The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Good morning my O-Fam! How are you all today? Hope everyone is great! we are having another rainy day here *quack* and man, it is getting old- totally on my nerves! Still is massive amounts of pain, and i know the damp doesn't help it. Nor does the cleaning jobs that I am doing, but hey, ya do what ya gotta do.

Caitlyn had her band and chorus concert last night. She looked beautiful :) She is just so talented musically and creatively- it all skipped a generation... but my two kids are amazing to me.
Did I tell you guys that she is writing a book? Yes, a book! She is using Word- and she is already on page 25. It is called Switches- about two witches that have a spell go wrong. It already has some twists and turns in it and her writing is simply terrific! Oh yeah, I have to brag-- here is a bit -- the first paragraph:
“Molly,” Ronnie growled, “stir it with more effort. We’re trying to make a potion, here.”
“I know!” I cried. I was tired of my sister always bossing me around without one thought about my feelings. A tear rolled its normal path down my cheek. “ I’m trying as hard as I can, this stuff is really thick and g-gooey.” My voice broke, and I began to cry.

After a few minutes of me struggling to stir the potion, Ronnie commanded, “Stop!” in a frantic voice, and raised one hand to stop me. With one swift wave of her empty hand, a match appeared on the table. She picked it up, and with one more swish of her hand, it was lit. Ronnie smiled viciously at the match and dangled it over the steaming violet potion in the cauldron.
My heart accelerated, and my mind raced. I had remembered that the potion that Ronnie and I were making- the one that would make Ronnie beautiful again- should have been a glowing shade of orange, not violet. In order for it to be violet, a tear must have dropped into the potion when I was crying.

She is 10! I can't write like that and I am 40 LOL

Anyway, some days I just have to live vicariously through my kids :D

Dawn- you make *me* laugh- My cruddy mood and whining in the mornings still make you smile? LOL! How is Davy today? Too bad you can give him oragel like you could with a baby. Or a teething ring.... guess that would get chewed to shreds in no time LOL
How has your head been recently? Hope no more migraines.

Sandra- I am quacking along with you!
I am thinking good thoughts for your Aunt. Hang in there, and think of us sending hugs if it gets too much for you.

Sally- aren't you glad you are a healthy-O and got to get the rest of your sleep? LOL I never know how you can stay up so late at night, but I guess it is b/c my days feels half over when you are getting up tee hee!

kelly- how was your company and cheesecake? I haven't made a cheesecake in ages- I have a recipe for a Bailey's Irish Cream and Choc cheescake thatis to die for. But yeah, most of my baking comes from a box ATM :) And yes, the sun peeked out here yesterday for about 10 minutes- at 7am! and then- Poof! Gone!

Clara- yay! No devil lady today! How is the camera? It is taking me forever to get the camera off auto too. Have fun playing!
And good thoughts to your church member, How sad....

And to all of my O-Fam! Sending lots of hugs!

Just wanted to poke in and say HI. I am still here :) my hubby deserves a medal for putting up with me! At least we've had nice weather so I can spend time outside, otherwise I think I'd go even more crazy. Lets all say a prayer that the full moon has its baby effect on my tomorrow...go gravity!!!!

Chris~ Cait's book sounds AMAZING, seriously, she has a talent!

I'll pop in later for more, I hear my little girls up!

good morning! I'm about to make myself some breakfast, and then I have to take Matthew to his check-up... I had to move it up a day because there's something wrong with his leg... he got up yesterday morning and said it hurt, but I couldn't see anything wrong... then later he was limping while he played... by ballet class it was like he was stiff at his hip or something... he was trying to run and it looked like he was going to topple over... it's still like that this morning... so off to the doctor we go!

Chris - thanks for the good thoughts... I looked at the weather and it looks like we'll have a couple of days of sunshine next week! Next week is Will's field trip to the zoo... it's showing a 30% chance of isolated thunderstorms, but I'm hoping we get good weather! Cait's book looks great so far!

Jos - go gravity! Hope your little man comes soon!

Have a great day everyone!

Chris-WOW, Cait's book is awesome, I gotta know what happens next! She should seriously consider writing as a career.

Clara-I imagine you are having a ball with your camera?! I still don't have mine off of auto, I have tried but...I seriously need classes LOL.

Sandra-I hope Matthew's leg is ok. I am sick of rain, too, it is soooo wet and yucky. It's not raining YET today LOL, I heard it was going to though.

Jos-I hope that moon works its magic. Do you feel ready to pop?!

Tali-how was the b-day?

Sally-I just read Chris' comment about your sleeping, and I say you need to get up with the rest of us, LOL. I am way jealous of your still being asleep when I am dragging myself to work :).

To everyone, I will get my butt in here tonight and say hi! Things have been kind of nuts around. Well, I'm running late as usual.....

xoxoxoxo

But remember, I'm a musician, and a musician has to be the most alert around 9pm! :) that is prime gig time! :) and you guys know that's the real reason I homeschool...so i don't have to get up for any buses!! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!

Good morning everyone!!

So, today I have a lot to say but it is only about one thing. I am so upset and angry with our local news...king 5! My sister works for DSHS (Dept. of Social and Health Services). She is a social worker and is now a supervisor. I love my sister and I think she is absolutely awesome. We may not always agree as sister's don't but I love her and trust her judgement in so many ways. Like I said she is a social worker and she is currently supervising a case that has been getting media attention. KING 5 Coverage

So, here's the deal...the story on the news is not even half of the story. Everything is portrayed as if DSHS is just trying to sabotage this poor little girl's life. They are trying to find the most suitable home for this little girl and the family that has had her for the past 4 years is not it. they think that just because they love this little girl they should get what they want. Unfortunately for them that is not how foster care works. I am just so angry at how these people are acting. When is exploiting a child ever in the best interest of the child. I have a HUGE favor to ask of you guys. My sister is on Oscraps and her user name is lolliee. If any of you can send her a PM and just say that you respect the work that she does I would really really appreciate it. The only place she checks on here is the healthy o's but she would check her inbox also.

I have watched very little news coverage since the Iraq war started. I hate what the news says about it...not that I like war but they tend to say that it is simply a big waste and that my brothers and sisters in arms are dying needlessly. I cannot believe that. I know too many people there to hear and see that. It just makes me upset, so the news is no longer a part of my tv time. Things like this just remind me how much I hate the media and what they do. There is so much good that they can do and yet all they choose to do is tell detrimental half truths.

So, I hope some of this made some sense. I am just so upset about the whole thing. On the King 5 site they allow you to make comments and my sisters name has been thrown around with some horrible things attached to it. I wrote a comment after the story about the holes in the story and got 11 thumbs down. That's funny to me.

Okay, I'm not sure that i said all I wanted to but I am running out of steam and am just so upset about it all, so I'm done. I may come back later when I am in a better mood. Thanks for being such an open supporting group that can deal with my ranting and even be supportive. I have never felt this way before. I have never had a family member thrashed in the news like this. Horrible!!

Just popping in really quickly to say hi!! :) DH came home last night so hoping things calm down in our little corner of the world, and that the sun decides to shine here. Rain all week -- dreary.

Clara - sorry to hear about the situation with the little girl. Sooo difficult I am sure for everyone involved. Keeping the little one in my thoughts and prayers that it works out for her best interest.

Hi everyone! Love to you all.

Hi lovely ones! Sorry I have been quiet lately, I'm in a funk I guess. Now I have a case of scrapper's block, ugh, I have 3 layouts started and just can't get anywhere with them. I'm sure come the weekend I'll snap out of it.

Clara-that's horrible about your sis and the news. I don't care for the media myself, they always seem to twist everything around to make it more 'interesting' or so they think. I'll be praying for her and the little girl.

Hi ME! Glad your sweetie is home, enjoy your time together!

Sally-LOL, you know we are all just teasing you about sleepin' in. Believe me, if I could I sure would. Definitely, let's take a class, LOL. I'm not good on manual that's for sure. If only I had more time :).

Ladies, I'll see ya tomorrow. I'm going to bed, got a headache coming on.
Love y'all!
