Last day of the busy week for me, no school or major plans tomorrow. whew!
preschool grad was adorable. Caitlyn's little boy was so cute, singing his heart out. She did great- didn't cry at all, but I know she was really sad to say good bye. Unfortunately, we did not get to stay after for the "reception" part, b/c Gary's stomach was getting really bad. We joked saying that we should go find the Attendance VP and have him throw up in front of her. hehe.
Got my shopping list sort of put together, and then went outside for a couple of hours. The side of the house is such a mess, still so many leaves from the fall.
I made a honey sesame tofu/chicken recipe for dinner that was actually good. I had to keep the chicken separate from the tofu for Caitlyn's sake which meant double pots and pans, but if it gets her to eat protein, I am all for it. Tofu is such a strange consistency, but it really does pick up the flavor of the marinade. I tried a piece and while it tasted good, it felt weird in my mouth. Scott and Cait were loving it though so this will be a recipe put into the rotation.
Great news on the car! The mechanic checked it all out, said that there was a bracket or plate that had been put on bent after I had the brakes done last year and that is what was making the noise and pulsing when I would brake. $40. Yup- that is all it cost!!! We officially have a new mechanic.
One of Scott's friend's mom called me last night- we used to be good friends, and had drifted a bit as the kids got older, but she had been Dx'd with Lyme yesterday and had a lot of questions. Scott was on his way out to her house, so I gave him a book and a DVD for her to browse through a bit. I always worry that when people are Dx's with Lyme that they see my family and think this is how it is for everyone. She was most likely bit in April so she has amazing chances of 100% recovery.
That is it from sunny and finally warm NJ. Off to food shop today than who knows? :noidea:
Outside would be nice except pain levels are pretty high ATM and not likely to get better after food shopping. And no- I have a hard time sitting reading a book outside. If I am out, I like to be working. Silly of me, I know.
Hope everyone is doing great!
