Guess who is throwing up again?
This is breaking my heart and stressing me out. I don't know how to help my baby and I hate the school stress and just want this to be done with. I was going to say that "I want this to be OVER" but that sounded way too dramatic. :drama:

I am just at a loss. I really am. It's funny, not in a ha-ha way, but I actually was dreaming about Caitlyn being absent and me having to go to the school to talk to the VP in charge of attendance again. Yesterday, she got a letter inviting her to a bagel b-fast on Friday with the principal for the kids that made High Honor Roll in the 3rd Marking Period. Between the Award Ceremony on Monday and that letter, all I kept hearing was how students like you make me proud, hard work, and dedication and all that blah blah blah. I was in the shower and it hit me-- They should be so proud of Cait who is able to do so well in school *in spite of* having a Chronic Illness. Nope, instead they are concerned about her losing credit b/c she is home sick. Dammit, it makes me so sad and angry and stressed.

I am going to email the VP and her LLMD today and see what I can do to resolve this. And I hate that this takes up so much of my life (as long as I am complaining, I might as well get it all out, eh?? LOL) it is so ridiculous how Lyme takes over *everything.*

Sheesh, now I am getting really upset and emotional and that is not good.

Let me post this, pull myself together and I will be back!

Something to make you all smile:

And one more- this is what Jaida does almost every morning and it is all accompanied by snorting and wuffing sounds

Whew, that made me feel a bit better. The weather is also supposed to be nice today, sunny and not so cold- might even get up to 65* ( ) so it is going to be a Yard Work Therapy Day.
Dinner is going to be a clean out the fridge, like it or leave it.

Kat- jeans, boots, sweater- sounds about right here too. I got home from work, took a really hot shower and put on flannel pjs and a sweatshirt. Crazy crazy!!!
Good luck to Stan with the surgery today. They told Scott the same thing about the recovery and I stocked up on soup and pastina and yogurt, but he was eating regular food in no time. He chewed with his front teeth, and nothing crunchy like nuts but really, he recovered so well. They gave me percoset after mine but only Tylenol w/ codeine and after a day or so he only took it at night so he wouldn't wake up from any pain. *fingers and toes and all good vibes that the same goes for him*

Nancy- How is your DH feeling today? I hope it isn't anything serious. It never rained up here, although they had said maybe in the afternoon. Bet you had fun as always with your girlfriends.
Woot on finishing the wedding album!! I am sure that it looks amazing!
My irises are getting buds and hopefully will bloom soon too :)

Trudy- I saw one of your pics on FB of your hike-- just gorgeous! My neighbors went out on the trail that they own out back and didn't get very far- there was a big bear sleeping on it! Hope you don't come across anything like that on your hikes :)
No one but Brendan liked the soup. It was tomato based broth and I love raw tomatoes but not crazy about tomato sauce, so that threw me off. But I did make a skillet cornbread that was yummy :D

Rae- thanks! Amazing how some paint/stain can make the table look so much different. My brother asked the other day what I did with the old table- I said, That *is* the old table!"
The before pics don't show how grimy and scratched up the surface was and that Ray had chewed the feet of the table when she was a puppy. The chalk paint covered that up so well.

Thanks again, Trudy for helping me out!!

How much fun to have Ava for a sleepover, she sounds like an absolutely joy! What breed is she? She is so pretty and your photo is gorgeous!

OK, my lOves, I guess I need to stop procrastinating and call Cait in to Attendance, and then email the VP and her LLMD...
but first: :cof1:
xoxoxo

good morning - Well this am started early. Up at 6am to get my son's car to get an oil change etc and say hi to my other son. My son told me last night he was dropping the car off and to him that meant that I was following him and bring him back to get a ride with his friend to work. To me that meant he was dropping it off and was going to wait for it to get done. Lack of communication. LOL. And just got back from taking Luther for a walk and he met Loki a 5 month old black lab and they played together for a good 15 min. No barking just playing it was so cute. Now I am back and watching the USA play the Czechs in hockey. The USA is not expected to win but still fun to have morning hockey. The USA coach is my NJ Devils coach and the goalie is my NJ Devils back up goalie. Very cool seeing my team represented. My DH has a virus or allergies and doctor only gave him decongestant and cough medicine. He seems somewhat better this am. Our dinner was fun but the restaurant was not as good as it has been in the past. Fun though catching up on what everyone is doing. Not much going on today.

Chris I love the photos of your table. Wow what a difference! You did an amazing job! Again so sorry about Cait! Have a great day in your yard. In my area it might get into the low 70s. I am happy about that.

Kat I am thinking about you and Stan and sending good vibes to you both. I know what you mean about wearing scarfs in May. Seems ridiculous.

Trudy so glad the hike and swim were such successes. My girlfriends were talking about vertigo last night and buzzing in the ear. They all said that theirs just went away.

Rae love the photo of Ava. Sounds like you had a great night as did the dogs! Sounds like Taz is going to be exhausted when the day is done! I love your computer and TV set up. No wonder you are so organized!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Had a quiet night, Taz and I were a little worn out after having Ava the night before. He zonked out on the couch after dinner and didn't move all night. I had a big salad for dinner and then sat down with a huge bowl of popcorn to munch on as we watched the 3 hr Survivor finale. Of course, with skipping thru the commercials, its only about 2 hrs long. Today my hubs is deciding whether to leave today for the trailer so he can pressure wash the deck before I come up tomorrow. If it doesn't rain this afternoon he'll go. I don't mind having a night to myself. I can get a bit of scrapping done, won't have to make dinner as I'll just have a bowl of soup and might even pop over to the casino for a few hours of fun. Or if he stays home we'll both head over tomorrow afternoon. It'll be nice to have a 3 day weekend. I popped into an organic food store yesterday and got some gluten-free stuff... snickerdoodle cookies, crackers (for cheese or dips) and small cinnamon spice cookies for snacking on (like ones like the goldfish crackers). They are all yummy and fairly low in sugar (as I am eating as little sugar as possible these days). I won't overindulge as I try to eat low carb but at least I have a bit on hand for a treat here and there. When I have time I need to make my own GF cookies and freeze them. I feel so much better this week and have dropped a few pounds so I'm on the right track. The only thing I really miss is bread b/c I haven't found a GF that I like but I'll survive without it.

Chris - hugs to Cait and sorry you have to deal with the school crap. You're right, they should be applauding her tenacity for trying so hard to go to school when dealing with a chronic illness. The idiots.

Trudy - I saw the pic of your hike too. Looked so peaceful. How many go along on your hikes?

Kat - Hope Stan recovers quickly from the teeth extraction. Ugh. Hate dentists.

Nancy - hope your hubs is feeling better today. Too bad the restaurant wasn't as good as you had expected but I'm sure it was still nice to visit with your friend regardless. Enjoy your morning hockey game.

I'm going to get my day going, have laundry to do and want to get a few things ready for my hubs to take to the trailer with him. Have a wonderful day, everyone.

Morning O-zies!! Dull and grey here this morning, but still no rain, we really could use a good rain! On our hike yesterday we passed so many dried up creek beds, it is scary just how dry the forest is right now and its only May!! I need to get out and water my flower beds this morning too! Waiting on a delivery today of our new flat screen tv from telus a promo for switching over to their service. We are really liking the new service so far and its saving us quite a bit of $$. Only thing I really miss is the Shaw Free Range tv, but I think that telus has something similar I just have to find it. Our hike yesterday was so much fun, we did not meet any bears, but did come across many beautiful butterflies and frogs and one little mouse. Not much to be afraid of on this hike :becky: So tranquil and beautiful and I could not believe the height of the ferns, that were everywhere! So pretty! We put on almost 7 miles of hiking and my legs were feeling it for sure. Then the trip to the chiropractor was perfect timing and he re-adjusted my spine and I felt great after that!

Chris - Oh my poor Cait! I hope that you can get through to the school and finally make them see what a great student she is in spite of her chronic illness!! Thanks for the cute pics they made me smile and I hope they made you smile too!! Happy that we did not run into any bears like your neighbour did!! Yikes!! Oh and your table and window sill look just amazing!! What a wonderful job you did on both!! Sorry that your Zinnia pics are not showing up for me though

Nancy - Don't you hate it when there is a lack of communication on things especially when you have to get up so darn early!! :becky: Hope it all worked out! Sounds like your hubby is on the mend, thats great! Sorry to hear that the Restaurant was not as good as you remember, but I bet it was fun to be with your friends just the same! Enjoy your hockey this AM and how nice that Luther had a new friend to play with today!

Rae - Did you get much rain yet? We are hoping that today will bring some much needed moisture!! Isn't it crazy that there is one hour of commercials when you watch your fav shows!! I know when we PVR Big Bang sometimes I count the commercials that we fast forward through and one time I counted 15 just in one break in the show, that is just insane!! So we probably only get to watch about 15 mins of a 1/2 hour program. I found some really great GF bread recipes for a bread maker online, I will look around again and see if I can find them for you. Do you have a bread maker? Sounds like you are in for a great long weekend away!! Hope your hubby gets the power washing done and you get to have a fun night to yourself!! We had 19 on our hike yesterday, sometimes there are more, but usually around 18-20. A fun bunch and man can they talk!! Guess that's why we never run into bears etc. We make far too much noise!! :becky:

Off to swimming after I check the tracking for the tv delivery, that way I can see if I have enough time to go this morning or wait until the afternoon. Have a wonderful day ladies!!

Afternoon everyone! Things went really well with Stan this morning - thanks for all the well-wishes. The oral surgeon was amazing - she had all four teeth out and him stitched up in about 30 minutes!! now we're on post-op care - lots of gauze changes, ice packs and pain management (he's got 600 mg Ibuprophen and Vicodin, to alternate every three hours). all the initial anesthesia is wearing off, so Stan's a little grumpy, so hopefully the first ibuprophen will kick in soon. Got his Ted 2 on DVD to watch ;)
