to Canadian Tire Store and purchased a couple of fatigue mats that were on for a really great price! I have two of them now in my kitchen and just love them! Then we decided to go for brunch at "Brunch On Third" she has never been there, so that was a nice treat for her! Had a wonderful visit and could have sat there all day just chatting it up. Got home around 2:30 and sat down and made some Christmas Gift Tags, they came together really quickly and are so cute! Will hopefully get a few more made today. Also will start page 8 of my Calendar and perhaps even page 9 if it goes quickly! Got my grocery order in early this morning and will see just how much of it I will be able to get as people are panic buying here also, because of the roads all being washed out in the interior of the province. Everyone is worried that the supply chain will be terribly affected by it, but for heavens sake have a little faith people, there are alternate routes for the truckers to take!! My Gary took the day off tomorrow so that we can get the front yard cleaned up of leaves and debris from the last wind storm and then we will both get our flu shot. He called his parents last night to tell them not to come to Duncan to do their shopping, just get what you can locally and we will pick up anything else they might not be able to get if we can. We will be going there on Saturday morning to help them get all the garden waste taken away and other things that might need to be done. I have made a huge batch of Pasta E Fagioli Soup and will take that up for them and us to enjoy for lunch.

@faerywings - I have to tell you that my FIL is so much like your Dad!! He was supposed to wait until we got there to help out with digging up all the Dahlia tubers in the garden, but did he???? Of course not he got out there two days ago, after our horrible rain storms and dug them up all by himself. MIL said that he spent the rest of the day flat on his back, in pain! OMG!! What a dumb@*# !! No sympathy from me thats for sure!! MIL was so mad at him, she wanted us to all have a nice time working together and he just went and ruined it all! I am glad that you are sleeping better! I will keep my fingers crossed that it continues for you! Good for you for not researching the trees, I must say that artificial trees are so much nicer now then they used to be! Our new one goes up in a minute and has all the lights on it too. Love it! You are doing well with your faerywings items, you will be ready for Christmas in no time! WTG!!

@bcgal00 - Is it as crazy in your area as it is in ours with people panic buying and hoarding???? I don't understand it o_O. It's not the end of the world people!! Hope your backyard is not underwater anymore!

@Cherylndesigns - I saw your photo shoot pictures too, they are amazing!! You really are a cute couple! Looking forward to seeing your layout with the photos from your shoot!

@felis - I just adore your Mr. Morris!! I look forward to hearing just what this exciting dream will be and hope that it comes true for you sweetie!! ((hugs))!

@tjscraps - Oh my what a worry for you and your hubby!! Darn the healthcare waits are just terrible and Covid certainly hasn't improved the wait times that's for sure! I hope that you will be able to get this taken care of quickly! Sorry that it has been such a stressful week for you all!!

@BrightEyes - I hope that your knee is feeling better today and that you will have a wonderful time celebrating your birthday and Thanksgiving all at the same time! I can smell the sage from here LOL! I love that smell it reminds me of Turkey Dinner with my Mother and Father!

Ok I am off to get more coffee, I was up with DH this morning at 5:30am, could not sleep anymore, it will be a long day LOL. Have a great Thursday everyone!

Wow, slept in until 8AM... Glad for the extra hours of sleep. Yesterday afternoon fooled us all as the winds died down and the temp climbed up to the low 60's with lots of sunshine. Decided that I had better do my errands since it was nicer than expected. Made it over to the CU and paid my bill, picked up some fruit and veggies at the produce market and stopped at Sam's and got another set of sheets that I really like. Good thing as the supply of them was getting low! After resting in the car for a bit, decided to go to the Senior Citizens Center library and get some more books to read. Also got the mail and was happy to see my new drivers license was in it. I was smart and used a cane if the place didn't have a cart to help brace the knee. So glad to get home and put the leg up for the rest of the day. It is feeling a bit better today... able to walk easier but still a challenge when I have to bend it much or stand very long. Plan on resting it most of the day.

@Cherylndesigns I saw your photo shoot photos on FB... fantastic! You are a great looking couple... And the background autumn colors/trees are wonderful. Can't wait to see them on some of your LOs soon. BTW.. I agree with you - I like the richer colors in photos most of the time unless the LO calls for soft colors. I end up tweaking some of the photo to get the richer colors. I love the 'Haze Removal' in PSE that makes it so easy.

@taxed4ever So glad you had a nice walk and time spent with your friend. Relived to hear that most of the flooding has receded from the area. Too bad your FiL didn't listen to everyone and wait for help. So sweet of you to make some food to share with the in-laws. Sounds like Gary and you have a lot of yard work to clean it up.

@faerywings So proud of you to resist doing research on the trees and let Scott take the lead. Must admit that I much prefer the artificial tree over real one after the last real one we had that dried out so badly we ended up taking it down several days before Christmas as it was a fire danger. 2 houses in our neighborhood at the time had fires start from their trees. That was many years ago and the artificial trees have really improved since then. Oh, my... Gray's meal he fixed sounds delicious! Glad you got the creams finished. I admire your skill in making them and the soaps... etc! Good luck on getting more gifts done before the big day.

@bcgal00 So sorry to hear about the power loss that put you behind on your work. Hope you get caught up soon and have time to relax.

@tjscraps Don't blame you for worrying about your DH... that sounds so scary! What a shame that it takes so long just to get the bloodwork done.

Time to get off the computer and shower and get dressed. CYL

Good morning ladies. The backyard is mucky and wet but the flood has receded from back there. Half the grass is gone and is just a big muddy mess. The power stayed on so yay....hopefully we are done with that for awhile. I got out with the dogs yesterday afternoon to the dog park and they needed it. They ran and played in the large rain puddle pools in the bush and were flying all over the place. Remi played for quite awhile with a doodle pup, chasing each other thru the bush. Her new treat ball came yesterday and she loves it. I put her kibble in it and she eats breakfast and dinner that way. It stimulates her more to run and chase after her food then to just quietly eat it out of her bowl. Any way to keep an aussie active and engaged is a good thing. They have so much energy. For dinner I toss half to her in the air and let her catch it. She hardly ever misses. Then I sit on the floor, tossing it across the kitchen floor while she chases it. Taz lays beside me and gets his pile of kibble to eat (he's not interesting in chasing after it). So neither dog gets a food bowl anymore.

I've got a ton of work this week but that's ok b/c I know it'll quiet down a bit in December and around Xmas I'll get a few wks of almost no work.

Today I'm getting groceries later but that's it, I'll stay home and get work done.

@faerywings Yes, time is flying by now and it always does as we get closer to Xmas. I'm never ready for the holiday season. Yes, people are in panic mode b/c the news keeps saying that there are many road closures and trucks can't get in. I was lucky to get some bread and my creamer yesterday b/c the shelves were 3/4 empty of many staples.

@taxed4ever You and Gary are so good to his parents. I bet your Xmas tags are lovely. Show us a pic.

@BrightEyes Sounds like a good plan to rest the knee.

I'm getting another coffee and getting back to work. Have a great day everyone.

Good afternoon, all! Just getting over here - I've been working on Pre-Leases that are needed ASAP and just posted Vicki R's release (with the brightened pictures from the photoshoot. LOL Kay @BrightEyes I'm glad it's not just MY eyes! I just like much more vivid color. I shared those from Ava's page, and didn't edit any of them. If you'll look at my "story" on FB, I edited them a bit, Still not quite where I want them.

Trudy @taxed4ever you sure sound busy! I'm so glad that you have so much "fun" and glad the water is receding. Adrienne just came down for a few minutes and brought me some goodies. She makes this mini chicken pot pies (in muffin tins) and they're SO amazing! I don't usually eat much during the day, but I sat right down and ate. She fixed me a plate to make sure I ate. LOL I would have saved them for my dinner. If I eat during the day, it starts my "eating engine" and I just want to eat and eat. LOL

Chris @faerywings it's such a traumatic thing and Chris's teacher probably got through to him like nobody else could have. She KNEW what it was like! Yes, my second oldest grandson has been a cutter for years. That made it extra traumatic for Ava when she got accused of that. He's been a "handful" since he was a very little boy. Adrienne's had a lot to deal from that boy.

Well, I'd better go see what else I need to do - Lila stayed to play with Daisy, so they're both laying here looking at me - they think I'm going to do something wonderful. LMBO

Waving to all.

It's a specific test (breath), but right now with covid you have to book ahead, they don't do walk-ins. His doctor called him today to find out why he hadn't done the test yet (he didn't have the results back so knew he hadn't had it done) and got him an urgent appt at the hospital in a neighbouring town tomorrow. So that's good news!!!
