The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
I am so excited- I have no plans today and the weather is gonna be F-I-N-E Fine! Happy dancing while I do yard work! Well maybe not, don't want to give the neighbors the idea I am a bit odd. Nah, they already know. It rained last night so I should have an easier time digging if I need to.
Yesterday was a day- nothing much happened. The only bit of news is that Evi's lipoma is coming back already and Caitlyn is in shock- it hasn't even been a week. They have been encapsulated so she can't figure out what is causing them to regrow.

So that is it from me- if you can believe it. hugs!

Kay- How are you feeling today, back to normal? Hope the recovery day did what it needed to do for you. Thanks for sharing the photos, I like seeing bits of your lives here- the curtains came out fantastic, and your yard is so nice and neat! Very different than what I have here.
I need a bigger HD- even with all of the cleaning out when I got the new computer, it didn't make a dent. My b-day is next month so that's what I am going to ask for from my ILs. How is your transfer going?

@Cherylndesigns I never thought I would be so excited about someone else's wifi LOL!! Hope you enjoy it all! yay!! Just think of how much more time you will have.
Why is it that the naughty dog behavior gets followed and the proper doesn't? W follows J all of the time and J never follows W's lead. W will sit and stay and not bark while J goes bonkers- it doesn't rub off. SMH! Have fun with Lila-- is Kitty ok with two dogs in the house?

@tanteva Congrats on getting through the workday! Did everything come back to you or did they switch stuff up a lot?
$3.50 for a dress?? Are you sure you did the calculations right? (Not that I am doubting you but you can't get that price at a garage sale here) That is awesome. I need to get all new clothes this summer since 90% of what I own no longer fits. I wouldn't even know what is in fashion anymore but if it is old lady church clothes, I am probably not going to like it much either.
That is so neat that Urban can read in so many languages even if he has a harder time speaking. Fascinating!!
Hope that the crime show relaxed you enough that you could sleep well. I found the first few times that I had to socialize it wiped me out even when it was just seeing my parents. I imagine being on the job was a lot more "work" than that.

Yeah ... at least I think I got the math right. It was crazy cheap. LOL it was 30 Swedish krona, and 1 US$ = about 8.50 Swedish krona.

It was a slow day at work, really. Not much people at all. My workmate said it's usually slow this time of year, people are busy with the last weeks of school before summer and planning for the summer, they don't have time to read. I'll work again next Wednesday, maybe it's still slow then?

I'm making some kind of experiment for dinner today. I think it will taste amazing ... let's hope so. LOL I had some leftover cooked potatoes and an aubergine (egg plant) that I needed to use before it went too old. I peeled the potatoes and sliced them. Made a tomato sauce-ish thing with diced aubergine, onion, garlic and Quorn mince. Layered the potatoes with the sauce in a pan, and then topped it all with a basic white sauce with cheese in it. Will shove it in the oven soon, hoping it will be ok. Kinda like a Greek Moussaka with a twist.

good morning - it has been a strange few days. We actually celebrated our 47th anniversary this week but because I have one son who is going through a rough patch we did not really celebrate. It breaks my heart I can't do more for him. Then the other son is so happy it makes my heart happy. Yesterday was Livie's T-ball game. I know my son wanted me to come but I don't like the drive but being the good mom I sucked it up and drove myself there. But I knew what would happen. There were thunderstorm warnings for the early evening. If I had not gone there would be no storm if I went there would be a storm. Sure enough with about 10 min left to play there was lightning and thunder, rain and wind and an announcement saying clear the fields. It is a crack up to watch these kids play the game. The ball is hit and all the kids go for the ball and knock each other down just to get the ball. But no score it kept so it does not matter but funny to watch. I am not sure the are learning the rules again it does not matter if they stick with it they have many years. Also it is not like my son is at home watching baseball so that Livie learns how the game is played. I stayed at their home for a while until most of the storm had passed. And the drive home the rain stopped and I saw a rainbow. When I arrived at their home before the game I walked in and Elle one of the cousins was asleep on my son's chest. He is so happy! They even gave me dinner. Yesterday I also got my hair cut and it looks so much better.

@faerywings Chris the weather has been good for getting out. Glad you are getting your garden in shape. That is sad news about Evi's tumor coming back so fast. I am glad the dinner with the boyfriend went well. I loved ready about Cait's goofy grin. And I guess that it will be good the rain is coming for all the plants. We have this tree that this year decided to really grow. I looked it up and it is a Kentucky coffee tree. Seeds are supposed to be bad for kids. I swear we had never seen have seeds in all the years we have lived here. Does you Scott know any thing about this tree?

@tanteva Eva your dinner sounds interesting. I am never good at experimenting. Congrats on the dress.

@Cherylndesigns Cheryl congrats on the Wifi. It must be so exciting to have the speed! Welcome back to the world!

@BrightEyes Kay love the photos. Always good to have a rest day. The curtains are amazing. You are such a DYI person and I such a not that person.

Have a great day all!

Good morning everybody!!

Chris @faerywings sorry to hear about little Evie. Poor little thing. That was really fast! Thanks for being so excited for me! You girls know what I had to go through before! I still can't believe I did that for 6 months! Yesterday was a BANNER DAY - I downloaded 2 designer's pre-releases (14 zipped files in all) - right here in my office! Then I scrapped 2 brand new pages! I can't even describe the euphoria I felt! I feel like I've been set free!

Those dogs yesterday i-yi-yi! They're usually good together, until I get them outside and they see somebody and away they go! I just let Daisy's leash go and she bolts! If I didn't, she'd pull my arms out of their sockets! I'm glad these dogs aren't the only ones who play "follow the leader". Kitty is starting to accept them, I think. He hasn't batted either one of them in the nose for a couple of days. He wants to be part of the action, but keeps them at arm's length. He's starting to be a little beggar though. The dogs get treats when they're good, so here comes Sam to get his treats, too. They learn fast where there's food concerned. Haha

Nancy @nancyr you're such a good grandma to drive over to the game alone, then drive home in a storm. I'm sorry one son is going through bad times, and the other one is at the other end of the spectrum. It makes things tough for part of you to be happy when the other part isn't. :( Thanks for your good wishes about me coming back to the future! This wifi is lightening fast and I'd almost (almost) forgotten how much more I can get done! It came back to me just like riding a bike, though. Hahaha

Kay @BrightEyes I hope your "recovery day" helped. I'm glad to hear that you took a day to recover. You sure got a lot done!
I need to get busy - dogs are staring at me again. Hahaha

Waving to all.

Going to take another day to recover... the back, legs and feet are still stiff and a bit sore. Thank goodness the sunburn has faded on the arms and the face is clear. Glad I had a wide brimmed hat on while I was outside. Thought about going to get the potting soil but then remembered that this is Memorial Weekend and the crowds have already started everywhere. I called in for refills on my Rx's yesterday afternoon. The base pharmacy will be closed Friday and Monday so they won't be ready until Wednesday. Decided to wait and get the potting soil then and get groceries at the commissary. It will be a long day as I have several errands to run while I am out and about.

Cheryl, I could feel your excitement. How wonderful that the WiFi is working so well. Yep... it is great that you got some kits downloaded and layouts made so quickly. I would have let Daisy's leash go, too... no way to do you want to get pulled off your feet and fall. Glad the kitten is slowly making friends.

Chris, so sorry little Evie's growth is starting back again! Hope you can get a new HD for your birthday. I haven't got started on downloading stuff to my new one yet. Had a bunch of LOs to do and wanted them done first. It will take about 12-15 hours to back everything up. Have a Windows10 update due to be installed before I do the back-up. Thinking I will try to get everything done for May and start June off by doing the back-up.

Eva, that sounds like a nice dinner.... did you like it?? I have an eggplant/zucchini casserole that I love. May pick up the stuff to make it next week. Wow, your hubby is quite a linguist to read all those languages.

Nancy, that was quite a trip for you. Sorry about the bad weather but glad you got to visit with family while waiting for it to clear... and nice you stayed for a meal, too. Hope things improve for your other son.

Heard from my niece... she made the trip to Colorado okay and likes her new spot. She has been out and about taking lots of beautiful photos of the park and surrounding area. She is in the mountains and it is a great spot to spend the summer. So happy for her.

Hope you all have a nice Holiday weekend.

Hi again.

Kay @BrightEyes I totally forgot about Memorial Day! Yikes, you'll never get in anyplace. Yes, I'm SO excited!!! I've been able to download for 3 designers and make layouts for them!! Something I haven't been able to do for almost 6 months.

I'm glad you decided to take another day off. I ended up digging 6 holes today and planting my Hydrangeas and my Day Lillys myself. My back is barking right now - I decided, spur-of-the-moment to do it because we've had a lot of rain and the ground is soft. My husband was gone all afternoon and he was so surprised when he came home. I told him I'd probably need help with the tree, but other than that, I was able to handle all of them. The Hydrangeas were really big, but stayed nice and compact when I moved them. I filled the holes with nice top soil and I'm going to add Preen instead of that pesky weed barrier. I hate those things. He helped my DD and I lay it down in the first bed, but I made an autocratic decision that I wasn't going to use it today. I never have and I'm not going to start now. We have dozens of bags of top soil and just as many bags of mulch. If I have to pull weeds, so be it. Haha

Chris @faerywings I never answered your question about what kind of tree he got. It's a Flowering Crab Tree.

Well, now the thundering is starting and the rain will follow. I may not be able to get back out to plant for a day or so.

Is it just me or is anyone else not getting e-mail notifications when there are new posts in threads? I get some, but not all.
