:fear:Am I allowed to freak out a bit over being halfway through November? Just a tiny bit, I promise.
I do not get it, time is flying even faster than I feel like it used to fly by. It is all so strange!
I was in a yucky mood yesterday, just down and blah. I feel the same today. I am sure so much of this is because of the weather and shorter days. It is so dark at 4.30. One good thing about "time flying" is that soon it will be Dec 21 and days will get longer. (ignoring that it also officially winter on that same day)

How was your day yesterday? Mine was busy. Cleaned. My mom came and we chatted then went to the diner for lunch. After she left, I had to go ing the attic to get my winter snow boots, put away the last of the Halloween boxes and find my box of some winter clothes that I had packed away.
At one point yesterday, the weather said 3-5" and then 4-8"-- that one I didn't buy, but after our October "Snowmageddon" in 2011(?) when I swore it wasn't going to stick... I never say never when it comes to the weather. (hahaha!)
So I want to be prepared for some snow and ice even as I hate thinking about it.

Today, I have so much work to do at my desk. I have Ocsraps stuff, bills to pay, and start getting more organized for the holidays. I am going to spend some more time with Muffin. She isn't looking good (or smelling good). Her tumor is necrotizing and as clean as Cait keeps it, there isn't anything that she can do to make it better. But Muffin is still affectionate and happy and enjoys her baby food turkey and cheerios. But I think it won't be long...:(

One thing that I have to do is pay attention to my back. I moved wrong last night and oh wow, it is twinging but good. sitting too long makes me stiff, the cold makes me ache and I feel a flare coming on. I have to make sure I move regularly but not too much. Should be um.... fun?
Have a fab day and hugs to all of you!

PS: Still no word from insurance companies...

Trudy- that stinks about the weather being uncooperative for your hike. You have to be very careful about the wet leaves, I have skidded on them more than once getting pulled on the driveway by my dogs. So funny that I have internalized my mother-- when it rains in autumn I have to tell the kids to be very careful that wet leaves on the roads are slippery. Now they laughingly repeat it back to me.
4 more calendar pages to go, you will have that done in no time! :high5:
The MM paints sound like they would be a blast to work with, please share pictures of your projects!!

Rae- Sorry to hear that your weather was yucky too. Bet you wish you could send it south to CA like I could send ours west.
That is great news that Taz likes the new food combo- yup our pets are worth all of the work they make us go through :pupkiss:
He sure is a sweetie!
I am in the club of not ready for the holidays too. I told my BFF that my 2018 Motto is #NotReady LOL

Waving hi to everyone! xoxo

Morning ladies... well what a nice surprise I got when the sun came out about an hour before my hike. So I txt the hike leader and said that I would meet them all at the trailhead. It turned out to be a really nice day for the hike! We actually got very warm temps that reached 15C. that's 59F. almost summer like weather LOL. Who knew that the weather could change so much in just a few hours?? :noidea: The bottom part of the hike was covered in very slippery wet maple leaves, but as we climbed the terrain changed and no more leaves. Bing's Creek is always a beautiful hike and after all the rain the creek was full and there were some lovely waterfalls too! I did not take any photos, because I did this hike in the summer and got some stunning photos then, so no sense repeating them. I have so many hiking photos on my EHD and phone I really need to get these scrapped before I forget where they all are LOL. So today I am staying home and working on my projects and then at some point will meet up with my sister and get some eggs from her. It will be nice to catch up on things with her, I haven't seen her much this fall

Chris - I will share my projects once they are all done and ready to mail out. Thanks for your concern about the slippery leaves LOL. Nice to have a mommy figure worried about me :becky: Glad you got in a visit with your Mother and you got to eat lunch together! Sorry that little Muffin is not doing so well, poor Cait!! I am trying not to freak out over the fact that November is almost past us too!! :gaah: where does the time go?? It's ok just breath and get one thing done at a time right?? I hope that your back feels better soon! Crazy how just one quick movement the wrong way can totally ruin your day!

Rae - Did your weather change drastically yesterday too?? I could not believe how nice it got so quickly after that downpour we had in the morning! How nice that you found a new place to get food for your Taz!! I hope he continues to enjoy it! You do go through a lot of work for your little buddy, but like you say, he is totally worth it of course! Yes the Salmon run is on and so the Eagles will be plentiful!! How great that you and Jen will go to Harrison Mills I have heard it is a spectacular site to see all those Eagles! Take lots of photos!! We get lots of them in GoldStream Park on the drive through the Malahat, but after the Salmon Run it sure is one stinky place to drive through LOL. Hope your workload is not too great today!

:hello: Nancy and Jean I hope you are doing something fun today! Nancy I see you have been a very busy scrapper with your hockey pages!!

Anxious to get started on Sadies Christmas gift this morning so I will pop in here later and see who shows up!

good morning - well I am to get snow this am. My phone's wake up message was Its Freezing. LOL Had a good talk with my sister. Luther was outside on the deck and I had the door shut and while talking to my sister he is pawing to get in. Poor boy. He does not bark to get in just paws the door. And I have been not feeling well. Yesterday was the first day I felt like the old me. I think I have discovered that I need sleep. I cant stay up until 3am reading a book or until 1 am watching hockey. LOL I am old. Fortunately there is a DVR and I can record for watching later. My team won at home on Tuesday but they do not do well on the road. Tonight they play on the road in Philly so that should be interesting.

Chris so sorry you are not getting anywhere with insurance but not surprised as this is the time for all medicare people to be making their choices so probably taking up lots of time. But still it is not an excuse for them to behave like this. There should be more people on staff and those that actually know what is what. Good luck. I too really dislike the day light being shorter. Feel better. Sorry that Muffin is not doing so well. I think it is too cute that she like baby food turkey and cheerios.

Trudy and Rae so sorry that the weather is so bad.

Trudy bummer that you could not hike. That is no fun! Your calendar is going to be awesome!

Rae I looked up where you and Jen are going for a girls weekend. I am so jealous. The website said thousands of eagles. I cant wait to see your photos.

Jean hope you are not getting to much snow.

Have a great day all!

Well, another early morning wake-up... 3:45AM! Ugh!!! Couldn't back to fall asleep.

Been having fun playing with some of the photos my son Jeff took on their 5-week BIG TRIP... traveled to Australia [Sydney area] then to New Zealand; back to OZ [Melbourne] and along the Great Ocean Road; then to Hong Kong! They are heading back home to Maryland today. I am so glad he likes taking photos and letting me play with them. I am sure you will see more of them in my LOs in the future.

Brrrr... another cold start to the day. 25 again this morning! Hoping it warms up to the 50's again today like it did yesterday. I dug the BIG turkey out of the freezer and tucked it into the fridge so it can start thawing. Will be cooking it on Wednesday... along with the dressing and gravy. May even bake a pumpkin pie. Most of the family doesn't care of it - but I love it.

Trudy, glad you got your hike in and had good weather/temps for it. LOL over you having too many photos of hikes! I will be looking forward to seeing more of your LO with some of those photos. Hope you have them stored in an extra place, too... my DD lost a bunch of photos from her phone. Not sure what happened but she can't find them and her cloud acct didn't get them all.

Chris, so sorry about your back aching. Know how just a small movement can bring on aches! I have had 5 back surgeries but have been doing pretty well with it since the last one 10+ years ago. Just have to be careful with it. Do be careful going up into the attic to get things - my cousin's wife fell coming down from their attic last month... face down onto the concrete floor.

Thank goodness all the holiday decorations are down from the attic and in the spare bay in the 3-car garage. Going to be moving the Christmas tree/decorations into the house today or tomorrow. But I have to get a chair moved out of the living room into the family room and then switch the love seat away from the front window as that is where the tree will go. Always have fun decorating the tree as I have Christmas music playing and usually have some eggnog or hot apple cider to drink! That gets me in the holiday mood. I didn't get to do this the last 2 years due to Hubby's illnesses/stroke during that time. Hope this will help me get into the holiday spirit as this will be the 1st holiday season since Bill passed on.

Sorry I missed yesterday. It was the day of the monthly genealogy group at the senior center. DH stayed home to rake leaves instead but the group was good and we talked a lot about DNA. Still have lots of prep to do for my sessions at the computer genealogy group Saturday.

Chris, keep moving for your back but no strain. Yeah, easier said than done. Wishes to Muffin for continued time of enjoying her stay. Poor Cait and you too!

Trudy, what a surprise that the weather turned so pleasant and you did get that lovely hike in. I'm happy we saw Bohemian Rhapsody. I think you could consider it a celebration of Freddy Mercury, Queen, and especially their music and shows. It is not an in depth look at the people tending to gloss over much of the time. I think that is where some of the criticism has come in. If you enjoy Queen's music you'll enjoy sitting in the theater with the music all around you. Looking forward to seeing the results of your MM paints!

Nancy, yeah that you're feeling better and that the Devils won again. You sure got some good pages from their losses, but yikes! Can you imagine that the Browns now have more wins than the Cavaliers? We have mostly missed the snow so far. Saturday I saw some white bits but the snow was further east. This morning it tried here but warmed up to rain. Elsewhere maybe got snow. Hope our weather will warm up. All that summer heat could be used here.

Kay, oh no, another too early wake up. What an outstanding trip for your son. Nice he's sharing the photos. And I love your descriptions of how you go about decorating. Wishing you a happy time with that.

Rae, cool finding a new food for Taz. And really super for the coming trip to see all those eagles. We'll all be eager to see the pictures!

Hi ladies. Its been a busy day and I've not been on the computer much. I had a lot of desk work and had to pop out for some errands. I'm not quite done work but taking a five minute break. I'll start dinner in a bit and get Taz out for a walk (in the rain).

Chris - Sorry to hear how poorly little Muffin is doing. I'm doing the countdown to the longer days too, I hate how early it gets dark now.

Trudy - how lucky the weather cleared for your hike. We had rain off and on but I did get a walk in with Taz in between downpours. Can't wait to see all the projects you are working on.

Kay - sounds like you're very organized with your Xmas decorating. Not me LOL. How nice to get so many family photos to scrap. My family doesn't take any photos.

Nancy - snow already? Not us, just lots of rain. Taz is the same as Luther, won't bark to come in (or out), he will just stand or sit at the door and raise his paw to tap the door. If we aren't in the room then we don't know he is there LOL.

Jean - sounds like you are keeping busy with the geneology.

I'm getting back to work. I've got another hour or so until I can call it quits for the night and go relax (after dinner and taking Taz out for a walk). Hope you all have a great evening.
