I can't complain about being tired to Gary today. He was up with Lil Pup at 2 am last night. She was whining and he tried to get her out of her crate and outside, but before he could, she ran off and pooped in the dining room. Then she needed a bath. Poor guy! I took her out at 5am, and she peed! Brought her inside, and she pooped again. I was trying so hard to be super-quiet getting my coffee this morning, I didn't want to wake her.
It is really and truly like having a baby in the house! Thank goodness that puppy training doesn't take as long as toddler/child/teen training does. That never ends hahahah!

Yesterday, I spent so much time online trying to find cute puppy names and my brain was reeling from it after a while. She is going to be either Jada or Jasmine. I like Jada, but I think everyone else likes Jasmine.

Today I am off to go food shopping. In the store. Eeek. Other than that, not much else except puppy play. :D
I have to do my saline IV this afternoon- the one that takes 6+ hours so I am not going to be able to get one the floor and play but the good news is that I also won't have to take her outside and sit for 15 minutes saying "Go Potty" over and over. Maybe I can work on a LO of her while I am tethered to the IV pole.

QOTD My fam is asking everyone- so there is no reason I should bug my O-Fam about it too. *big grin*
Jada/Jade or Jasmine/Jazz?

Welcome back Nancy!!!!! (you really should put a link to your gallery in your siggie if you don't mind me suggesting that, I know that you are going to have some amazing pages up soon)
Your trip sounds absolutely wonderful. I love the story of the haunted car. Sounds like my house!!
How awesome too that your friend got to see 4 more birds on his Bird-Bucket List. (Does that sound to much like a KFC Bucket? I don't mean it too!), were they on your list too?

Nancy, Jean and any other Birders, do spring birds stop chirping during the seasons? There has been a family of birds near Scott's window that had woken him up at 5 am for the least week or so. You know they must be loud if they can wake a teenager up ;)

Trudy- coffee with YMG and a book in bed- sounds wonderful!!!
ITA about the technology. My kids had to do research papers this past year and it is so hard for them to do it through "hard" resources for lack of a better word. They have no idea of what it is like to do a research paper using microfiche, index cards with handwritten notes and the bibliography scribbled on the back. And on a typewriter which no correction tape
Good times man, good times.

Oh no, Sharon- hail is awful, esp for new plants. Plain ol' rain is good, but heavy rain and hail ... :( I hope that they all bounce back.
What a mess with the house. I wish I could offer words about patience, but ya know that would make me a hypocrite. Good thoughts that the sellers are ok with waiting a bit longer.
:whoo: on 15 laps!!!!

To everyone who comes in today-- hope that you have a wonderful day! xoxo

good morning - Well yesterday was full of errands and only time to organize photos. Had to go grocery shopping and then bill paying, then cooking and then my son asked me to get his prescription and get it filled. Then I watched hockey. It was a great night for me as the teams I am cheering for both won. The Tampa Bay Lightning scored the winning goal with only 1.1 seconds remaining in the game. I think the Canadiens were just waiting for overtime but the Lightning wanted the win. Then the Capitals defeated the Rangers. I did get in a walk downtown to pick up some wine for dinner. It was good as all the dogwood trees are in bloom. Now today I really hope to get some scrapping done. More hockey tonight and also coffee with my girlfriends. Should be fun.

Chris saw your Facebook photos of your new puppy. Beautiful dog and very lucky to be in your home. And boy are you right about training. I am still training my youngest LOL. Hope the grocery shopping goes well. I would put my gallery in my sig if I knew how LOL.

Sharon so sorry about your plants. This year we have been lucky and now rain to ruin the flowers or tree blooms. But I came home and my car is covered in green pollen. It is amazing. My lilac is in full bloom and smells so good! Congrats on swimming so many laps so fast! Awesome!

Trudy how fun to go back to bed and read! Looks like Montreal might be swept by the Lightning.

QOTD - I like Jazz as she seems pretty energetic.

Have a great!

Morning ladies... Off to the Internment of my BIL, it will be a sad day for everyone, reliving this all over again, it just can't be a good thing? Hopefully this is the turning point for my SIL and perhaps she will move on now. Taking flowers to place on Mom and Dad's gravesite also. I only manage to go about once or twice a year, but they are in my hearts every single day!! I still miss them both terribly!! On a the bright side though it will be a gloriously sunny and warm day for all of this and the drive will be nice too! I opted to take my own car and not ride with MIL and FIL they will have others with them anyway. It will be nice to just listen to my own music and enjoy the sunshine!

Chris - It will be like being a new parent all over again for you and Gary LOL! Cleaning up poop is not something that would be willing to do anymore I am afraid. I am sure you will have this sweet puppy potty trained very soon though! Hoping she brings you lots of joy and laughter!! Looking forward to your many new puppy pages!! Oh and I posted my choice for puppy names on your Facebook page.

Nancy - So many errands to catch up with after your amazing trip! You are so lucky that you get to go on the excursions!! All of my funds for travel seem to have to go to visit my children and grandchildren, which is great, but once in a while I would like to just go somewhere that I would love to explore!! Going to the Louvre in Paris is on the top of my list! DH and I cheered loudly when the Lightning won the game last night!! Sweet Victory!!
The pollen really is thick this year everywhere it seems! Don't you just love the sweet smells of Spring??

Hey Sharon:wave: great news on the increase in laps for your swimming!! Soon you will double it with no trouble at all! Glad the earplugs are working for you too!

Well the Dentist visit was very long, but I am all set with my new temporary crown and by the end of the month I will have the permanent one placed. Absolutely no pain this time, it was nice to have it go so smoothly ! Slept horribly last night so hoping to crawl back to bed in a bit for a nap. It won't be for long though as I have to leave around 9:30am and its already 6:45. Hope everyone has a fab day!!

Jazz. Jazzy! Perfect dog name. or cat name. ;)

But I'm with Trudy. I cannot even IMAGINE house-breaking a pet again. EVER.

Nancy, I can imagine the pollen-covered car. Last week, after wind and rain, I drove past a car totally covered in pink cherry tree blossoms! Poor guy! I know it would take a power washer to get it all off!

Re. laps: DOUBLE????!!!! How many laps do you swim, Trudy? I was thinking 20 would be plenty! Glad you had a pain-free time with the dentist. Hope today goes well, and brings your SIL closure.

Yes...our travels are centered around children/grandchildren in Utah (okay...and twice a year, golf in AZ!), but we are enjoying driving there, then exploring Utah, Idaho, Oregon on our way home. After our next trip, we are heading west sooner, and going to drive the Volcanic Trail, up thru central CA and into Oregon.

Summer is back...for 3 or 4 days, at least. Lovin' it! DH and I are going to play golf today...just the two of us. We enjoy that so much...no competition, however subtle. They may pair us up once we get there, but it will be strangers, not friends.

"Toddler" step (as opposed to baby step) with the house. The manager at the lenders is ticked off that this is taking so long...ticked off at HIS employee/s!!!!!!! Wish he had stepped in sooner. He promises things should be settled SOON. We'll see. No happy dancing until the bottom lines are signed and they keys have been handed off!

Capris today. YEAH! DH still has great legs and can get away with shorts. I don't go out in public with shorts unless they are long Bermudas (hard to find, so I think I may hem up a pair or two of capris).

Did I mention that it is going to be in the 70s for several days? ;)

Chris, what a time puppy training sounds! Bet she enlivens things. For a name, currently she sounds more like a Jazz. Hope you are surviving and also shopping in person.

Nancy, your trip sounds great! I was thinking about you and did a Big Bend LO: https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=330590&title=big-bend&cat=all

Oh, my sister's biopsy only found lymph tissue but they still don't know what it is. She needs to schedule an MRI now but that is still pending. At least it isn't bad news.

Sharron, temps in the 70s sounds wonderful. It'll be great for golf. Don't worry about numbers with the swimming - you are doing SUPER.

Trudy, hope your day is good and the interment a positive step for your SIL. Bet your weather is nice too. We are supposed to hit 80 today and into the 80s for a few days. Sounds hot to me.

I'm meeting a friend in a bit to help with some things for the family history book she is trying to finish. We have White-crowned Sparrows in the yard now (they are only moving through) and singing too. Really like them. And Chris, birds mostly only sing for the breeding season which can be long or short depending on the birds.

Have a good one!
