Good morning, O-Fam! A very happy and grateful Veterans and Armistice Day to everyone.
Wow. I have nothing to say this morning. I am texting with my brother about Thanksgiving plans and have decided that we have way too many people that get along with each other in our family. All of the core family and extendeds get along so trying to figure out who is going where and whose year it is to host is making my brain hurt. At least I know where I will be (ILs). I will be there with Cait and Tom is meeting us there. I won't know about Gary until that day. Scott doesn't know if he is with us or with Leah and Arlene. Typically there is some sort of "joint custody" as Caitlyn calls it and everyone tries to house-hop.
*snorts* we never felt the need to do that with her ex and his family. Big difference now. <3
I am meeting Tom's family on the 21st. *gulp* His niece is going to be there (she is 9 months old, a baby!! Hope I get to play with the baby!) and his mom and I have been communicating through the two of them that we should meet at some point. Cait and I are both nervous. She has only met his family a couple of times so she is thrilled that I will be there too. I will probably end up talking to the chickens and dog. I can't wait to meet Lulu. She is a Silky (?) small chicken with big fluffy hair/feathers.
I think today is going to be the last "nice" weather day for a while, it is cold now but supposed to get into the mid-50s. I am not sure if I will bother raking today, there are still so many to come down. I wonder if the oaks in the back will drop their leaves this year. They are the kind of oak that doesn't always drop their leaves, last year they didn't. IIRC, they even stayed greenish. This year they are bright yellow, looks pretty from my window.
Today is going to be a catch-up on life day. I have errands to run tomorrow and am getting my Booster vax too. I want to be prepared if I feel crummy afterward. Gary didn't have any reaction whatsoever to his booster so I am hoping I am the same But I also wasn't expecting to be so sick after #2. Better to be ready. Cait and Scott need to get theirs done too- esp Scott. (J&J).
I guess I have rambled enough.
Wishing you all a wonderful day!
