I see a semi-sunny sky again. :whoo: Maybe our basement will dry out a bit now. Maybe my hair will lose its frizzy poof-ness? That isn't going to happen, so I should bet on the basement instead. ;)

I was thrilled to see the sun yesterday and went and cleared out another section of the yard after I got home from cleaning. I was freezing and everything was wet but I was in the dirt. Yay. (Crud, I forgot to the water the impatiens I planted in the bucket on my steps. I will do that ASAP)

Gary and Caitlyn met my ILs at the DMV, transferred the title of the car over and it is now in our driveway. I drove it around the corner and it is nice! It is bigger than my car and has lots of bells and whistles. The best thing is that it only had 15K miles on it. I was teasing her that now when I say I am taking her car somewhere, I have three to choose from. She had been driving my car for so long that I started referring to it as her car which confused Gary when I kept insisting that I was taking "her" cart to my brother's last week. LOL

I have to get my mammogram done this morning. Yuck. I *know* it will be fine. I just wish that I didn't have it hanging over my head. But I am thinking positively that this one will be my last for the breast surgeon. My last MRI was clear and I finished my treatment 5 years ago, so the 6-month follow-ups shouldn't be necessary anymore. Right? Right.

After that, I am trying to decide if I want to clean inside, maybe do a quick steam clean of the carpets. Or do I want to try and get outside and work in the yard? Or is that a silly question???

Wish me luck this morning!!

Kay- how wonderful to hear that you are feeling better, the RH group and DD#3 visits must have helped so darn much. Sorry that you weren't able to get to the base but those visits were much more important :)
Did it get to 80*? So jealous!!

Trudy- awesome to hear that you had good weather for your hike. Scott was up in the mountains again yesterday too, thank goodness he doesn't mind the cold. You have been hitting the pool at the right times- 30 laps, keep it up!!! :first:
Excellent news about the Gallery and the pricing. You should have one of your kids help you with your Bio, they will give a more accurate view of yourself than you will- they see you as you are, not as how we typically see ourselves.

Jean- fonts....oh what to do about fonts! :pound: I need to go through and uninstall a lot of ones that I don't use. Some that I don't remember how they got there in the first place either. :noidea:
Scott is working at the local Garden center and at the Ecology center where he got the scholarship. Caitlyn is taking 2 summer courses and will be babysitting for the 2 families that she has been with for the last couple of years. I miss the days when we would go to the local lake and dig in the sand and swim.

Kay- how awesome that you treated yourself to some jewelry! and 92*--- Ok that is hot, even *I* admit that! LOL

Morning ladies... It is hazy, almost smokey looking outside, not sure what that is all about? Sure hope that there is not a forest fire going on somewhere! The forecast is calling for scattered showers today, although right now I see lots of patches of blue sky out there. Yesterday's hike was a lot tougher than what was described to us in the announcement. It was a beautiful one, but oh man are my legs tired today! Lots of hard climbing to get to the spot where we stopped to admire the lovely views! I hope to get a page done from this hike very soon!

Chris - Hooray for getting outside in the dirt yesterday! Even if you were cold :mmph: The warm weather has got to reach you soon I hope!! How wonderful that Cait has a lovely reliable vehicle to use now! I bet that Scott was a happy man up there in the mountains yesterday! I know it always does my soul good to be up there and looking out over the world below! We talked about how great it would be to have a home with a view like the ones we saw yesterday, but all agreed that all you would do all day is sit and stare out the window, nothing else would get done :becky:

Jean - Ugh don't talk about Fonts!! I have so many of them and like you have no idea where some of them came from, it takes me forever to decide which ones I want to use on a page and usually I end up choosing the same ones over and over again! So why have so many??? :noidea:

Kay - Yikes 90 degrees!! That is a tad warmer than I like it! Sounds like you had a very busy and productive day yesterday! What a lovely gift you purchased for yourself, how nice!! Ugh on having the unwanted plastic bags!! I now have some great produce bags from Norwex and use them at the grocery store over and over. They are made from a nice mesh and have a drawstring closure they wash up great in the laundry. We will soon be banning plastic bags all together so I am trying to prepare for that. Looking forward to seeing your before and after photos!!

Well now I need to get started on this Artist's Bio, wish me luck as I have no idea how to do it! Heather does not have any time to help and our son Jason is far too busy at work to give me a hand, so I guess I am on my own. Yikes!! Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!

Morning, gals. Well, I know I was tired from yesterday... fell asleep before 9 PM and slept in until 8 AM!!! Guess the body took over and kept me resting until it was feeling better. Guess this is the week for running errands... still have a few things to get from the local grocery store - love their brand of ice cream and some fruit that is on sale. Also need to stop by the Post Office, the library and senior citizen library. So it will be another busy day.

Yesterday's temp @ 92* reminded me of what summer will be like. Only suppose to get to 82* today which is comfortable. Still on the roller-coaster as it is suppose to dip back to 62*/rain on Tuesday and then back to 80* by the end of next week. I was going to turn the heat off but guess I should hold off for another week or so. Glad I have enough space in the closet now so I can keep both winter/summer clothes there. It was a real pain to pack and switch them each season.

Chris, so glad to hear that Cait has a reliable car now. Glad you got to spend some time in the yard, too. I know that lifts your spirits. Hope your mammo went okay. Congrats on being a 6 year survivor... DD#1 is a 10 year survivor.

Trudy, sorry your hike was tougher than advertised... but glad you made it okay. Bet you saw some wonderful scenery along the way. Good luck on getting your Bio for the gallery done.

Jean, I am with Trudy... have scads of fonts but I keep going back to a few favorites. I just unzipped a bunch of them last week that I had downloaded several months ago. Guess I should try to use some of the newer ones. LOL

Well, this is getting the laundry sorted or errands run. CYL

Somehow it is sunny and about 70* now. Just wish Saturday would be like this so DH's group can play outside for the local festival they've been doing each year. And his sister and niece will be there too! (I'll be across town at the computer genealogy group doing my usual talks.) Got some stuff done this morning and will head to the art class shortly.

Chris, good luck with the mammo results, but I'm guessing all will be well! I'm with everyone else in being relieved for Cait to have such a deal on a good car. Summer plans for her and Scott sound just right for each even if you'll be missing the good times with them. You all have such good times together. Hope you get this better weather and can get outside without being so cold.

Trudy, good luck with the bio. I just read one I had a few years ago for an exhibit. It wasn't much, but it had the basic stuff and what/why I was doing my drawings. It included a flattering photo of me too. While your legs may protest the strenuous hike, sounds like it was pretty super for the views. Look forward to your page on it. Good luck Bruins tonight!

Kay, what a good long sleep you had! Must have needed it. Love the description of the jewelry you got. What a nice treat. That 92* is too hot for me, but your inside temp would make it OK. Hope you have fun with all the errands today.
