What a pretty, sunny day we have today! Looks gorgeous out I wish I had the entire day to be outside but I don't. I have an hour or so between the FP and off to clean. I would like to power wash the patio. I brought the washer home from PA yesterday and can give it to my mom tomorrow. She is coming up to help me plan for the June Bash which is in 1 week and I am 100% unprepared.

Yesterday was a good day. It was nice being with my dad and Scott. Both of us said how crazy it felt to be up there for only a few hours. No suitcases and food, just us. When we got up there it looked like it was going to pour and it was freezing. But once the sun came out, it was perfect. Scott and my dad got so much done so quickly, they were finished before I was. I only got a small part of the parking area weeded. Next time I go up, I will do some more. We were back home by 3.30.

So yup, today is small, busy work. I need to go to the FP and pick up a few staples. Clean the patio a bit. Off to my neighbor's.

Hope that everyone has the beautiful weather that we have!

xoxoxo!!

Nancy- I don't think we got out of the mid-70's up here but it is supposed to be a bit warmer today and break 80* tomorrow! Yes!!! Bet you and Luther will have a great time out for walks today. I bet that Game 7 was very exciting and hope that the Cup will be as well. Did you get the coffee maker for your DH for your anniversary? 44

years!! Wow!!! :first:

Trudy- what a great bunch of people to have with you on your hike. Did all of the chatting slow you down or did it make the hike go even faster? What a mess with Shaw. I hope that they get everything figured out and finished today. I cannot believe (actually I totally can) that your neighbors still fight like that. Sorry that you have to deal with it all of the time.

Rae- I am so happy that Taz gets a great day with other pups. Luther too. It must be hard to be away from him. I know that even just being away from mine for a few hours yesterday made me miss mine and not only do they have each other, they had Gary and Caitlyn home too.

It must be a relief knowing that B is in a safer and calmer environment. I hope that the next few weeks help her to regain some of her abilities and memories.
You haven't been to the trailer in ages, do you think that you will be able to go this summer? I hope so.

Felis- thank you for the deeper explanation of marriage and culture. It doesn't seem right that a woman had toput in the same hours of work as a man and the still have all of the "wife" things too. As you see from my rants, I get aggravated when my family expects me to do everything, although it has gotten better- at least when I make myself ask for specific things to be done.

I have those types of days all of the time, where did it o and what did I do?

Hi again, Trudy! The hike must have been amazing! nd a treat to stop for a glass of wine together at the end of the day.

Love your quote for Felis!

jean- I cannot imagine how difficult the funeral planning is for all of you, especially since it is mostly being done long distance. :(
I am chuckling over your "good things"- a new crown and a tree service. LOL It is the little things!
I started the weeding in the "parking area" of the drievway because my mom always hates getting out of the car and not having it look "pretty." I hope that the weeds stay away until she gets to appreciate that :)

Anyway-- I better get my act together and start my day. Love and all food things coming your way~~~~

Morning ladies... A lovely morning with the sun shining brightly already, it should be a beauty of a day! I get to wait around for Shaw to show up and finish off the install of our new services. Then I have to pack up all the Telus equipment and get it shipped back to them. At least I shouldn't have to pay for that! Not too exciting of a day for me! However tomorrow Jason and the kids will be here for supper and are staying the night :bliss: Jackie is still in Boston but they will pick her up at the airport late on Saturday evening. So I only get the one night with the kids, but I will take what I can get. MIL and FIL are involved in a community garage sale on the weekend, so perhaps we can go and see if they need any help with that, our son needs to pick up his boat trailer that he has stored at MIL's and FIL's property as he has a few people interested in buying it. So a good excuse to go for a quick visit and see how the garage sale is going.

Chris - I am so happy for you that the weather is nicer and you can get outside for a bit and get your power washing started! Funny that you had such a quick day at your parents and that it felt strange to not be staying! Makes for a lot of driving, but at least you were outside getting some dirt therapy! Nice that Scott and your Dad work so well together! I am going to try to catch up a bit here in the gallery today and get started on a few more pages that I really need to get done, wish me luck!!

Jean - Glad that you got a lovely spot in the cemetery, but sorry you are still dealing with all the legal stuff! Yay for your new crown and the taking down of the poor dead trees! I sure hope your scrapping mojo returns to you soon, you have other things on your mind right now, so it will come back to you in time!

I hope that you all have a wonderful morning! I will pop in later to see if anyone else is here.

Beautiful day here too. The tree company came and it looks strange without the trees (one, an evergreen, had just given up the ghost but covered a lot). Was happy to see the oriole on the feeder later.

Chris, hey, those were good things! Just not momentous. Nice for Scott and your dad to work well together and you get quiet time outdoors. Hope today goes well too.

Trudy, the time is flying with the kids I see. Know you'll enjoy them. And check out the ILs and the sale. Thanks for the kind words. Hope I can concentrate of scrapping soon.

Hi to all.

You girls rocks,
I read Trudy's comment this morning and I'm laughing whole day  . Trudy, you are bigger romantic even than me, and I'm proud owner of complete collection of the Jane Austen's books. I do need to believe that the real love exist, but please let not happened to me on this age  ! I'm done with this topic five years ago when I made my final decision, and I'm pretty happy with it. As a believer who know that god exist, but no need to go to church, I prefer to not find the love so late :) . OMG, I'm on a age of your Heather and she have already 2 lovely kids. For some things is just too late! My plans are mostly one day to become aunt :) . I think I'll be great aunt.

I thought about that much today. Actually it's a not working day, because is one of hundreds holidays here. We celebrate creation of our alphabet and was planned child concerts and paintings exhibitions. But the whole day was rain and cold, so we refused and didn't go anywhere.

Chris, so good that you are had good weather! Hmm, can I ask what is June Bash ?!

Trudy, what a lovely plans with your kids and IL's! Hope on this garage sale to can find something interesting! Thank you that always knows what to say and how to encourage me  ! This quote, from yesterday is so lovely!

Jean, sorry that you have to remove these trees, but at least now you can replace them with some more healthy!

Nancy, you probably prepare something interesting for tomorrow.
