Is it me or is this week going by kind of fast? Maybe because the weather is finally shaping up nicely? Or that I am so busy I haven't had time to be bored? All of the above?

Yesterday was my "day off" but I spent most of it fighting with steam cleaner. The last two times I tired to use it, it wasn't sucking up the dirty water. Or it was-- but very sporadically. We bought a new gasket seal to fix it and it worked again-- sporadically. Better than before, but still not right. Its only 3-4 years old so it shouldn't be dead yet, even with the amount of use it gets from me. I have a spot carpet cleaner that i will have to use from now on, until Christmas maybe when I can ask for one as a gift. Yipppppeee. NOT.

I also was able to get some yard work done- I had soaked my morning glory seeds and I had to plant them or they'll get moldy. But the sun was nice!
And I tried a new recipe-- pasta with asparagus and peas-- which was a LOT of work for kind of bland taste. I still have to post some of the new recipes I have tried -- it is on my to-do list for today, so I hope to squeeze that in.

On the agenda today-- babysit, dog goes to the vet for her exam/shots, then work. Paying bills and posting some LO's are also on the list. Sounds like fun, eh? ;)

Hope that your day is more exciting than mine!! :pound:

Temptation on Thursday
rip out all of the carpeting in my house and get Pergo!

ack!!! I just went and grabbed some more of my miracle drink (aka coffee, in case you didn't figure that hehe!!) and now that it is brighter inmy kitchen (sun coming up) -- oh man, my kicthen is FILTHY!!! I was going to clean it while dinner was cooking bu t it was one of those 50 different pots and pans and 6 different parts all cooking at the same time (*slight* exaggeration ) so I guess all I did was make more of a mess.
I'd better add that to my To-List too.... *sighs*

Laurie-- oh yeah-- I see you are in warp speed too. It feels more like ludicrous speed though (Space Balls, The Movie reference ;) )
So nice that you have a vaca at the end of the busy-tunnel!! Woot!!!

Phyllis- steam cleaner-- I have a Bissell, it is my second Bissell. My MIL and mom both have similar ones. They seem to have their quirks but when they work, they work good. It always amazes me how dirty the water comes out (when it actually gets sucked back up!!)
Gary has been looking online at woot.com for commercial steamers but they are over $300 on sale. Not happening.
I don't have any experience for any other brands and I tend to take online reviews with a grain of salt. Sorry that I am no help.
Good for you on the good bones-- I gad a DEXA done about 8 (??) years ago and they found my bones to already be showing a lot of loss. I have osteopenia. Too young for that... :( Do you want to share your bones? I can help you have with a healthy bladder LOL
We are making grilled arugula/red pepper and mozz cheese sandwiches on the grill tonight. And some of the asparagus left over grilled too. I love grilling weather!!!

Nancy-- thanks for the recipe link! What a great "find" in the park! Sounds like a neat app to have too.

Angela- hoe that you are feeling much better today. How was the playground? Bet the boys love being out and about!

Kristi- one more day!!!!! Yay!!!!
Thx again for sharing that calender. I had to google Russian Twist and found two versions- for now I am going to do the feet on the ground (easier!) version. And since I am already doing about 80 sit-ups a day I am going to stick with that and add in the new stuff on top of it.

Trudy-- hope you enjoyed the pampering and hair cut! You deserve it. So good to hear that your DD is doing good-- even no center of gravity issues. She was athletic beofre her illness, IIRC? Maybe that helps? I had horrible issues with balance when I was pg. Could be that I was so short that the babies had nowhere to go but completely *out* I should find some pics of me pg-- hystericallllllll....... :p
I am going to check out the movie clip soon to.

oh drat. I totaly lost track of time....

xoxo

Full scedule again Chris ... and yes the week is going by fast, eventhough we don't have full scedules, I have the same feeling.

Good luck Laurie at the dentist, hopefully no problems!

No plans for today, I decided to take a few days off, only the basics around the house (wash, dishes, cooking, etc.) and the rest I spent on scrapping, posting my pages and checking out all the happenings around iNSD

have a great day girls!

Hi Laurie and Angela!

Back from bus stop #2, having a quick b-fast and then off to do more housework before I try to coax Ravyn to go for a "car ride." Always fun ;)

Sally-- don't wave to hard, I don't want your arms to pop off! Although I have this visual in my head-- do all of you have that tall blow up stick figure that businesses put outside to attract attention? Its like those fan-driven Christmas lawn decorations but it looks like a stick bug with a face and arms that wave. I have this image of one of those thingies with a Sally Face on top!!!

Phyllis- yup, super proud of that kid!! I made him put his report card on the fridge

CYNTHIA!!!! DO I have to say it again?? No need to apologize for not being here. This is a Stress-Free Zone!!!!!!
:D
I am really glad that things are better with you and Sarita!!! And feel better too. xoxo

Laurie- good luck atthe dentist and getting all of your errands done :)

hugs everyone!!!

There is no way that today could be as busy as yesterday (yay!)

Today, I plan on spending more time scrapping, playing in the forums and commenting in the galleries! ;)

My 3 yo has his dentist appointment, the other 3 kids have 1/2 day at school and then Open House tonight.
I do have some cleaning up to do as well - I have been so busy, my house looks like the tornado from Wizard of Oz went through it.

Morning all... Wow another sunny day and more on the way for the weekend!! Temps getting nice and warm by Saturday. Sorry those of you still in winter, man everyone has had such a long winter!! I had a very good day yesterday as we found out that our favourite Band in the World is playing in Vancouver this September and we scored great seats to see them!! On the floor just a few rows back to see the Eagles Woooo Hooooo!! Can't wait!!

Chris - You are right this week is whizzing past us way too fast!! That's too bad that your steam cleaner is not working properly!! My mother had one of those Bissell's and now that she is no longer with us, the three girls all share it and sometimes it cleans great and others not so much :noidea: Yes DD was athletic before her illness, she was a wonderful dancer and played lots of sports, it still makes me cry to think that she will never dance again  Probably bothers me more than it does her LOL. Good luck getting the dog into the car and to the vet!! Not a fun job! Hope the sun shines for you today!!

Laurie - A very busy day for you today!! Although I doubt very much that you will get any sleep in the dentist chair!! You must be so glad to be going on vacation!! Lucky you!

Angela - No plans for the day sounds very nice!! Hope you get to spend lots of time shopping for INSD!! I have to check out a few things too!

Kristy - Ugghhh not more snow again!! Oh well sounds like your dogs enjoy it :becky: Hooray for hubby coming home, you must miss him!! Better get that juice today!! LOL

Meagan - You are one busy Mom!! Hope you get to have that spare time to do some scrapping!! Not sure when you are going to fit it in though??

Ok well I am going to get busy doing some scrapping today and some painting. Also fit my walk in and do some weeding in the garden. Hope you all enjoy your day and that the sun shines for you today!!

good morning - late today as I had my weekly talk with my sister. She is keeping track of how many days until we leave together on vacation - 75 days until we leave for Paris. We are both excited but I am feeling like what do I take to Paris to wear. I love my jeans but feeling that might be a little casual LOL. Had a great day yesterday as Chris has been saying we are having great weather. On our daily walk my girlfriend and I in the middle of our downtown and right outside the post office a red tail hawk was being chased by a very angry sparrow. They were just a little above our heads as they flew by! It was so cool. I am pretty sure this is probably the same hawk I saw before. Enjoyed another night of hockey.

Chris sounds like you and your steam cleaner have a real love/hate relationship! LOL good luck with the dog at the vet! Congrats on the great report card from your son!

Phylis congrats to those Penguins! They looked unstoppable.

Trudy congrats to those Bruins. They looked unstoppable too. Perhaps it will be a Pens/Bruins conference finals. I love the Eagles - went to one of their concerts and it was great!

Angela enjoy the shopping!

Kristi thanks for that workout schedule.

Megan you are one busy mom!

Have a great day all!
