The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
GoooOd morning, O-zies!

No sun today but I am working on bringing my own sunshine. :sunout: Will it work?
No idea but may the odds be ever in your favor, to quote Effie Trinket. That's not saying much now, is it? Bwuhahaha!
[not saying that running a field trip in the rain is like The Hunger Games. Nope. We have snacks.]

How is everyone today? Yesterday for me was a little less stressful than Tuesday, so that was a plus. I got everything crossed off my To-Do list other than make an appointment to get my haircut/colored. As long as it is done before the wedding we are going to on July 3, I should be good. The best thing ever about my job is that I have a hat. No more bad hair days when I can put on a hat. At least no obvious bad hair days LOL.

The field trip is going to be a little challenging today. I am doing two rotations of the stream study which is going to be a muddy mess. I am not hiking to the upper stream, no way do I trust myself on the slippery rocks. That's a bummer for the kids- fifth graders- who would probably enjoy the hike up there. The lower stream is fine, just not as exciting. Then, I am doing a rotation for Survival Showdown, which is fire building. Great! Fire building in the rain. :/

Bring your own sunshine, Faery!
Sure, she says.

hehe.

Wishing everyone a lovely day!!

I have time for quick personals---

And, NO! You cannot depend on the car's computer to be accurate on the oil! When mine ran out last year and the car died on the road, the oil light had not even shown itself! As a matter-of-fact, I never see it except for when I start the car it flashes for a second!
Oh no! I am so glad that didn't happen to me, I would have been freaking out. One thing that irks me about myself is that I know how to check the oil, but felt that it was Gary's responsibility to do it (And to make the appt with the mechanic, which is still not done yet either )
Glad that your feet are better too!

@BoatLady Thanks for that info about redoing the oil change in 500 miles. That makes sense when I think about it. (See my response to Vicky why I don't typically think about it hehe)
I hope the weather clears up for you so you can do some exploring.

Is it raining all up and down the East Coast? Seems that way!

@Terri M I am so relieved you got home ok, driving in the rain like that is exhausting. Other than getting some food in the fridge I hope you have a low-key day and can relax.
Whew! Glad that DD's biopsy came back benign.
:floorlaugh: Please tell me you got a photo of yourself wearing the tablecloth bib!

@AK_Tracy I am not sure if I commented on your update in the other thread but I did read them all. Sending you more painfree healing hugs. The drainage straws and leftover holes sound awful and uncomfortable.

:grouphugyay:

@AK_Tracy Seems like you have been going through hell. I sure hope you are pain free soon. Sending healing vibes your way, I'm a long way away from you so it may talk a little while but there are a bunch of them. I assume you are at home now, it's always better to be home to heal.

@faerywings First of all you are sunshine...I always look forward to seeing what amazing thing you are up to for work. I'm so glad you are not pushing your self to go to the upper water...keep that ankle safe. Say NO to slippery rocks. The kids will enjoy it cause you make it all fun.

@Terri M so glad your daughter is ok it's always such a worry till the results are in. Follow up just to be safe is such a great idea.

Yesterday our weather was better. We went to the Airborne and Special Ops museum in Fayetteville. My husband was in the 101st Airborne in Fort Campbell Ky so it was an interesting to see the history of Airborne units. From WWI to present. Our military had and has some amazing courageous men protecting us. Thank you to all military past and present.

We went to lunch at a local brewery Dirtbag Ales so I had a stout beer...getting ready for Germany and the most delicious fish sandwich I ever had from Napkins next door. I eat allot of fish tacos and fish sandwiches but the one from Napkins was top notch.

Today is suppose to be 84 so we will have to find something fun to do. I need to get some groceries today and I want low counrty boil for dinner so we need to find a place that is good.. We leave tomorrow for Virginia where we are meeting some old Army friends.

Well today is dear daughters 26th anniversary. It seems like yesterday. I was a perfect weather day and everything worked put perfect.

Yes, at times it does feel I'm a tad too close to hell, but its getting better. I just have to remember I felt this way before, super sore and hurt to move. The only difference is the holes feel bigger since they were held open with straws. But its just one week today so why do I think I would be up and running around cleaning house and kicking butt? yep, cause I am dumb and think I am Wonder Woman!!! Just cause I had Underoos in WonderWoman doesn't mean I am. :floorlaugh:

Happy Anniversary to your daughter and SIL! What an exciting milestone.

I tried to sit outside yesterday. It was SO hot in the sun. Black pants made it feel even hotter. I think I had two 30 minute sessions outside. It was nice to get out. Today looks to be shaping up the same, sunny and warm. I think we just went past 18 hours of daylight. It sneaks past my curtains if hubs and I dont get the closed perfectly and let me tell you, it comes up early. I miss the deeper sleep of pitch black winter nights but they'll be back before too long. Not much planned today. Gonna become one with the couch and remember that It wont be long and I can ski without pain and next summer I can bike pain free and stairs will no longer make me cry. Need some coffee, where is my servant bell to ring? :giggle4::giggle4: Have a wonderful day!

So nice to have a quiet day. I only bothered getting dressed before lunch because someone was coming over to pick up a banner for Saturday’s 5K event.

Please tell me you got a photo of yourself wearing the tablecloth bib!
Of course!

Embrace the couch! Healing seems to always be slower than we deserve.

I love your photo!!! How adorable! Looks like it was a fun night.

yes, embracing the couch. Thankfully it has a lumbar that I can move and help alleviate some back pain. Sleeping like Barbie is hard. Stiff, straight, on my back. Unable to bend :giggle4:

I'm in here late, so I hope you are having/have had a great day with the kids!
This came across my email this morning about Lyme disease. I get this doctor's tinctures for my stomach. Anyway, thought you could read it, anyway.....HERE.

That must be my thinking on getting a fill-up on gas....Mark should do it! After all, I'm the one in the car most of the time! ;)

I think all us women think we are Wonder Woman at some point(s) in our lives! Mark gets frustrated when he asks to help and I tell him I can do it! ;)

@AK_Tracy When I had my first knee replacement surgery, way back in the dark ages of 2009, they (the medical establishment, I guess) were worried about regaining flexibility. So I was sent home from the hospital with a torture machine: For the next 10 days I had to lay flat on my back in bed, with my leg strapped into this contraption that bent my knee back and forth, back and forth, for a total of six hours a day. I couldn't read, I didn't have a TV in my bedroom (besides, that was before streaming, and I certainly wasn't interested in most daytime TV), I didn't have a smart phone to look at the internet. It sounds like the opposite of your "sleeping like Barbie." Thank goodness they stopped that by the time of my next surgery three years later. So while I can't say I feel it for you, I can empathize! Keep smiling!

Good Afternoon,
Unfortunately, the engine light is on again! GRRRRRRR!!!
The car has been hesitating and dying at times. Mark thinks it is bad gas, so had me get some stuff to put in the tank. I asked him if that would cause the engine light to come on. He doesn't think so. GRRRRRR!!!
My sister left FL at 11 this morning. I think it is about a 10 hour drive and she is expecting to be here by 10 tonight. That gives her an hour for stops. We shall see!
Tomorrow evening my daughter will arrive from OH. and on Saturday my sons will arrive from AL and WV.
The weekend will fly by! Always does when you want your loved ones to stay longer!
Have a great afternoon!

Think my mom had that torture device too for her knee replacements but they were only about 8 years ago. She didn't like it one bit.
