GooooOd Morning, O-zies!
I'm having trouble concentrating this morning, so many nature facts are flying through my head. That leads me to ask myself more questions, leading to more Googling... and more questions. LOL! It took me forever to fall asleep last night, silly Google on my phone was beckoning and calling out to my Squirrel-Brain.
I am learning exponentially at work and I can't get enough. It doesn't help that I am the least knowledgeable and that's something I simply can't accept. *G* Not that it is a competition, I work with the most amazing people. I just want to know as much as they do (eventually). Lauren can look at a tree/leaf/mushroom/rock/etc and 9 times out of 10 she knows what it is and has a ton of facts to share. Scott is the same way and it's no wonder they love hiking together. Scott (DS) and Lauren (my boss) went to college together and he recommended her to Weis after he was there, so that is how she ended up there. And he rec'd me to Weis. Small world and all that :D)
Anyway, they might need to me lead the Observational hike on a Field Trip next week. I know the trail and I know some of the features but that got my brain spinning up like a centrifuge. More like the Hadron Collider! I tagged along on the hike she led yesterday and we saw a family of deer, I think 6 at least. I couldn't get pictures but I have the ones to show you of the bear in my yard.

This is out of the window so the screen is part of the scenery. hehe. Decent sized, not a yearling but not the biggest we have seen either, not by a long shot.

Busy day today. Working with another third-grade class. On my way home I need to stop and get an ice cream cake. Scott is coming for dinner tonight and we'll celebrate Gary's birthday a day early. It's going to be near 80 today so I'm going to want to run and and out as fast as I can. I am going to be dirty and sweaty and probably have more leaves and twigs in my hair.

Wishing everyone a FAN-tab-ulous day!

@vickyday Even fingercombing my hair seems to frizz it all out. I've tried so many different things for it. Mostly I spray it with some curl-reviver and scrunch it up. Doesn't always work!
Yikes, that's good that the bike is in the shop, you don't want to take any chances with the brakes on it. I don't know if drivers in NC are as awful and inconsiderate as they are in NJ but drivers don't think twice about cutting bikers off.

@taxed4ever Did you have a wonderful hike? Hope to see some pictures/LOs soon! We miss you!

@BrightEyes That nightmare sounds awful, makes you wonder how long you were in that REM stage being so sore when you finally woke out of it.
I'm proud of you for accepting the help for spraying the weeds! I wish I could beat that into Gary's head- he was mowing the lawn when I got home. Tom has been offering to help and Gary won't ask. Me~> :shakingsense:
Good luck with Xfinity!

@AK_Tracy Thank you for sharing your story. I can't imagine how it must have been when you found out your mom knew about the condition and for years. I am like you, if my family's Lyme and health journey can help someone else, even to not feel so alone, I'm an open book about it. Both of my kids were in treatment for Lyme at the same time as my and my DH. Trying to be the caregiver and the family glue while being incredibly sick is such a difficult, isolating, and exhausting place to be. I'd say I admire your strength (which I do!!) but at the same time, it's not like you have a choice. :/ That used to drive me batty- sure I am strong, but there's no going back to bed for a few days and crying when you have little kids to care for.
I am not religious myself but I am always glad when people have a strong faith that guides and supports them ♥

@Terri M Have fun freebie shopping! Also, check out the 52 Inspirations Subscription. That is such a good buy.

@bcgal00 I saw your pic of Remi in the snow. What is she gonna do forthe next few months? Hope the dr appt went well! havr you found a new eye dr yet?

@Cherylndesigns Ugh about the storms and not being able to sleep. I can;t tell you how many times I find random bobby pins when I wash my hair- but I'm sure you know what I mean LOL! (we need a Medusa smilie!)
@joyfulheartdesigns We need medusa! STAT! :D

@pachimac Ugh about needing the CPAP! My brother uses one and he is 100% claustrophobic. It took a while to get used to it but he feels so much better now.
Good news about Melissa and her job!
AHHHHH!! That photo was *after* cleaning the bathroom?? hahahaha!

@mimes1 Oooooh, you don't have to take notes, not unless you want to! No one expects you to respond to everyone on everything. My tip if you do want to is to have yesterday's Ooos in one tab and the current in another. I have two monitors so I can go back and forth. But really, do *not* stress yourself over
(says the person who should have been off the computer 15 minutes ago but doesn't want to leave anyone out! pot meet kettle LOL)

Yeah, the drivers are just as bad here in NC. Sad thing is there are some pretty dangerous driving habits of the bikers, too! So they both share the blame sometimes! And people who cut their grass and blow it into the road.....that is dangerous for us bikers, too, as it can cause slippery conditions.

Quick in and out today.
I had a rough night. Was up and down with IBS issues. At least that's what I think it was. My stomach was upset all night.
I do have some posting to do. I finally caught up on my ATC cards and I want to post the five 8.5x11 sheets I have completed since I started this project in March while I was MIA. I got behind while on our PA trip. Plus I still have to do my monthly reviews for the year using Anna's template album. But that probably won't be started today. Just not feeling up to it!
Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Morning ladies... I had a wonderful hike yesterday! There were 24 of us on this one. The weather was perfect and the all the spring wildflowers were out in full bloom!! Part of our hike was through some lovely meadows that were filled with pink pacific bleeding heart, yellow Monkey flowers purple Camus and White fawn lilies. So pretty! Along some of the trails were lots of Trillium and Chocolate Lilies. It was a stellar day for a flowery walk in the woods! I did get a few pictures but none that really showed how beautiful it really was. This morning I am going for a Kayak with SIL Linda, its a gorgeous morning and the Lake is like glass, so I will be heading out right away. Still have not gotten my siggie done, but by the time I got home yesterday it was almost 4pm and I had to get started on dinner prep. So I am sorry but I will have to do some catching up this afternoon here at the O! I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!! :waving3:

Yes, we do @joyfulheartdesigns - or at least long, wild hair. :lol23:

Morning,

I'll be back later - Daisy and Lila went to the groomer at 7:30 and I went back to bed. Now I have to hurry up and get my grocery order finished because I didn't know we were picking our orders up between 3 and 4. That's after we go to Lowe's, so I suspect we'll be leaving before that. Yes, Chris @faerywings I have found debris in my hair, too, especially if I've been working outside. :lol23:

Yes, we do what we have to do. Its a mom/woman thing. What options do we have? I am so glad you said "its not like we have a choice" because that's how I feel. And people look at me like I am crazy. Oh youre so strong and look at what youre doing. hello? I didn't choose this but I can choose how I respond and sometimes ya do what ya gotta do! Just made me mad that my 3rd child was 13 before I knew what was wrong. We had been to doctors and my mom knew we were trying to help 1st son with his foot formation and gait yet she still never said or helped us figure it out. I was so angry, like font in bold size 72 all caps angry :floorlaugh: Dont mess with my kids and she did by keeping quiet. I cant imagine how hard it was for you to need treatment and to care for your whole family. That would be so hard. I'm glad you are doing good now and here to make us all laugh and warm hugs when needed.

Good morning!!! Its overcast and slight wind. Should dry the laundry on the line quickly. Today is a stay home day YEAH. If I had been here over winter you would know stay home days are rare. I usually get two a week. But its May and I get more and more as its summer. Well spring. Still waiting for the plowed snow piles to melt but there's more gone then left so yeah. We've had a couple days that were warm enough for the bees to fly but we dont have flowers yet so poor babies have to deal with homemade sugar water. Can I just say hot flashes STINK! I would use other words they're so bad but I wont. I had hysterectomy in 2020 but they left ovaries. I had hot flashes for 6 months after that. This past Feb I had to have another surgery and in the process they took one of the ovaries. So again hormone flux and ugh. The instant sweat from head to toe to then freezing to death is getting old. I also get nauseous when over hot so that doesn't help the feeling of ugh. I'm hoping it goes away again but in the mean time sleep is horrible and mornings are bad and ugh. WHY? Ok rant over. Back to your regular scheduled little dose of sarcasm.

My goal is to get another challenge layout done today. These are fun. Have a wonderful day!!!

Good morning ladies. I'll be heading out for a dental cleaning soon. Tonight is game night at the legion and I'll pop out with Remi beforehand to the dog park. Tomorrow I will be picking up a homemade wooden frustration (contract rummy) rules and score board in a little town 10 min away. It'll be fun to add that to the mix of games we play. I've got homemade euchre and sequence boards too.

I need to pick up some veggies to roast to add to my buddah bowl tonight for dinner. It'll be a nice light dinner before game night.

@faerywings Enjoy the family b-day celebration for G tonight. I know what you mean about wanting to know as much as the other instructors, I feel that way too with my groups. Many seem to know not just the birds but also the plants, flowers and trees. I know almost nothing and learning takes me awhile b/c I keep forgetting lots of what they say. I try to hold onto 1-2 bits of info each time we go out. I am proud that I can now tell the different between a flying crow or raven :)

@pachimac My hubs just got diagnosed at the Sleep Clinic and will be getting a machine soon. No idea how he will do with it. He wakes up a lot and also has low blood oxygen level when sleeping.

@taxed4ever That was a big group for the hike. Sounds wonderful and I am impressed that you know the names of so many of the flowers. Enjoy kayak time today.

I'd better shower and get ready to head out. HAGD everyone.

Morning, gals. Been busy uploading a few LOs this morning. I have another collection I need to make a LO for this morning and get uploaded ASAP. I got side-tracked yesterday when DD#3 and her son came over right after I downloaded it. Feel like I am running way behind already. So this will be a quick in and out.

While DD#3 was here, she helped me figure out how to get the Scrapping kits/LOs listed for easy access since I had shut the cloud link down. Geeze... I hate Windows11 makes you jump through hoops... but I finally got it set up now. She put a couple of photos on FB showing the sunroom with the treadmill in place an hour after they got it home. So glad to have it there and being used.

@taxed4ever So glad to see you popping back in... you have been missed!! Glad things are moving along for the in-laws move.

@faerywings I am sure you will be great leading the hike with the kids. I know the family will enjoy celebrating DH's birthday with him.

Back later... if I can get the LO made and post soon... HAGD

Yeah, I just looked at her and said, "Really??"

You should see her bedroom. Her friend is staying until Saturday and you literally cannot see the floor. I won't walk in there. I might die or break an ankle.

I'm calling to set up the CPAP today to use it tonight. I don't know why I'm so skittish about using it!

You don't want to ride a bike in Vegas. I hear of a bike down every day. Seriously. We have rude cycle drivers, but more so the rude drivers who don't give them room to ride.

Oh, I love to play Rummy !! We also had a game called Rummy cubes where you played with tiles.

I wake up a lot and apparently stop breathing for a few seconds but a lot of times. I think the sleep study was flawed, but ok...I'll bite. The CPAP comes with an app that tracks each time so I'll see for myself. They never told me how my O2 level did while sleeping, but I think this app will do that too.

@pachimac (It's my issue and I have to deal with that low self esteem and body shame issues.
I was given a full face mask because I start my night breathing through my nose, but end up being a mouth breather, and nothing I've tried has helped that. The full mask is the only way it will work with my combo breathing.)
When I say I totally understand, I was body shamed from my earliest memories because I wasn't a Barbie doll. I'm 71 and while I've gotten better about giving myself positive talk, it still takes effort. We aren't defined by numbers including age.

Everyone is in such a hurry & whatever they are doing is way more important than what I am doing. In Key West we returned our bikes a few days early because we preferred walking and that wasn't always safe. Hubs & I don't road ride, but are lucky that the trailhead for a bike trail is in our town d in the summer we ride 13.5 miles to a large city for morning libations. We could continue on their trails, but we're happy just doing the round trip.

@faerywings I took your advice yesterday and just played all day. I know you didn't say all day, it just turned into that. I'd never really done extractions so I used some of my Anna skills. I just dragged things, rotated things, and blended things. Sort of like Dr. Seuss. I know hubs is wondering if I'm ever going to do anything besides scrap & forget I started laundry. Forgetting laundry is not anything new, but the constant scrapping is something he's never seen before.

We are getting packed to be ready to leave for our bike tour tomorrow. It's a challenge because we can bring only one carry-on size piece of luggage and one backpack per person, and everything we need for 8 days -- including our bike helmets -- have to fit in there. It always works out, because we'll be able to do laundry half way through, but it takes some cramming. The helmets take up half a backpack each. The weather forecast is calling for some shower-y days, so we'll also need rain gear. Regardless, we'll drive to Cleveland tomorrow to meet our shuttle to Cincinnati on Saturday morning.

Between traveling for Dad's memorial service, a week of Disney with the grandkids, and now a 9 day bike trip, I'm falling crazily behind on making my pages. I guess I'll be busy with them a good part of the summer. I've promised the girls Disney photo books, so that will have to take first priority when I get home. But I know I'll be excited about the bike trip and want to do those pages.

I cant wait to see your bike layouts!!! And the Disney layouts. I hope you have a moment to relax today before you head out. One thing I found in packing that I am sure you already know, rolled clothes fit better than folded. Dont know why. Can you hang your bike helmet off the side of the backpack?

Have a wonderful time biking!!! I am so envious of your bike trips. Our bike paths are just now cleared but my bikes not ready to ride. Need some air in tires and energy in the body LOL

Can't hang the helmet off the side for the shuttle. They have a bin built on the trailer where the bikes are towed, and all the luggage has to slide into that bin. After the first day, since we're done with the shuttle, we don't have to do that -- if we have to get driven somewhere again I'll just wear the helmet in the van (and stick it under the seat when no one is looking).

I love your new siggy!!!! Adorable and the wine glass is perfect.

Hi Everyone! I don't know where today went and I'm too tired to do personals! Have a good sleep everyone and I'll see you tomorrow.
